Hello everyone! With the change in the
weather Winter is most certainly here which
means lots of exciting events coming up at CLA.
First of all thank you to all the parents who
attended the general meeting and table top
sessions. I hope that helped explain the tuition
increases and we really appreciate all your ideas
and suggestions. Please don't forget your vote
is important. I am on vacation visiting my family
in Wales from the 3rd of December and will be
back on the 17th. If you have any questions
please refer to Miss Misti or Miss Shiri. I hope
everyone has a wonderful time at the Christmas
Pageant. The classes have been busy practicing
their songs and they sound fantastic. Don't
forget the auction baskets, there are some
fantastic items included and the class artwork is
lovely. Enjoy and I will see you all when I get
back.

Its beginning to look
and FEEL like Christmas.
What an exciting month
at school. The Christmas
pageant is on the Dec
13. I have seen and
heard some of the
children practicing and
talk about cute. Our
staff at CLA really does a
great job with the
pageant. I am looking
forward to seeing it. I
have also heard of some
of the fun holiday
activities that are being
planned
for
the
classrooms. With the
season of giving and joy,
its hard not to get
caught up in the
Christmas spirit around
the school. Thank you to
everyone who ordered
books from Scholastic
Books. I put the order in
and all books should be
here before Christmas
break. I wish everyone a
very Merry Christmas
and a Happy New Year.

Transition I
By Mrs. Jenny Sixto
For December, Trans 1 will be starting the 'Let's Pretend'
High reach Curriculum. Imagination is one of the most
special tools of a young child. In this topic, children will
go on a guided tour of their minds by pretending to be
their favorite animals, book characters and other things.
We'll use our voices, bodies and ideas to go on many
adventures without ever have to leave the comfort of our
own minds. We'll also have a chance to practice our
emotions to learn to handle feelings and social
situations. We will be learning all about Christmas and
making fun Christmas crafts. The class will be singing two
songs in the Christmas Pageant on the 13th. We will be
holding a decorating afternoon for the class and will be
making Christmas trees with frosting and candy! Trans 1
will also be having Polar Express themed Christmas Party,
date to be announced. Merry Christmas everyone from
Ms. Lindsey and I.
Preschool I
By Mrs. Krystalynne Nelson
Happy Holidays from Preschool 1! We have had an
amazing few months. As always we are constantly
learning and excelling. This month our main focus is
textures around the world. We are working on addition
adding 1 up to 9 and for reading we are making more
words out of the letter sounds we learn. Happy Birthday
to Jael (6th), Sarah (17th) and Nate (22nd)!
Merry Christmas!

Advisory Council
Dear families and staff,
To celebrate the season, Santa will be coming to visit on the 10th and 11th of December to every classroom.
But of course Santa needs his elves. If you would like to help out (and earn volunteer hours) please sign up
on our front board. You may also contribute by making cookies for your childs class. Check with your teacher
for your classroom needs.
Every class will also be participating in our schools most festive FUNdraiserAuction Baskets! Each class
has chosen their own unique theme. All items must be donated by December 5th. The following Monday, the
baskets go up for Silent Auction. We will end the auction and announce the winners at our annual Holiday
Pageant, December 13th.
As always, if you have any questions or you would like to help with any upcoming events, please feel free to
contact us at [email protected]
