MAINTENANCE-III DEPARTMENT

SUPPLY OF SERVICE, MANPOWER, TOOLS AND


MATERIALS

NRL intends to hire the services of contractors for supply of manpower, tools and
materials to carry out the job as per following scope.

Methods of Competitive Bidding


1. Bidding process comprising of “Single Stage One Envelop” procedure.

2. The envelopes shall be marked as “SUPPLY OF MANPOWER, TOOLS


AND MATERIALS FOR 7.2 MW CHINESE STEAM TURBINE
GENERATOR” in bold and legible letters.

3. The bidder must submit technical proposal which comprises following


transmittals:
.
- List of manpower to be deployed for the stated job along with their
qualification / experiences; along with provision of documents such as
experience letters, qualification certificates, distinction if any).
- List of tools and consumables.
- Reference relevant project list.

NOTE: Preference will be given to those who have relevant experience with steam
turbine installation and major overhauling of Steam turbine.

4. The main criteria for the selection of Technical proposal are the bidders past
experience and technical qualification on similar job (Dismantling, installation,
maintenance and overhauling of steam turbines and generators).

5. Selection of manpower will be based on the interviews conducted by NRL


persons to evaluate their competencies.

6. After technical evaluation bidders will be selected as per NRL SOP.

7. NRL has right for the acceptance and rejection of any proposal / bidder without
any justification.

INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS

1. Bidders are advised to make themselves fully conversant with the requirements
of the contract before submitting their quotations.

2. The rates quoted by contractor shall remain fixed for the duration of contract.

3. Tender documents duly signed by bidder competent authority on each page and
should be sealed in an envelope marked clearly “Supply of Manpower, Tools
and Materials for 7.2 MW Chinese steam turbine generator” addressed to
Manager Contracts and dropped at Manager Contract office at ground floor in
National Refinery Limited, Korangi, Karachi. All bids will be submitted and
accepted latest by November 22, 2023 and will be opened on the same day at
1500 hrs. The contractors will bring original CNIC at the time of visit to NRL.

4. The contractors are advised to visit NRL for a pre-bid meeting and site visit on
November 15, 2023 at 1000 hrs. The contractor’s personnel willing to take part
in pre bid visit must send their names along with NIC # one day before visit.
The same will bring original CNIC on visiting day otherwise entry inside NRL
would not be possible.

5. Bids must be valid for acceptance up to 60 days from date of bid opening.

6. The bidder shall submit earnest money in shape of pay order for amount not less
than 2% of the bid value. Earnest money pay order should be kept in the same
bid envelope. Bids submission without earnest money will not be acceptable.

7. The earnest money of unsuccessful bidder will be returned after 30 days from
the award of job to the successful bidder, whereas the earnest money will be
returned to successful bidder within 7 days upon submission of Security deposit
to NRL.

8. Successful bidder shall have to arrange a bank guarantee of scheduled Bank, for
an amount equal to 10% of the contract value as Security deposit within 10
working days from the date of service PO issuance. A draft PO will be shared
one day before the final PO issuance, if contractor has any obligation, he will
communicate in one day of draft PO issuance.

9. Security money shall be released after 90 days on successful completion work


against contract agreement.

10. In case contractor fails to perform as per agreement, security money shall be
forfeited.

11. Contractor shall under no circumstances sublet this contract or any part thereof
to anybody in any form or in any manner whatsoever without NRL approval.

12. The contractor shall furnish a list of his employees, employed by him for
execution of jobs under this contract. If required, Contractor will provide the
police verification for the character of employees at his own cost and
arrangement.

13. All manpower skilled / semi-skilled / un-skilled, necessary for the successful
completion of the job shall be supplied by the contractor.

14. All tools and material for successful completion of stated job shall be arranged
by contractor.

15. Contractor & employees of the contractor will have to abide by all rules,
regulations and procedures of NRL and as amended from time to time.
Contractor & Contractor’s employees will have to abide by all government laws
while working in Refinery.

16. The contractor and his employees will have to wear safety gadgets while
working inside refinery & follow safety & security rules, regulations, practices
& procedures of NRL. The necessary Personal Protective Equipment are Safety
Helmet, Coverall, Hand Gloves, Safety shoes, Safety Goggles, safety Gloves for
electrical works, Ear muffs and Ear plugs etc. These PPEs will be provided by
contractor itself.

17. The contractor shall be solely responsible for any accident sustained by any of
his employees whether it be work injury or otherwise and shall be liable for
payment of all compensation under the laws of government act.

