    Asking for things

    AIMS OF THE LESSON:


    assimilate new grammatical rules
    help students improve their grammar using different types of exercises
    improve pupils pronunciation and their ability of speaking in English
    freely

    PUPILS PROBLEMS:
    pupils may not be familiar with certain words

    STAGE ACTIVITIES TIMING


    Teacher salutes the pupils and asks them how
    1. LEAD - IN they are feeling. She checks the absents and 5min
    whether they had homework or not.

    Pupils are introduced to the topic of the new


    lesson. Teacher writes the title of the lesson
    2. COMPREHENSION
    on the blackboard and presents the main 5min
    TASK activities of the lesson, i.e. discussing some
    grammar issues.
    3. GRAMMAR
    a. Presentation The teacher explains what apostrophe s
    means and when we use it. Then, she also

    gives the pupils the form of the possessive
    pronouns from all the persons.

    She will have then, several pupils make some


    b. Practice sentences with this kind of phrases, all 10min
    expressing the possession.

    phrases used when we want to ask for things.
    c. Production Then, in pairs they are supposed to ask their 10min
    mates for several objects designated by the
    teacher.

    The pupils are asked to solve some exercises


    4. FEED - BACK relevant to the topic. In this way, the teacher 5min
    checks whether they have understood or not.
