Rudolph...

Good Morning everyone

Last Christmas for a swap i made some ATC's with this funky rudolph stamp which i liked so much i decided to make a batch of cards based on them.

5x5" kraft card blank.  I took a piece of kraft paper and smooched blue oxide inks over it, once dry i stamped small snowflakes with the same oxide inks, i then matted it onto the card front.  I die cut a kraft card square and stamped the rudloph face with black versaclair ink.

I made myself a mask of the head shape by stamping the face onto copier paper and tearing around the shape, this gave a softer edge than cutting with scissors, i then added the mask over the base image with repositionable tape pen.  I then stamped a Christmas verse background stamp over the top with sepia archival ink.  Keeping the mask in place i added a light layer of oxide ink to the background & also stencilled on some stars using Diamond starlight paint so it really shimmers in the light. I then removed the mask.  I added colour to Rudolph and green stickles glitter glue to the berries on his antlers for a punch of contrast colour.

I Stamped the nose again onto white cardstock and watercoloured red, i added a generous covering of glossy accents and once dry cut out and added to the base image with glue gel to give him his lovely red shiny nose. I matted the layer onto kraft paper and then the card front.

Computer printed sentiment cut up and added to finish.

Here you can see the diamond starlight stars in the background

Version 2.  As most of you know I do like making something a bit unusual so these were such fun to make and its good to use an old stamp set too.
