Follow your Dreams

Hi Everyone
I hope you have all had a fabulous Christmas and looking forward to 2019. I am sharing with you today my last post as a guest designer for AALL & Create. I have had a fabulous few months creating my art using the latest collections of stamps and stencils and I hope that you have enjoyed them too.
This is my last piece and uses 'Create it Grunge' #150 designed by Tracy Evans.

I have created a DL card using just the one stamp as I think it speaks for itself.
Quite a simple one this one adding interest by die cutting the squares out of the stamped image.

Colouring the squares with a selection of distress inks with the flower head being shaded grey using coloured pencils and then added back to the card. The squares that contain the main flower head I have put back with some dimension to add further interest.

to finish it off I added a strip of striped washi tape and then mounted onto a black card blank.

Travel the World

Hi Everyone
I would like to share with you my latest make as guest designer for AALL & Create and I have a DL card for you using the fabulous camper van image designed by Bipasha BK.

I started the background by creating the colour using distress oxides in shades of blue I then added to the left a piece of the world torn from an atlas.

I then stamped my image using a stamping platform and painted the camper van whilst still keeping it in the stamping platform so enable me to stamp the detail back in once the paint had dried.

Once I had painted my van, and I had to go with the classic colours of red and cream, and stamped the detail back in I trimmed the card to fit my DL card.

I then added further colour with coloured pencils and once happy added the Tim Holtz chit chat saying "adventure awaits you" as I am sure if you owned one of these retro camper vans you certainly would!!

The fabulous stamp I used is Tropical Vibes #141

Time Flies for AALL & Create

Hi Everyone
I'm sharing with you today another make for AALL & Create using some of the stamps from the December release.

I have created this piece on a large That's Crafty MDF tag #10.

I started by covering the tag with a selection of card tags in different coloured card.

I then painted on a layer of clear gesso and then coloured all the tags using distress crayons to create a rusty grungy look.

I then stamped the A4 Edison Game #142 stamp, designed by Olga Heldwein, onto tissue paper in order to get a clean image over the lumps and bumps of the tag background.
I then wanted to add the large butterfly which is part of another of the A4 stamps this is from Time Flies #143 designed by Tracy Evans. Again I stamped this section of the stamp onto tissue paper

and then layered this over  adding the tissue with matt medium.
The sentiment is also from Tracy's stamp which I stamped onto card, cut out, and then tripled embossed with clear embossing powder. I then popped into the freezer for 15 mins to allow me to the crack the thick embossing and then rubbed over Decoart antiquing cream in patina green to highlight the cracks.
I finished by wrapping some rusting wire round the bottom of the tag and added the sentiment over that.

Be A Fruit Loop

Hi Everyone
I'm sharing with you today a card I have made as guest designer for AALL & Create who have just released a surprise collection and I have been super lucky to receive this collection to play with. This smaller collection features some more fabulous designs from the talented team which I am sure will all become new favourites. When I set eyes on the collection I was immediately drawn to the fabulous A4 stamp 'Tropical Vibes' #141 expertly drawn by Bipasha BK and includes lots of hidden details as with her stamps.

One look at this stamp and it just cried out to be coloured in so I set to with my prisma colour pencils.
First was to lay down my background with shades of grey pencil blending the colour with blending soloution.

Then I spent a totally chill out few hours colouring in all the fabulous details, again with Prisma colour pencils.

I just love how the hours just past by when you are absorbed in colouring an image.

There is a message written on the banner underneath the image which I thought was speaking to me! "Always be a fruit loop" so I die cut this out in co-ordinating card colours with an alphabet die to add to the card. Before adding it I added some splashes of paint to match the colour palette that I had chose to colour the image in.
Isn't this just a fabulous image?

Light Up with Blossoms

Hi Everyone
It's my day to share some art made using the fabulous products from AALL & Create and this time I am using The large A4 stamp Blossomed Numbers #109 designed by Tracy Evans.

I know it's not a new technique but thought I would have a go at decorating a large church candle with the complete A4 stamp.

This is quite a simple technique but can be a lovely way of making a special gift.
First I stamped and repeat stamped Tracy's Blossomed numbers onto tissue paper (I have used Tim Holtz tissue paper on a roll).

