FEBRUARY NEWSLETTER

Dear Parents,
Our Pioneer Day was wonderful! Thanks to all our
parent volunteers! We could not do all of these great events
without you!
Hundreds Day: We are excited about the hundredth
day of school! This day traditionally sets our study of place
value into full motion, (Ones, Tens, and Hundreds).
Integrated Studies: Here are the subjects we will
cover: Valentine's Day, friendships, President's, China and
Asia.
Here is the month's agenda:
Feb. 4th & 5th: Parent Teacher Conference(Parents Only) No
School

Feb.9th: 100's Day

Feb.12th: VALENTINE'S EXCHANGE 8:15 am

Card Exchange: Friday, Feb 12th:

If you are interested in sending something special for snack
please sign up at school on the list outside my room.
We will be sharing Valentine cards in the classroom so do not
put the valentines in each child's box. Keep them together in
bag. This is a process and takes some time. After the
exchange we will go to music, have snack, recess, and back
to the room for fun centers.

Please decorate a "Valentine Mailbox" at home

out of a shoe box and send to school by Feb
12th. Please cut an opening large enough for
the Valentines to go through and write the
students' name on the top of the box. Again,
do not put your child's valentines or deliver
them into each box. We do that in the
classroom.

SEE NEXT PAGE FOR LIST OF NAMES

Several of our students are limited on the intake of candy
and sugary treats they can eat and we have the peanut
allergy. Please keep this in mind when picking out
Valentines! The students love the valentine cards
themselves and do not feel slighted if it is not accompanied
by candy. No take home bags please.
