PERSONAL SUMMARY As a highly-motivated and energetic new teacher, it is my goal to make a positive impact on the lives of each and every one of my students. If I have learned anything throughout my life it is that we are all different, whether it be based on our family, religion, culture, learning styles, physicality, mental abilities and/or disabilities, we all deserve an opportunity to learn and grow in an environment free from ridicule. That is why, as a teacher, I will make it my priority to be sensitive to each of my students interests, achievements, and difficulties. I will establish a sense of community, respect for others, and a risk free environment by modelling a positive attitude toward diversity, accepting mistakes as opportunities for learning, fostering positive critical thinking and acknowledging and building on the unique ways in which each student thinks and learns.
