General Rules:
1. Participants must be college students with a valid college ID and should
be more than 16 years of age.
2. Participants must report to the event 30 minutes prior to scheduled start
time.
3. Judgment will be done based on vocal ability, stage presence, sur and
rhythm.
4. Judges’ decision will be final.
5. An attempt to influence judges unfairly will lead to disqualification.
6. Feel free to engage with the audience, but please be aware that
organizers cannot be held responsible for any interruptions during the
performance.
7. Lyrics must be appropriate and non-offensive.
8. Participants should dress modestly.
9. Violation of any rule will result in disqualification.
SIDE A: SOLO
1.Participants are free to select songs from English, Hindi, or Marathi languages, spanning across
various genres.
2.There will be three rounds in this category.
3.1st round:
Participants have the option to include one live instrument (one accompanying member allowed) OR
can choose to sing along with tanpura.
This round has a time limit of 90 seconds. Participants exceeding this limit will incur a deduction of points.
In this round, there are no restrictions on the era from which participants can choose their songs.
4.2nd round:
Participants have the option to include one live instrument (one accompanying member allowed) OR
can choose to sing along with tanpura.
This round has a time limit of 2 minutes 30 seconds. Participants exceeding this limit will incur a deduction
of points.
In this round, participants must choose their songs from the decade, 2000-2010 only.
5.3rd round:
Participants can opt for one live instrument (with one accompanying member allowed) or choose to
sing along with tanpura. Additionally, in this round, the use of backing tracks (karaoke) is permitted for
their performance.
This round has a time limit of 4 minutes. Participants exceeding this limit will incur a deduction of points.
In this round, participants must choose their songs from the decade, 2010-2020 only.
6.All the 3 rounds will be conducted on the same day.
7.All the participants should be ready with their backing tracks for the 3rd round if they are using any.
SIDE B: BAND
1. Bands are free to select songs from English, Hindi, or
Marathi languages, spanning across various genres.
2. There is only one round in this category and teams are allowed
to select songs from any era for their performances.
3. The band is required to have a minimum of 4 members and can have
a maximum of 7 members for participation in the event.
4. The bands have a total of 12 minutes for their performance, including
the time for performing and set-up time. Bands exceeding this limit
will incur a deduction of points.
5. Organisers will provide the bands with drum set and a base guitar
if needed, any other instruments other than the ones mentioned
above should be made available by the bands themselves.
