Bright Colours for That's Crafty Challenge blog

Hi Everyone
It's the start of another challenge fortnight over at That's Crafty Challenge Blog and for our latest challenge we want to see
'Bright Colours'
Here's a little piece of inspiration for you

To create this I first stamped the circles, which is one of the A4 stamps from Carabelle Studio, I then masked them off and created the background using Ranger dye ink pads transferring the ink to the mini circle gelli plate.
I then stencilled the woman and the background details.
Finally added the absolutely fabulous die cut from Die-namics.
You'll find more inspiration and all the details HERE
If you decide to play along with us you will automatically be in with a chance to win a £20 That's Crafty voucher to spend online.

Oxides meet the Colonel

Hi Everyone
I hope you are all enjoying the Easter Weekend.
Like everyone out there at the moment I am loving Tim's new Oxide inks and used a background I had using them for the base of a card for my Dads birthday.

I have used the Fabulous 'Colonel' stamp from Bee Crafty (great for male cards), masked him off and stencilled the clock, by That's Crafty, behind him using vintage photo distress ink. Sentiment is from Rubber Dance stamps. His glass I covered in decoart liquid glass so it does look like a glass just that the photo doesn't show it up.
To get a little texture into my background before applying the Oxides I first did some mark making onto the card using masking fluid and bubble wrap and a plastic cap for the rings. Once the masking liquid was dry I applied the oxides by picking up the colours from my craft mat using faded jeans,  fossilized amber and vintage photo.

Once you removed the masking fluid you can see the pattern, which I then cut to the size I needed.
I've even had to download the labels from Rangers site, you'll find the labels Here

Roll on the rest of the colours.
Have a fabulous day and thanks for stopping by

Guesting at Craft Stamper Blog

Hi Everyone
I was lucky enough to have been chosen as the winner of Craft Stampers 'Take it, Make it' challenge for February. As such I have been invited to share a guest make to support this months
'Anything Goes Stamping Challenge"

This has given me the chance to ink up for the first time one of the latest stamps from Brett Weldele and these stamps come from his '1980's Volume 1' set.
This has been built up by stamping the 'Super' stamp then masking it off, then the girl and she was then masked off. All the stencilling was then done on the background creating a graphic equaliser look blending distress inks. I then stamped the 'halftone stars' from Waltzingmouse stamps and then the word 'Retro' twice, The final sentiment is from Indigoblu. Once this was all dry I removed the masking to reveal all the layers and then coloured the main image with prisma colour pencils.

You will find all the details HERE about playing along with craft Stampers challenge this month.
This is my 2nd post of the day and it's only 9 o'clock! Previous post was to launch the latest challenge over at That's Crafty Challenge Blog HERE
Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous Easter weekend

'Outnumbered' - New Challenge at That's Crafty Challenges

Hi Everyone
We start this Easter bank holiday weekend with a new challenge fortnight over at That's Crafty Challenge Blog. Our theme for the next 2 weeks is

'OUTNUMBERED'
we are looking for projects where numbers are the main focus.
For my little piece of inspiration for you I have a birthday card

I have layered numbers on numbers for this one. Background has been made first with swooshing the card through spritzed distress oxides. I have then stamped a layer of numbers using Tim's Numeric Numbers large stamp set again using a selection of different colours of the oxides, I then slightly misted the stamping to soften and oxidise the stamping. I then stamped another layers of numbers this time using distress paints in the same colours I had used in the oxides, this time I have stamped using Tim's new foam stamps, the numbers are from the Idea-ology Lower block cling set. My final addition of numbers were to finally add some remnant rubs.
The Happy Birthday sentiment is again using Tim's foam stamps but I have mixed the lower and upper sets and stamped using black soot distress paint. I have then added additional stamped text which is from Unity stamps.

As always we would love it if you played along with us this fortnight and you could be the lucky winner of a £20 voucher to spend online at That's Crafty.

Wasted!!

Hi Everyone
I have just been playing with a new stamp from Bee Crafty 'The Colonel' from their Steampunk Stories range. This is a lovely big stamp but instead of going with a steampunk/vintage theme I thought I would just have a bit of fun with him.

Wasted!! I'm sure that most of us have been there lol.
I started with another of my pieces of card that I had been playing with Distress Oxides and onto that I stamped the Colonel image and the only part I added additional colour was his drink. I then masked him off and added the sunshine beams coming from his drink using normal Distress inks, over that I stencilled the 'Game Over' which is a Brett Weldele stencil (a new favourite). The text has been added using a Darkroom door alphabet set with some of the letters picked out by stamping on white paper and cutting out.
Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous weekend