18. The contractor will abide by all the laws applicable to his establishment and his
employees in respect of maintaining the register cards, time sheets, attendance
sheet, progress report and other records of service etc.

19. Contractor shall maintain work site clear, tidy and free from all tripping hazards
and shall keep his material and equipment properly so as those do not interfere
and cause in convenience to the locality, works or persons near the work site as
per instructions of job coordinator.

20. Contractor shall submit the relevant invoice supported by signed time sheets and
job completion certificates duly verified by concerned NRL officers, after
completion of job. However payment will be made on actual work completed
after deduction of prevailing taxes as per Government of Pakistan / Government
of Sindh whichever is applicable.

21. NRL reserves the right to withdraw any part of the work without any
explanation / obligations monetary or otherwise. All issues, dispute on
difference of whatever nature which may arise in performance of contractor’s
obligations under this contract shall be decided by NRL and decision of NRL
will be final.

22. In case of any injury or accident of a contractor’s employee NRL may provide
“First Aid” treatment only in case of industrial accidents individually or
collectively in the dispensary, provided such services are available in the NRL at
that time.

23. Contractor shall have to shift all the scrap material from work site to scrap yard /
collection yard by his own arrangement shall be responsible to clean and dress-up
the entire area after completion of the job and as advised by the job coordinator which
will be finalized by awarding Area Dress-up certificate. No extra payment will be done
in this regard.

24. The contractor will be responsible to abide by the Rules and regulations such as labor
laws compensation act, factory law group insurance EOBI & SESSI and other rules and
regulations enforced by the Central /Provincial Government in their true form as
applicable to the works of the contractor and his employees / labor.

25. An amount equivalent to 4% of each invoice will be deducted to set off against the
mandatory payment of contribution for EOBI, SESSI & Education CESS etc. The
deducted amount will be released after submission of clearance certificate by the
contractor from concerned institutions after completion of job.

26. Any kind of pneumatic / power fastening tool will be arranged by contractor, if there is
any.

Steam Turbine Job Scope
1. SCOPE OF WORK

NRL intends to hire the services of a contractor for supply of qualified/ experienced
manpower having work experience with overhauling and maintenance of steam
turbine power plants, required tools and special materials / consumables for the scope
mentioned below. Any job can be added or modified as per site requirement.

1. Decommissioning and Blinding of all associated lines of steam turbine.


2. Removal of complete insulation from steam turbine, HP and LP valve.
3. Dismantling of steam turbine casing for removal of steam turbine rotor. Rotor
will be placed on a rotor stand, which will be provided by NRL. Lifting tool
for steam turbine will be arranged by contractor.
4. Dynamic Balancing of Turbine rotor to be carried out if required. Contractor
will be sole responsible for dynamic balancing job which includes,
arrangement of dynamic balancing vendor and shifting of turbine rotor from
NRL to vendor facility and vice versa.
5. Non destructive testing (DPT, MPI and Eddy current testing) for defects and
flaws detection of all important mechanical parts of steam turbine which
includes but not limited to Main shaft of turbine, Rotor, HP and LP turbine
blades, nozzles, balance discs, shaft seal sleeve, bearing journals, diaphragm,
casing coupling and thrust discs etc.
6. Vibration analysis of steam turbine to be carried out. Contractor will share
complete details and finding of this job.
7. Inspection of casing, nozzles for any crack detection will be carried out and
leakages will be identified. Remedial action will be taken if any fault arises.
8. Cleaning and inspection of diaphragm housing ring, stationary blades, slide
pin, steam chamber, HP and LP shaft seal, diaphragm gland seal, gland seal
ring and spring. Replacement will be carried out if required.
9. Looseness and abrasion will be checked on the shaft seal and associated
assembly of the rotor. Displacement of the thrust disc, ovality of shaft neck
and bending condition of rotor will be checked and rectified.
10. Alignment of the coupling and rotor in casing.
11. All Bearings inspection and replacement if required. Bearing housings will be
cleaned.
12. Measuring of clearances of main lube oil pump and seal ring.
13. Turning Gear overhauling.
14. Checking and overhauling of governing and protection system.
15. Replacement of oil filters elements.
16. Main valve inspection and replacement of seals if required.
17. Inspection of control valves (HP and LP valve), overhauling and Liner
adjustment will be carried out
18. Cleaning and inspection of alternator rotor. Rotor will be removed. Contractor
will be responsible for arranging the rotor removal tool for this job.
19. Inspection of Permeant Magnetic Generator including insulation paint, testing
of megger, hipot of windings. . Remedial action will be taken if any fault
arises.
20. All Electrical & mechanical protection & trippings to be checked i.e trip block,sensors &
turbine overspeed protection Remedial action will be taken if any fault arises.

