D. Rationale of the Program/Activity


There is clear evidence that quality education works, resulting in substantial
efficiency savings to the education system and leading to better learning
competencies and proficiency through a well-equipped and prepared teacher. For
this reason and under DO 34, s. 2022 the School Division Office of Sarangani will
be conducting a Mid-year Program Review and Evaluation (MPRE) which educates
and empower the teachers in the spirit of constructive training/seminars that
provide opportunities for directing and harnessing their principles and idealism
into worthwhile activities.
Training/seminars are very significant as it imparts information or
instructions to improve the recipient’s performance or to help him or her attain a
required level of knowledge or skills. Training/seminar is very significant. It is one
of the methods of maintaining and improving the knowledge and skills of teachers
and being more effective in the teaching field. These are the reasons why the
KITYAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL materialized and realized the significance of this
activity.

E. Objectives of the Activity


Terminal Objective:

• To educate and embolden teachers in the spirit of productive


training/seminars that provide opportunities for directing and harnessing their
principles and idealism into worthwhile activities.

Enabling Objectives:

The activity aims to:

(a) Design and develop tracking and assessment tools of literacy and numeracy.
(b) Evaluate individual IPCRF
(c) Check school forms

(d) Identify Least Learned and mastered competencies in all Subjects per grade
level
(e) Submit proficiency level in all subjects per grade level
(f) Understand positive discipline and make innovation in classroom management
for a 21st century classroom.

F. Expected Outcome and Results


SLAC Session 1 (Reading Assessment):
Teachers were able to know how to properly assess their learners particularly
in reading. Craft school-based weekly monitoring tool to track the progress the
reading ability of the learners.

SLAC Session 2 (Differentiated Instruction):


Teachers were able to learn more about the differentiated activities they
should have in their respective class to cater the needs of the learners based on
their level and capability. It will help in developing the different skills of the
learners inside/outside the classroom setting.

SLAC Session 3 (Team Building for Teachers):


In this session, teachers will know the importance of team building and its
benefits for the teachers. Different activities were discussed to strengthen
collaboration among the teachers to achieve the common goal.
