● Helps students distinguish the irregular plurals, action words and understand how to use them properly.

Structure / Activity

● Greetings.
● Warm up: Play the game! Draw the monkey.
● In Reading and Writing Part 3, students should cross off the letters as they use them to form
each word. This will help them to spell the word correctly.
● In Listening Part 3, students need to look carefully at the three pictures and to notice the
differences between them.
● Learners are going to listen to an audio track 10. (Practice exercises from the Student’s Book)

Lesson Focus:
● Discover and strengthen the connections between sounds (phonemes) and the letter or groups of
letters (graphemes) that represent those sounds.
● Introducing students to the concept of short vowels and blending letters together to create
words.
● This short vowel sound will help the students practice identifying pictures, reading and learning
words with the initial and medial short /i/ sounds. It’s easier for the students learning phonics to
isolate the initial and medial sound in a word.

Structure / Activity

● Greetings.
● Warm up: Play Teacher’s Mistake
● Review the key words from Unit 3.
● Show the cards and say each card’s word.
● Play CD1 Tracks 49-52/53-56/57-60.
● Have students point as they repeat the words.
● Have to repeat the words, repeat as time permits and students chant along.
● Paired reading. Have student pairs take turns reading key words.
● Have students complete the exercises (classwork+homework+weekly quiz).
● After students have completed exercises, check their answers.
