I Got it To work........

Hi Everyone

Have you seen Birgit Koopsen playing with resist printing on the gelli plate? If not you can catch Birgit's fabulous video HERE. Needless to say I just had to have a go. Now I will be really honest with you this was my 3rd attempt to get it to work. I had tried this with out much success on 2 previous occasions and decide to not bother. However as I am the sort of person who doesn't like to be beaten I had a couple of spare hours today and gave it another go and I got it to work, it was probably just me!!

I have no idea what I am going to do with them but I got it to work.

A Happy Birthday Card

Hi Everyone

This morning has been spent making a card for my Dad as it's his birthday this coming week. I find cards for my Dad the hardest to make but I couldn't go and buy one, could I?

This is quite a simple card but I actually quite like how it turned out.

Using a scrap of gelli printed card I stamped the balloon man from Tim Holtz 'Theories' stamp set using the stamping platform as this needs several goes to get the solid black filled in. I then mounted on black card and made a background mount using just the text part of the same stamp.

I then just coloured the little hearts with a red gel pen and mounted it onto a black card blank.

A Tim Holtz Chit Chat sentiment finishes it off.

It's not his birthday till next week but he wont see this so I thought I could share it early.

Hope that you are having a lovely weekend. I'm off to clean out my hen house now!!!

A Quick Tag

Hi Everyone

I hope you are all having a lovely Easter Sunday. 

I've popped into to my craftroom for a quick play this afternoon creating on a tag from my stash that I had used to mop up a previous painty play. 

I have used Tim's tightrope image and sentiment from his recently released stamp set 'Theories'. I stencilled the building underneath using cityscape from TCW a 2 part stencil that allows you to add the building details which I did with a white gel pen which I then dulled down as it was to white. A little bit of stencilling in red with Tim's dot fade stencil, washi tape and machine stitching finish the tag off.
