Spring tulips

Good Morning everyone

Spring flowers - i can't decide which is my fav as when the snowdrops come out in January they bring promise with them then we head into the cheerful yellow daffodils which brighten up a grey wet spring here in Cornwall where they often grow wild in the hedgerows and then comes the vibrancy of tulips...basically i love them all and grow them all in my little garden.

I used this lovely little tulip in wellies die and teamed it with pastel polka dot papers....not often i go for pastel shades

5.5x6" green cardbase.  I first die cut my tulips/wellies from polka dot papers & the green card and paper pieced together.  Just adding a little shading around the wellies with a grey alcohol marker.
I die cut a border edge die from the front edge of my base card.  I then cut layers using the same die from pastel polka dot papers, you only need it deep enough to slot under the one above so only need a small stripe of the papers, i then die cut a white panel with the same die, added foam tape and adhered it to the card front leaving a little of the green base card showing at the top edge.
I added a strip across the middle of the card using the same papers/colours.  Die cut a white circle and green circle to fit the wellies and attached to the card base and then added my tulip wellies with glue gel.  Stamped sentiment to finish.

Just a close up of the tulips wellies.

As i had left over tulips and wellies from die cutting in the different colours i used them all up, so this is version 2.  On this one you can see the card closed shut, i added a little strip of the polka dots to the inside back edge so you can see it when the card is closed - when its stood up open you just see the green shaped edge as shown on the first photo above....hope that makes sense😀

Items Used:
Simon Says stamp ' rainboot planter'
MFT Border Edge dies
Circle dies
Clearly besotted sentiment stamps
Anna Marie crafts polka dot cardstock
Echo park paper pad ' dots & stripes'

Thank you all for stopping by.  I hope its a good end to the week & weekend for you all.  Emmax

Herd of Rabbits

Good Morning everyone

Now thats a question, on going to type up this post I was trying to think what the collective term for rabbits is and found i didn't know.....Mr google and lots of reading and im not much the wiser...herd, colony, warren, flock & nest were all named...So i asked the family, being farmers one would think they would know as they have alot of wild rabbits....after alot of discussion around the Christmas table (i didn't mention google results) they weren't sure but decided it must be warren......   Although I guess as a male rabbit is a buck and female a doe then herd is more likely?

Anyway i was given this fab tonic rabbit die set for my birthday so decided to use it to make a birthday card for my Niece and also a few more bunnies for the box.  Lizzy was 8 just before Christmas.

This shows the front and back of the card as i decorated both sides as it only makes a small card...size approx 3x5.5"...  I dug out all the paper scraps for these.  I started with chocolate pearlised cardstock for the base of the rabbit, used  a ivory card for the body layer and decorated using the dies in the set.  Computer printed sentiments onto a very pale pink cardstock and die cut again using a label die that comes in the set.  I added glitter to the flower centre for a little bit of bling.

This shows how they easily stand up.  I die cut the body mat layer from pale cardstock to line inside to write on

A hug version, this shows 2 cards, i did the dress on the front and the male outfit on the back.  For these ones i used a ginger pearl double sided cardstock for the base card.

I also did 2 baby versions, one for a girl and one for a boy

and a get well and birthday version.  The get well sentiment die comes with the rabbits so fits perfectly. The birthday is an old justrite sentiment stamp

Items Used:
Tonic studio dies 'Bernice & Bradley Bunny' 3638e
Various paper scraps
Ginger & Chocolate pearl cardstock
Cream & Ivory cardstock
Justrite sentiment stamp
Ranger stickles glitter glue

I hope you all have a good week.  Ive not yet found my mojo after its Christmas break so still tidying up the craft stash and ive still plenty of projects to share with you😃  Stay safe. Hugs Emmaxxx

Birthday Girls

Good Morning everyone

Today Im sharing the cards ive made for my Nieces Sophie & Lizzy's birthdays next month....having 5 nieces now its getting harder to come up with different ideas for them.

Sophie will be 9 and just loves her nail polish so ive made this little nail polish bottles shaped card.  I cut the base from black card, the inner from pink & blue satin & purple mirri card so they are bright and vibrant.  Computer printed the sentiments for the labels and then die cut.  I cut the lids from white card and added a little shading with a grey marker.

Trying to get a photo showing the true colour of the satin and mirri isn't easy!

For Lizzy one of the huggable dog cards and i made a very simple balloon for him to hold to add Lizzy's name and age too.  Ive used 300gsm card folded in half for the balloon stem so its nice and study to stand upto handling and holding the balloon up.  You can see how i made him here

6x6" card. House mouse image, i found papers in my stash to pick up on the purple and greens in the printed image and used a purple pearl card for the base and matting the topper. Glitter highlights on the image and computer printed sentiment

6x6" card. I used pink glitter card with a soft blue and peach to pick up on the colours in the toppers. I decoupaged the image.  I printed the housemouse images from the Joanna Sheen house mouse CDroms

Items Used:
Nail polish die set
Huggables die set
Fishtail banner die set
Joanna Sheen housemouse cdrom
Anna Marie cardstock - birthday and polka dot
Trimcraft paper
B&M pink glitter card
Payper box purple pearl card
Hunkydory purple mirri card, blue & pink satin card

I hope you are all holding in there ok, hopefully its a goodish week for you.  Stay safe. Hugs Emmax

Pack of huggable dogs

Good Morning everyone.

Today is a fun set of cards, they are very mini, i got the die set for childrens birthdays but as the arms fold in i thought they would make lovely little hug and get well cards.

Approx size 4x4"   I die cut all the elements from kraft card and coloured with alcohol markers. I folded a piece of kraft card in half and set the dog body die over the edge and cut so that i had a shaped cardbase, i attached the first kraft dog to the front of this base card and added all the little elements, so flat and some with glue gel for dimension.  I used a fab set of sentiment stamps from Clearly besotted which fit perfectly in the tummy area.  I folded the arms in gently along the score lines.
A close up of one little doggy

Showing it side on how the arms are coming forwards and they do fold all the way in to touch his tummy.

Items Used:
Critter hugger die set
Clearly besotted sentiment stamps 'mini calligraphy'
Kraft card
Alcohol markers

Birdie Hugs

Good Morning Everyone

Today im sharing a little Hugs card for a friend.  Using more new Katzelkraft stamps of these fabulous quirky birds, combining them with ombre papers.

DL in size.  I took a piece of this fab ombre paper for the background, i felt it looked like a night sky so after cutting to size i splashed silver paint on to look like stars - its metallic so shimmers in the light, i attached to the cardfront.  I then stamped my birds, once on the base and again onto patterned papers.
On the paper birds I used white paint on their eyes and yellow paint to their beaks, i then cut them out, gently shaped the bodies and added to the base lining up with their legs. Glossy accents added to their eyes.
I stamped the hugs sentiment. I then took a fineliner black pen and doodled in the ground for them to stand on.  Stamped the berry/flowers using a mini lavinia stamp.
I doodled with a white gel pen and added black glitter to the flowers to finish.

Close up, you can see their glossy eyes shining.

Items Used:
Katzelkraft bird stamps 'Les zoisos' KTZ217
Katzelkraft sentiment stamps 'Carpe Diem' KTZ206
Lavinia mini berry stamp (LAV509)
12x12 Paper pad 'Ombre Effects' B&M
Silver acrylic paint
CraftUK ltd A3 white cardstock
Black Diamond stickles

Thank you all for stopping by.  I hope you are having a good week.  Hugs Emmax
