Font Size: Report body 12 and Headings 16 to 14

Paragraph Spacing: 6pt before, 6pt after

Line Spacing: 1.5 Lines

Cover Page: should include; Qualification Name, Unit Number and Tittle, Submitted by,
Registration Number, Assignment No and Title, Instructor’s Name, Date of submission
and Centre Number.

Referencing: Your research should be referenced using the Harvard referencing system. Don’t
use any unacknowledged sources as a reference. Inaccurate use of referencing may lead
to issues of plagiarism if not applied correctly.

DELIVERABLES

Presentation: Ten minute presentation consist of 10 –15 slides and five minutes for questions.

Written Report: Submit in the form of a factsheets and an organisation chart. The factsheets
should be written in a brief style to summarise and highlight key information. The
recommended word limit for the factsheets is 1,500–2,000 words, although you will not be
penalised for going under or exceeding the limit.

You are working as an Assistant Business Analyst for Punjab Cash & Carry, Islamabad,
and are responsible for investigating its competitor businesses. You are required to analyze and
compare the size, legal structure, scope, stakeholders, and business-enhancing strategies of
three different organizations:

 One with a similar business profile (e.g., Madina Cash & Carry, Islamabad Cash &
Carry).

 One with a larger business profile (e.g., Metro Cash & Carry, Giga Mall).

 One with a smaller business profile (e.g., a local store or shop).

Your goal is to highlight the differences between these organizations by examining the various
functions within each and creating an organizational chart that explores the interrelationships
between these functions.

Tasks:

 Comparison of Organizational Functions: Compare the differences in organizational


functions and the interrelationships between these functions.

 Portfolio Presentation: Present your findings as a portfolio of factsheets with an


organizational chart, including the following sections:

1. Introduction: Provide an overview of different types of organizations and discuss the


growth of the business environment.

2. Organizational Descriptions: For each of the three chosen organizations, include:

o Background details (e.g., history, ownership).

o Products or services they supply.

o Size and scope of the business.

o Their vision, mission, and business objectives.

o Legal structure.

o Stakeholders and their roles within the organization.

3. Detailed Analysis of Punjab Cash with Competitors:

o Examine its various business functions.

o Use an organizational chart to illustrate how these functions are interrelated.

o Analyze the advantages and disadvantages of these relationships and how they
impact the organizational structure.
