The Apple Of My Eye

Any fool can count the seeds in an apple. Only God can count all the apples in one seed. ~Robert H. Schuller

Around here, apple time is a big deal. We even have an Apple Days weekend, with crafts and everything apple. This year, I have never seen as many big beautiful apples. And we discovered a new apple! It is called Kiku, isn't it just beautiful? It is an offshoot of the Fuji, and  it is the world's sweetest apple! It is also very expensive! But you know what they say: An apple a day makes the bloggers go HEY!

“One day a man arrived from Baal Shalishah. He brought the man of God twenty loaves of fresh-baked bread from the early harvest, along with a few apples from the orchard. Elisha said, “Pass it around to the people to eat.”

I never heard of that brand of apple before. So far all the apples I've bought this year haven't been very good.
I would enjoy the Apple Days weekend

Everything apple, what a fun! I love Fuji apple but never heard of Kiku before. I gotta check out the grocery store. Your photos make my mouth water :-)

I love that antique store sign! I've never heard of a kiku, but no sweet apples for me. Granny Smith's are my favorite.

Ginny, I seldom eat apples, I normally blend them into juice..
On the humor side, I use Apple phone, cannot leave home without it.. hahaha...

I haven't heard of this one! It sounds like a tasty apple and I'm sure I'd love it. We planted a couple of dwarf apple trees year before last, so I'm hoping to have some in my yard! I love apples.
Love your photos, Ginny, and the header is fantastic!

We got quite a few apples on our tree at the House this year and I took home some (couldn't reach to pick all). Then I also got some from relatives who had in turn got them from someone else... So I've been eating a lot of apples this autum! :)

I love that quote by Schuller. He isn't on any more is he - his son is.

When I see that beautiful red apple I can help but see God.

I haven't seen Kiku Apples around here, but I'll keep my eyes open. We do have a nice apple harvest festival each year, however.

That is a great apple sharing. I love good, sweet ones. I really like the Pink Lady.

Hey!
Apples are big business in these parts too. I love a good crisp sweet one. The Kiku I haven't heard of before but I'll check the next time I'm at the grocery store. I love how you turned this beautiful piece of fruit into a work of art.

It is pretty, but if it is sweet, it is not for me! I can eat them, but prefer a fuller flavor to tart...but loved all your shots.

HEY! And I forgot to eat my apple today!

Always on the look out for great apples. This past year has produced a number of sweet apples here on the Island and one in particular comes to mind is Free Red, I'll have to try that Kiku apple before.
