A day at the beach..

oh! how I wish!..Can you believe it I am actually digging the loft out!! Even though I live minutes from the beach I don't really like sand very much, but today it has to be better than sorting the loft!!
We have decided that we need to do a car-boot sale at the weekend....yikes because if we don't get some of this stuff off the floor  it will crack the ceilings. How on earth do we collect so much stuff.
Anyway as I came down for some lunch I decided to post my card for the ATCAS challenge code Holiday I have chosen a stamp that I bought a couple of years ago from Joanna Sheen its a Faye Whittaker All our yesterdays

Should be out fishing!

Morning Lovely Bloggers, and welcome to my new followers Joey and Chris, I am thrilled to have you on board.
Hope you have sunshine wherever you are. Its a lovely morning here and hubby has been out in the garden since 8-15 what does he find to do out there? The lawns are immaculate and the hedges and flowers stood to attention, yet he still finds work to do. I am however not complaining as it gives me time and space to craft...I mean do housework..hmm hmm!!
Today I have a card to post which I am anything but happy about, but too late to make another for the challenge. First let me say I am totally rubbish at Distress inks! so I decided I would have a go at doing a sky...yet again, every card I try it on ends up in the bin....lol But Practice makes perfect as they keep telling me, I wish!
I keep promising myself that I won't post anymore rubbish cards but to be honest I am starting to think I would have very little to post otherwise.....lol
I did like the idea in my head of this one but getting it to look like the idea was another matter :O
 I started with a peice of card which I inked the sky on...no I didn't get carried away..hmm! it was supposed to be a cloudy day :o  my nose is growing by the minute.
 Then I added Sandpaper for sand and distressed it a bit...its me that's distressed I think!
 Coloured the image from Delicious Doodles with promarkers  and cut it along the shape of the wall, then stamped a few seagulls in the sky.....I know ..I know, I know, they are flying ducks but who's looking!
Well do you get the idea now that I am not happy with it, but the challenge at Without words..Beach Holiday/At the Seaside ends shortly and I hadn't time to start again. I really enjoy joining this challenge so this had to be it this time, I am not sure its classed as CAS either, oh! dear it just gets worse....lol  

Well I will hopefully be back soon with something I am happy with, and of course to do some blog hopping, I so need some inspiration.

This is a fairly quick post as I need to go pay my eldest daughter a visit :) They are off to the sunny USA tomorrow for three weeks. As part of the holiday they will be visiting a lovely old friend of ours and staying a few days with them. We first met Debbie when she stayed at our house for a week as part of our Church mission. That was in 1981 don't the years fly by!!! It feels like yesterday that she was that young single girl, and here she is in her 50's with a beautiful grown up family. She will always be part of us, and I know Amanda will so enjoy her stay with them.
Anyway onto my card before I go and wish them Happy holly jollies.

The image is a little Cutie from Mo Manning of couse and The back balloon paper I can't really tell you as it came from my daughter quite along time again  and i have lost the cover off the book.
The spotty paper however is LOTV NitWitcollection.
I cut out a few balloons and added some silicone glue to lift them alittle and mounted my image onto pads. The die is Spellbinders Wonky Squares, I added the back by making a faux square as the size up was too big...hope that makes sense!

Cow Parsley to the rescue..

Evening Everyone, 
Well here is my card as promised, I so wanted to craft the other night so I dug out the mojo from his hidy hole and dusted my desk off...well table to be correct and off I went.

I kept it CAS again and used a Inkylicious stamp called Cow Parsley I heat embossed it and added a shadow. I embossed the panels of the card and decorated the inside to compliment the front.

 I will link it to a couple of challenges shortly as its time to eat now, I am rumbling with hunger...thats nothing fresh...lol
 Will pop round and pay as many visits as I can tonight and be back tomorrow.

The wanderer returns...

Hi Lovely Bloggers, Well after a dreadful few weeks I think I am back doing what I like best :)) I have so missed you all and can't wait to catch up with all the news and creations you have to share.
My Sister is a little brighter in herself, but is still awaiting her MRI scan date, we expect that any day now. She has been to see a Physio and although she hasn't really started any work with her yet we feel that something is being done after 9mths of nothing! We are no wiser as to why her hand is turning black/brown..that could be a different issue..Diabetic related :(   but the actual arm pain may be a bulging 
Vertebra ....possible the hand is related to that too if its cutting off blood supply. However all is in limbo till we get the MRI done.  They have at least sorted her pain meds out.
I have got more time to myself too so I will be around blogland a lot more. Thanks to all those that stuck by me and I am sorry to lose those that got sick of waiting :( or got sick of the doom and gloom...lol  that's more likely I guess.
I will be back later today with a card and to do some much needed catching up.

Fancy a dip.....

Good morning lovely bloggers,
Sorry  I have been unable to blog of late. So much going on here as well as taking care of Sis, life has thrown another real curved ball our way, But will share another time maybe as emotionally drained at present.
Anyway today we have a bit of brightness to look forward to as we are going to a BBQ in a village on the moors. Some of you may remember that one of my gorgeous Grandsons got engaged a couple of weeks ago...well his future inlaws have invited us all to an evening BBQ  so looking forward to that. They own a number of properties in the village...... also have Sisters/ parents/grandparents/Aunties, all living in the village too, so I think  we should be OK for parking at least.....lol
Anyway onto my card, I sat and made this last night as I needed something to keep my mind busy. I am far from happy with it but at least I made something. I am afraid my mojo is somewhere else at present, Please send it home if you find it :(     Mind you I wish I could go hide with it wherever it is....lol  I think I will start a new trend..hibernating in the summer.
 I wanted to enter the ATCAS #19  code..Summer and also the Without Words Beach/holiday Challenge  so this is what I came up with. Sorry I haven't a clue where the little 3D surfer came from, I have had him a few years now. I don't use these sort of images since I found stamping but he was just perfect for my watercolour background. I have to admit I enjoyed doing that bit :)) I usually use ink/water but had a try with my watercolour paint instead. I think its harder to keep it from covering the whole paper when you dip it though...... more practice needed.  However at least the card is CAS :)