21. Cleaning of rotor,stator of HP & LP turbine blades,nozzles etc & Generator
rotor through dry ice/Aluminium oxide blasting. Contractor will be
responsible for arranging all equipment and material for the required job.
Execution will also be done by contractor.
22. Inspection and checking of control system i.e AVR, synchronization,
protection system and communication system of turbine and Remedial action
will be taken if any fault arises.

Note: All jobs will be done under supervision of Chinese Technical Staff except Point # 4
and 6. Contractor will be sole responsible for job # 4 & 6.

2. MAN POWER REQUIREMENT:

1. Essential Manpower:

For the execution of jobs mentioned in above scope of work, manpower are required
but not limited to the following extent. Actual quantity of manpower will be
determined as per job requirement and may be asked to increase or decrease at any
point of time during the execution.

2.1.1 Site coordinator responsibility:

5. Site coordinator must possess the degree of bachelor’s in any field and have an
experience to manage likely jobs in a power plant or oil and gas industry.

6. Site Coordinator shall always be present at site during work execution.

7. Proper site preparation shall be made for acquiring work permits before starting
any work.

8. Site Coordinator shall also act as a safety supervisor. He must possess the
knowledge to recognize the possible hazards and to minimize it as much as
possible; for safe execution of work and to preserve his employee’s health and
environment.

9. Daily attendance of workers and time sheets provision at the end of the day duly
signed by the NRL advisor is also his responsibility.

10. Can speak / read and write in English language.

11. Entry and exit of contractor employees in case of new entry (after first entry
provided by NRL). Renewal of gate passes also fall under his responsibility.

12. Provision and assurance of contractor’s employees that they are wearing PPE’s
during the entire period of working in plant area.

13. Maintain discipline and implementation of NRL rules and regulation among
workers during working hours inside NRL premises.

14. To resolve the disputes between contractors employees, if there is any.

1.2 Skilled Workers Responsibilities:

Following are the attributes that must be required in Mechanical and Electrical
Personnel.

6. Must have relevant work experience of at least 05 - 08 years in Steam turbine
installation / dismantling and overhauling / maintenance.

7. Must possess DAE in Mechanical / Electrical.

8. Can read mechanical (General arrangement drawings, Layouts, Piping diagrams,


isometrics etc.) and electrical drawings (Single line diagrams, Loop sheets,
control schematics, connection details etc.)

9. Electrical skilled worker must have comprehensive knowledge of MV and LV


Electrical system.

10. Perform safe work and recognize dangers due to their work experience,
knowledge and technical education.

11. The workers must be highly efficient and competent, can perform a task in
minimum possible time.

12. Can speak and understand English language.

2.1.3 Helpers Responsibilities:

Helpers shall possess basic knowledge and understanding of job and work experience
of 03 years in relevant field.

NOTE:

Selection of above mentioned workers will be based on the interviews conducted by


NRL persons to evaluate their competencies.

INSTRUCTION TO CONTRACTOR FOR MANPOWER:

Contractor is advised to submit the documents related to qualification, past working


experience of all the coordinators, supervisors and subordinators before bidding. Any
worker or labor may not allowed to work in case of complain or any issue reported by
the Foreign CHINESE Engineers / Supervisors / NRL designated Engineers. In this
case, the contractor will immediately replace that worker with another having same
attributes. Contractor will be responsible for delay due to this situation and NRL will
not pay / deduct the equivalent per day payment of missing employees from the
contractor’s end.

Contractor will be liable for indirect, direct incidental or consequential damages
including, but not limited to, loss of profit, loss of use.

Contractor is bound to abide by the timings as per Job coordinator.

3. TOOLS AND CONSUMABLES:

Apart from the above mentioned workman ship contractor is also responsible to carry
mentioned tools and consumables as per following conditions and instructions:

3.1 Provision of hammer drill quoting the price on daily basis possess bit sizes
ranging from ᴓ 5mm to 20mm for drilling into concrete.

3.2 Engineers wrench set with width across flats ranging from AF > 36 and up to AF
75.

3.3 Pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical torque wrench or hand torque multiplier adjust to
800 Nm(for fixation of the base frame on the foundation) and 5700 Nm(fixation
of the coupling with the generator shaft) inclusive the suitable nuts or hexagon
socket wrench.