On the reverse side of the stamped tissue paper I painted out selected parts that I wanted to be bright white in my finished project.
I then turned the tissue paper back over and started colouring in the tissue paper using Zig colour clean brush markers, these pens blended really well on Tim's tissue paper.

I just continued colouring it all in. The tissue paper was slightly longer than I needed so at this point I trimmed it down so there would be a minimal overlap once on the candle.
I did leave the coloured in tissue paper overnight to allow the Zig pens to dry before I decorated the candle.

I now had to add my tissue paper to my candle I lined up the tissue paper onto the candle and I held it in place with a few dressmaking pins in order to keep it level. Starting at one end of your tissue switch on your heat gun and gently melt the wax on the candle which grabs the decorated tissue paper and embeds it into the candle. Keep moving the gun around to evenly melt the candle wax and don't over melt it so the wax runs.

You can see how white the paint looks once embedded into the wax. I placed my candle onto a holder and added some black wire and bakers twine to the bottom along with the word Bloom from a part of the stamp.

I wanted to complete this gift by wrapping it which has been simply done using a piece of cellophane but I have added some finishing touching by stamping one of the Bloom stamps onto shrink plastic 3 times and colouring with copic pens prior to heat shrinking and also some flat backed clear gems that have the stamped detail behind them.

Who left the tap on? for AALL & Create

Hi everyone
It's my day, as a guest designer, to share some more art using products from the latest release from AALL & Create.  For todays post I have combined stamps from 2 different AALL & Create stamp designers to create my card.

I have used #116 'Industrial scripts' border stamp by Bipasha BK to create my scene for the adorable #135 'Quack the Ducks' designed by Olga Heldwein.

Background was created using Distress Oxides and then I stamped the industrial stamp onto the background and added some shading using Prismacolour pencils. When I saw the tap on the end of the design I just had to put someone underneath it, and who better?

All the ducks were stamped and coloured onto a separate piece of card, coloured again with Prismacolour pencils and cut out.
The splash from the water hitting the umbrella is from one of the other duck stamps on the sheet. The water has been added using distress oxide ink and a paint brush and then covered in glossy accents.  The running water from the tap has created quite a crowd!!
I die cut the speech bubble from a leftover piece of my background and added the text, also found on the ducks stamps set.
It was then added to a kraft card DL card blank.

You are a Star!

Hi Everyone
I'm here with you today sharing my latest make for AALL & Create and this time I have created a photo holder cube.

I have created my holder using and ATB (a 2.5" cube die from Sizzix)
Lots of Photo's on this post to share all the sides with you.

To decorate my cube I have used the 'In the Cinema" background stamp #139 designed by Olga Heldwein and my movie stars are the Angels designed by Louise Nelson #130 & #132.
Everything has been given an aged look using distress inks, lots of vintage photo in there and coloured with pencils also in brown shades to continue the aged look.
I have used several film strip and slide mount design dies from both Sizzix and Tonic and the star dies are Sizzix.
The little film rolls feet are little cotton reels that I have painted black and covered with a strip cut from in 'In the Cinema' stamp.
The Gold stars are stamped and heat embossed in black onto Tim Holtz gold card. It was then just a case of putting it all together.

Game On

Hi Everyone
It's my day to share some art using the fabulous AALL & Create products and for this weeks make I have used just one stamp, #115 Chess Art, designed by the talented stamp designer Bipasha BK.

The border stamp range from AALL & Create are perfect for creating a DL card which I have done here.

For this weeks make I have let the stamp do the talking as the detail that Bipasha includes in her designs is stunning and speaks for itself.

The background was created using yellow and a touch of grey Brusho powder, enhanced with a little
Hickory Smoke distress ink.
I then stamped over the brusho and then again onto white card

I then die cut the words "Game On" from the plain white card stamped piece and coloured with distress inks Hickory smoke and scattered straw and then lined up the letters so the stamped design totally lined up, for dimension I added the letters with silicone 3D gel.
TO add a little more interest I added machine stitching and torn pieces of washi tape and finished off with a Tim Holtz Chit Chat sticker. I added it all to a black DL card.
