I. Learning Objectives: At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:
a) explain what an interview;
b) distinguish strategies used the interview; and
c) employ strategies for conducting an effective
interview .

give example in the given strategies.

What is an interview?
An interview is structured conversation where one
participant asks questions, and the other provides
answers.

DURING PREPARATION

 Preparation for interviewing is very important.


It requires both friendly manner and a careful
preparation.
 A formal interview can be requested through a
phone call, letter or in person.
HOW TO WRITE EFFECTIVE QUESTIONS

 As a good interviewer, you need to be


selective with the questions you have because
not all questions are effective during an
interview.

DURING THE INTERVIEW

This checklist will be your guide during the interview.

Duration: 20 minutes
4. Application The students will apply the things they learned.
Directions: You are tasked to interview a KPOP Star
about what he/she thinks about the Philippines as a
tourist spot via zoom or Google meet. During the
preparation stage, what are the things you need to
prepare? Use at least five questions that you will use
in the interview.

C. Evaluation The Teacher will administer an evaluation in
order to measure the learnings of the students.

Directions: Write the things you need to do during


preparation for an interview. Your task is to write the
sentences on its corresponding column. If the
sentence/phrase is a good one, write it under the
Effective column, but if the sentence/phrase needs to
be avoided, write it under Ineffective column.

Duration: 10 minutes
D. Assignment The teacher will give out an assignment to
employ strategies for conducting an effective
interview.