3.5 Standard Tool Kit:
In spite provision of the above mentioned tools against tool list, contractor is also responsible for
the provision of standard tool kit along with their workers comprises of following but not limited
to:

Baby grinder, Hammer, chisel, pliers, wrench pliers, adjustable wrenches, pipe wrenches,
spanners, hack saws, file, cable cutters, testers, scrappers, brush, screw driver set, socket
wrench set with adapters (goti pana set), Allen keys, wire brush, vernier caliper, screw
gage, dial indicator, feeler gage , measuring tape, millimeter etc.

3.6 Consumables:

Contractor also responsible for provision but not limited to the following consumables:

Grinder discs, drill bits, Welding rods, Polishing and lapping papers, rustolene ( e.g. WD-
40), cleaning solvents, cotton rags, high temperature grease, lint free rags, anti-seize
compounds, paint removers, dowels, grouting, shims, gaskets, sealing paste, Electrical
tape, cable ties of variable sizes, wire stripper, blades, etc.

Note: All quoted items in 3.1 – 3.4 must have valid calibration certificate, certified by
competent third party calibration or inspection agency.

All calibration certificates will be present in original after job award but before team
mobilization at site.

PROJECTS DEPARTMENT

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS


1. GENERAL CLAUSES

Contractor is advised to visit the site before bidding to assess the quantum of
job. Any clarification in job should be sorted out with concerned department
before bidding. Any issues / delays regarding job stated above, site conditions
and documents after the award of contract will be considered as a delay on
behalf of contractor.

The contractor will inform the job coordinator / person responsible of NRL to
submit the manpower list along with a list of tools, equipment, materials,
consumables and all necessary resources at least three days before that are
needed for proper execution of job and to enter inside the NRL premises.
Tools will be checked as per submitted list at the time of mobilization.

Any hot work such as welding, cutting and grinding etc. shall not be allowed
without issuance of Hot Work Permit by the Area In-charge. So contactor’s
site coordinator will be responsible for making assurance of such work
execution with having a relevant permit.

Contractor to bring 6 Nos. valid Fire Extinguishers. Expired fire extinguishers


will not be accepted due to which hot work permit will not be issued.
Contractor will be responsible for this delay at his own cost.

Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)


cylinders are not allowed in NRL premises. Any vehicle fitted with LPG
CNG cylinders (whether used or not) are also not allowed. All vehicles must
be equipped with flame arrestor at exhaust.

Crane operation / lifting operation by fork lifter will be followed by fulfilling


following requirements:

Crane / lifter must be certified by a third party inspection firm. Provision of inspection
certificate before crane operation.
Flame arrestor must be installed at the crane exhaust.
Crane must be equipped with load hook safety latch.
Sling wires must be in excellent condition (not broken or twisted) and certified by any
third party inspection firm. Provision of inspection certificates before
crane operation is necessary.
Crane operator must be a certified crane operator and shall possess crane operation
license.
Provision of Rigging Plan before crane operation.
Crane operation permit will only be issued after fulfilling all the above requirements.

Contractor for itself and for its sub-contractors shall obtain insurance covering
all damages or compensation payable in respect of, or in consequence of any
accident or injury resulting to any workmen, or any other person, in the
employment of the Contractor or any of its sub-contractors with an insurer
approved by NRL.

Premium for above insurance policy will be borne by the Contractor.

Welding plant which will be brought by vendor should be in perfect condition.


The leads must not be broken or twisted. Flame arrestors must be installed at
the gas cylinders and at the welding guns. It is the responsibility of site
coordinator to cordon off the welding area before welding. Without fulfilling
these requirements permit will not be issued and contractor will be responsible
for this delay.

The contractor shall be solely responsible for any accident sustained by any of
its employees whether it would be work injury or otherwise and shall be liable
for payment of all compensation under the laws of Government Act.

The contractor shall supply safety equipment as described by NRL to his labor
force at his own cost. NRL can stop or interrupt the work with no
compensation to the contractor in case it is felt that procedures and wearing
safety equipments are not as prescribed by NRL.

The rate of contractor’s quoted / supplied material and services should be


exclusive of all taxes.

Tax invoices with current rates as per SRB and FBR has to be submitted along
with invoices for billing and will be paid separately.

2. PAYMENT TERMS:

The payment to the contractor will be made in Pakistani Rupees by cheque, as


per following:
i. 1st Bill, 10 % advance payment against advanced bank guarantee
of PO amount after mobilization.
ii. The balance of the total estimated price (as stated in commercial
proposal) will be paid on monthly basis based on signed timesheets
within 20 working days upon submission of invoice by contractor.

