Begin with a brief discussion on the importance of organization in writing and ask students how they
feel when they read a well-organized vs. a poorly organized piece of writing. After that, the teacher
will explain the topic which is about using a step topic outline to organize ideas effectively.

Define what a step topic outline is—a hierarchical structure that helps break down and organize
main ideas and supporting details in a systematic way.
3. Generalization
After the discussion, ask students to summarize the discussion and give their insights about the topic
taught.

Answer Performance Task 1 and Performance Task 2 on page 48-49.

compound words.
2. Lesson Proper
Define an acronym as a word formed from the initial letters of a phrase or title, where each letter
represents a word and discuss common conventions for acronyms, such as capitalization and
pronunciation. Define a compound word as a word made up of two or more smaller words that
combine to form a new meaning and discuss how compound words can be written in different forms
and the context in which each form is used.

Have a student to ask their insight about the topic discussed. Explain how understanding
punctuation is crucial for clear communication and will help improve writing clarity.
4. Evaluation
Activity: Put the correct punctuation in the sentences.

of their works and briefly summarize their themes and styles.

critical thinking and provide feedback and clarify any remaining questions.

Explore multimedia resources such as interviews, documentaries, or audio
recordings related to the authors and their works with that, challenge students to
write a short essay comparing the works of two different national artists.
