To Pray For
Your Wife
 Give her a growing love of You.
God I pray that you would help ____________ to grow in her love of You. Allow her
to fall more in love with you each day. Help her to love You above all things, includ-
ing me. Soften her heart for Your ways and your holiness. Give her a hatred of sin
and a love of holiness.

We love because he first loved us.

Help her to grow in her

knowledge of You and
Your Word.
Father I pray that ____________ would increase her knowledge of You and Your
Word. Give her understanding of your scriptures and help her to have a growing
and deepening personal relationship with you.

For the word of God is living and effective and sharper than any double-edged sword,
penetrating as far as the separation of soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It is able to judge
the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
- Hebrews 4:12

Establish her identity in You and

You alone.
Lord I pray that ____________ would know and believe that she is Your daughter
and that she is defined by You alone. Speak Your promises to her heart and let her
know she is beloved. Let her identity be established and rooted in You and
You alone.

I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now
live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

who You created her to be and
give her joy in her calling.
God I pray that You would give ____________ the courage and strength to be
who You created her to be. Help her to be self aware and give her under-
standing of her specific callings. Give her the boldness to walk in all her
callings and give her joy and gratitude as she lives them out.

This is according to his eternal purpose accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord. In
him we have boldness and confident access through faith in him.

Allow her to be quick to

forgive.
Jesus help ____________ to be aware of how much you have forgiven her.
Help her to see and appreciate Your sacrifice. Make her aware of her need of
You and help her to forgive quickly and freely. Help her to forgive me, others,
and herself freely because of what You did on the cross.

For while we were still helpless, at the right time, Christ died for the ungodly. For
rarely will someone die for a just person—though for a good person perhaps
someone might even dare to die. But God proves his own love for us in that while
we were still sinners, Christ died for us. How much more then, since we have now
been declared righteous by his blood, will we be saved through him from wrath. For
if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his
Son, then how much more, having been reconciled, will we be saved by his life.
And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
through whom we have now received this reconciliation.

her heart.

Pray for her role as a mother.

God I pray that You would give ____________ the courage and strength to be
who You created her to be. Help her to be self aware and give her under-

Your eyes.
God help ____________ to see how beautiful and precious she is. Protect her
from culture’s lies of attraction. Help her to see how attractive she is inside and
out. Allow her to feel cherished and valued. Help me to do my part in making her
know how beautiful she is.

The Lord appeared to him from far away. I have loved you with an everlasting love;
therefore, I have continued to extend faithful love to you.

Pray for her role in your church.

God I pray that you would use ____________ in Your Church. Give her clarity in
her role in Your Kingdom and specifically in our local church. Help her gifts to be
used and valued by the people around her. Help me to validate and support her
gifts, callings, and role. Commission her to specific tasks large and small and
give her the courage and wisdom to execute them. Lord give her the good and
encouraging blessing of seeing the fruit of her work in your church. Point her to
the fruit both present and past and give her a glimpse of the future fruit to come.

But go to my brothers and tell them that I am ascending to my Father and your Father,
to my God and your God.

Multiply her grace for herself

and others.
Lord I pray that you would help ____________ to live a life full of grace. Help her
to have grace with herself and others. May Your abundant grace flow out of her.
Protect her from grudges, holding onto anger, entitlement, selfishness, and
pride. Fill her with Your love.

The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. We observed his glory, the glory as the
one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

 Protect her from the enemy
and his lies.
God protect ____________ from the devil and his lies. Give her the wisdom to
see Satan on the prowl and to call him out on his games. Protect her mind
and her thoughts. Don’t allow her to fall for his schemes. Give her Your full
armor as she fights spiritual battles. Help her to not stumble but rather to
fight boldly knowing her confidence is in You.

Finally, be strengthened by the Lord and by his vast strength. Put on the full armor
of God so that you can stand against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is
not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against
the cosmic powers of this darkness, against evil, spiritual forces in the heavens.
For this reason take up the full armor of God, so that you may be able to resist in
the evil day, and having prepared everything, to take your stand. Stand, therefore,
with truth like a belt around your waist, righteousness like armor on your chest, and
your feet sandaled with readiness for the gospel of peace. In every situation take
up the shield of faith with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil
one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit—which is the word of
God. Pray at all times in the Spirit with every prayer and request, and stay alert
with all perseverance and intercession for all the saints.

Pray for your sex life together.

Lord I pray for our sex life in marriage. Help me to serve ____________ well
and to give her the intimacy she craves. Help us to have eyes and passion
only for each other. Protect us from temptation. Keep our marriage bed
sacred, holy and full of delight. Allow us to enjoy great sex in marriage.
Encourage and renew our desire for intimacy with each other. Help us to
pursue kindness and affection. Allow our sex life to flourish.

Oh, that he would kiss me with the kisses of his mouth! For your caresses are

 Bless her with wise and
faithful friends.
God give ____________ wise and faithful friends. May she experience deep,
Christ-centered friendships. Protect her from foolish friends. I pray that she would have
meaningful friendships and be surrounded by women who lovingly point her to You.

The one who walks with the wise will become wise, but a companion of fools will suffer harm.

Sustain her health.

Lord protect ____________’s health and body. You hold all things and are
sovereign over all things so I ask you to sustain my wife’s health. Help her to make
wise choices when it comes to health and to treat her body like the gift that it is.

Dear friend, I pray that you are prospering in every way and are in good health, just as your
whole life is going well

Empower her to hear

Your voice.
Holy Spirit give ____________ the ability to discern and hear Your voice. Help her to
walk closely with You and to know Your voice with clarity and certainty. Speak to her
consistently and boldly. Help her to be obedient to what she hears. Lord help me to
listen to the wisdom from my wife as we partner in life together. Let her wisdom not fall
on deaf ears but rather allow me to submit where I need to submit.

My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, listening closely to
wisdom and directing your heart to understanding; furthermore, if you call out to insight and lift
your voice to understanding, if you seek it like silver and search for it like hidden treasure, then
you will understand the fear of the Lord and discover the knowledge of God.