Final settlement of the actual amount payable to the contractor will be made in the final bill after
completion of the entire work. The bill would be for the entire material and services provided by
the contractor and amount already paid will be deducted.
1. 10% of the bill amount will be deducted from each running & final bills as
retention money, which will be released after 60 days from issuance of Job
Completion Certificate issued by NRL upon completion of entire work stated
in BOQ as well as area dress-up.

3. WARRANTY

The contractor warrants that the work carried out under the Contract shall have
no defects arising from materials or workmanship that may develop under
normal use. This warranty shall remain valid for 90 days after the work
completion. The NRL shall promptly notify the Contractor in writing of any
claims arising under this warranty.
Upon receipt of such notice, the Contractor shall repair or replace the defective
work or parts thereof, without any extra cost to NRL.

If the Contractor, having been notified, fails to arrange remedy of the defect(s)
within a reasonable period, NRL shall get the defects rectified through other
sources at the risk and cost of the contractor.
4. WORK SCHEDULE

The job initiation date will be served as the day of site handover certificate.
The total time allowed for completion of each activity of the entire job will be
communicated to the contractor before starting of each activity; from the day
of handing over of site with issuance of 1st work permit for each activity.

The contractor is bound to completely mobilize with 03 days without any


delay after being intimated by job coordinator / projects team. Mobilization
period will not be count in work completion period.

After team mobilization, the contractor will prepare a work schedule;


covering individual details of the work, preparing a list of all manpower to be
deployed, providing the list of tools / materials / consumables (along with
calibration certificates where required).

The contractor shall adhere to the work schedule mutually agreed and shall
maintain the progress outlined for each detail of work on daily / weekly /
fortnightly basis.

The contractor shall maintain record of all his work-performed inside /


outside regarding the contracted job and submit each record on daily, and
report on weekly basis as required by Job coordinator.

The entire work shall be carried out and completed within the period
mentioned on cover page of the Bid Document.

5. PRICE ESCALATION

It should be clearly understood by the contractor that no claim or demand for


increase of rates already quoted shall be entertained on the ground of market
fluctuation or for any other reason during the currency of this contract.

6. COMPLIANCE WITH SAFETY / SECURITY RULES/ REGULATIONS

The contractor shall comply with all laws, rules, notifications and standing
instructions issued by the NRL Safety / Operations / Project departments and
shall make all safety measures and appropriate arrangements for safety of man
and materials in carrying out the work.

The contractor should provide safety shoes, safety helmets, coveralls,


industrial hand gloves, ear muffs / plugs, electrical hand gloves, safety belts,
safety harness, safety goggles, grinding glasses welding cap / screens and
other personnel protective equipment like dust masks etc. to their work force
while working at the Refinery.

It is the responsibility of contractor’s site coordinator to ensure the provision


and compliance of all PPEs. No worker at site is allowed to work with loose
clothing (Kurta Shalwar etc.) and without appropriate PPEs.

NRL job coordinator has the right to stop the job at any time if contractor’s
worker would not comply with the safety rules. The cost resulting from such
delays will be borne by contractor.

The contractor while bringing their equipment / machines, vehicle for any job/
purpose should ensure that these are fit to use and free from any leakage,
contractor’s vehicles moving inside refinery should have proper spark / flame-
arrestors at the exhaust silencer and have an appropriate vehicle fitness
certificate.

7. RESPONSIBILITIES OF CONTRACTOR

a) Contractor shall arrange all kinds of manpower, tools, equipments, goods,


machinery, crane, trailer, lifter, truck and safety gadgets for the successful and
safe execution of the contract.

b) Contractor shall arrange security clearance from NRL Security for 15 days.
After 15 days, security clearance will have to be renewed as per NRL policy.

Contractor
shall arrange the food, transportation and accommodation of their employees / workers and bear
all their expenses on his own account.

1 The contractor must depute one competent person having expertise or sufficient
experience of similar works to promptly set up the work and execute any
instruction given, or remove and rectify any defect pointed out by Job
coordinator and avoid any unwanted delay in progress. The person will also
responsible to deal with the requirements of work permits / gate passes and
necessary approvals etc, from the concerned departments.

2 NRL must be entitled to reject Contractor provided personnel for reasons such
as Lack of qualification, Lack of performance, unfit workers, Low working
morale workers etc.

3 Contractor will take all safety measures while executing work. In case of any
damage to the any property, it will be rectified at his entire risk and cost.

4 The Contractor shall be responsible for making approach to the site of work as
required for delivery of all kinds of material, etc. No extra payment shall be
payable on this account whether seen or unforeseen.

5 Work force to be employed at job site shall be in possession of Valid Original


CNICs and valid driving license for drivers, etc.

6 Contractor is also required to obtain prior approvals at least one day before for
all materials and accessories to be supplied and other related work activities
from the Job Coordinator.

7 The contractor shall be responsible for the disposal of all types of construction
material and debris etc., as per instructions of job coordinator. The disposal site
/ scrap yard will be communicated by NRL to the contractor. The contractor
shall make and maintain the total work area clean and tidy, keep it clear of all
tripping, fire and other hazards at all times and further agrees to abide and
execute all instructions / directions, in this regard, given to him by NRL
without an extra cost to NRL.

8 The contractor will arrange at his own cost the supply and safe custody of all

safely and satisfactorily. All such equipment arranged and or used by the
contractor shall be subject to NRL In-charge approval, NRL shall not be
responsible in any way for the break down or loss of such equipments in use by
the contractor’s men. No cost what so ever will be paid by NRL for such tools,
jigs, etc. The contractor is required to bring a secured tool box for all of its
tools / materials / consumables. NRL is

not responsible if any of the contractor’s tools and materials is missing or lost.
Also the accommodation of the manpower to be taken care by the contractor.
May use container and take prior approvals for number and placements of
containers.

2. The contractor shall be responsible to make good of any damage done to the
NRL property such as buildings, equipments, fixtures and fittings, by his
employees during the contract period and the contractors hereby agrees to
repair / replace the damage to caused and restore conditions to normal to the
entire satisfaction of NRL at his own cost within a period stipulated by NRL,
failing to which NRL may get such damages repaired or replaced through any
other source and debit the charges or cost so incurred from the contractor or his
security amount of bills, bank guarantee etc. which may be outstanding with
NRL.
b) By this clause the contractor guarantees that his work will be defect free and
remain at least for a period of 90 days after the same has been handed over to
NRL. If any defect arises or is detected in this period, the contractor will rectify
the same immediately through repair or replacement as felt necessary by NRL,
entirely at contractor’s own cost, failing which NRL will have the right to get
the defect rectified from any other party and forfeit the contractor’s retention
money available with
NRL.

c) Contractor shall have to shift all the scrap material from work site to NRL -
Korangi scarp yard (communicated by NRL person) by his own arrangement.
He shall be responsible to clean and dress up the entire area after completion of
the job. No extra payment will be done in this regard.

d) NRL shall provide one number electrical connection for lighting purpose only.
All further D.B (distribution board), cabling, lighting, receptacles and
appliances beyond the connection would be arranged and supplied by the
contractor at his own cost. However, the lighting, cabling and electrical
arrangement is to be made as per NRL safety rules and with prior approval of
Safety department.

e) NRL will provide electrical connection for welding.

f) All consumable materials stated above will be supplied by the contractor at his
own cost.

g) The contractor shall be responsible for making adequate arrangements against


natural climates and will perform the work safely so as to ensure no damage
what so ever occur during execution.

h) All machines, lifting equipment, tools and accessories etc. used during
dismantling, installation and erection activities should be offered for inspection
before starting the Job.

Contractor
should provide list of the equipment / tools will get clearance from Inspection and Maintenance
departments before execution / starting of job. Gate passes to be arranged for entering and
exiting of all tools and components.

Contractor shall submit weekly reports of all the work performed.

NDT examination along with material will be performed by the contractor.

8. QUALITY & STANDARDS

a) NRL shall have the right to inspect the work during its execution and
completion of each phase of work at site. However, any such inspection will
not relieve the contractor from his obligations as to the final completion of the
job.

b) The authenticity of any work performed by the contractor will be established


when it has been witnessed, accepted and certified by NRL.

c) The final inspection / acceptance of all the work will be carried out by NRL at
site. The rectified uncompleted / defected job of any nature noted and pointed
out to the contractor shall be executed promptly. In case the contractor fails to
do the same, NRL may get the same done at the risk and cost of the contractor
and recover the cost from contractor’s dues and account.

d) Job will be strictly completed in compliance with the safety and security rules
of NRL.

i) For carrying out relevant jobs the contractor will provide all the above

j) The contractor shall be obliged to fulfill all contractors’ obligations as stated in
