Opportunities

This article examines the potentials of an appropriate technology with which the Ghana Agribusiness industry can leverage to boost the living conditions of the industry dependent people, increase the sector's contribution to GDP, and equip local firms with resources to stand the international competition and to offer multinational firms information required during their globalization endeavours. This will be strategic to maximise the opportunities and manage constraints. Moreover, many business constraints exist. Some are poor technological infrastructure, institutional voids, bribery, corruption, bureaucracy, and poorly trained human capital. There was a critical examination of extant studies by several scholars and researchers related to the study's objective. The review's primary focus is to establish strong conceptual, theoretical, and empirical support for this study. These included segments that dealt with the conceptual framework review of competitive advantage and theoretical reviews of the Network Theory. Structured as the third segment is the empirical review. This entails an in-depth review of extant studies related to the three-pronged objectives, with the aim of either rejecting or accepting the underlying framework in such studies. Thematic analysis was employed to analyze the primary data collected via focus group discussion and in-depth interviews. In-depth examination of participants' responses revealed that though the majority (18), 82% of the participants indicated the adoption of technology in the workplace, whiles a few suggested partial or near adoptions.

The Basic Education Learning Continuity Plan of the Department of Education highlights the use of different learning delivery modalities to assure that education continues amidst COVID-19 pandemic. Online distance learning modality (ODLM) has become increasingly available to provide new pathways of learning experiences during emergency remote education. This study was conducted to determine the students' perceived challenges and opportunities in ODLM at a public secondary school in the Division of San Pablo City. Convergent parallel mixed methods research design was employed; survey questionnaires were administered to 300 respondents who were selected from Grades 7 to 12 learners through stratified random sampling. To analyze the data, mean and standard deviation were computed. To verify the results, in-depth interview was conducted among 12 purposively selected participants. Thematic analysis was then used to interpret these responses. Results proved that majority of the students did not perceive motivation, learning resources, support system, and digital self-efficacy as challenges. Despite these satisfactory results, there are still students who encounter challenges such as lack of motivation, unstable internet connection, and voluminous tasks. Moreover, majority of them perceived self-directed learning, learning outcomes, convenience and ease, and accessibility as opportunities. Students take responsibility of their own learning, develop digital literacy, and improve time management skills. Opportunities are evident; however, challenges are inevitable. School administrators, teachers, parents, and other stakeholders should work together to deliver quality education among learners despite the change in learning modality. An action plan is proposed to lessen the challenges and strengthen the opportunities in ODLM.

Kurumsal Risk ve Fırsatlarının belirlenmesi için Şirketimizin 2015-2019 yılı stratejik planında belirtilen amaç ve hedefler dikkate alınarak; Şirketimizin maruz kalabileceği riskleri belirlemek, PTT A.Ş. Risk ve Fırsatların Yönetimi Prosedürüne somut bir örnek teşkil ederek süreç risklerini belirlemek, değerlendirilmesi ve önceliklendirmesine ilişkin bir model oluşturmak amacıyla Şirket personelinin kendi risk ve fırsatlarını dokümante edebilmesi, risk temelli düşünce metodolojisini kavraması amacıyla hazırlanmıştır.

Raporumuz Şirket içindeki Yönetim Sistemleri Eğitimlerinde, atölye çalışmalarında detaylandırılarak anlatılmakta, uygulamalı atölye çalışmalarıyla desteklenmektedir.

Bu raporun hazırlanmasında temel amaç Risk ve Kurumsal Risk Yönetimine ilişkin literatür çalışması yapılarak  KYS ISO 9001:2015 versiyonunun ana fikri, risk temelli düşünme prensibine ışık tutulması, doğrudan operasyonel faaliyetleri yürüten ve süreç risklerini tanımlaması gereken Şirketimiz Risk Ekiplerine bilgi aktarmaktır.

Raporun yazımına motivasyon sağlayan diğer konu ise; Ülkemizin rekabet gücünü artırmak, ulusal ve uluslararası düzeyde ticaretini kolaylaştırmak ve toplumun yaşam düzeyini yükseltmek için özellikle Kamu Kuruluşlarında standardizasyon sağlanması amacıyla Türk Standartları Enstitüsü (TSE) tarafından yaygınlaştırılmaya çalışılan Yönetim Sistemlerine ilişkin diğer kamu kuruluşlarına örnek oluşturmak ve temel bilgilendirme sağlamaktadır.

Nutrigenomics is relatively a new branch of science which involves more review and further research. Therefore, it must be well understood before it is applied in the field of agriculture particularly in animal nutrition.Livestock performance is thought to be affected by genotype (heritable) and environment (non-heritable). Nutrition is among the greatest environmental determinants. Genes are turned on and off according to metabolic signals that the nucleus accepts from internal factors like hormones and external factors like nutrients.Currently, Nutrigenomics which comprisesofthe three crucial-omics stages (Transcriptomics, Proteomics and Metabo-lomics), is emerging in the branch of livestock to improve feeds that can be matched to genotypes of animals for a better production, productivity and health. Nutrition has always been known to induce metabolic alterations in muscle which are reflected in tissue remodelling, amplified protein turnover, and muscle atrophy. From a production perspective, these alterations influence efficiency of production, egg, milk and meat quality. Recently they have raised their interests on Nutrigenomics to present the "Personalized Nutrition" aiming to advance the health maintenance of animalsin Nigeria. The aim of this paper is to review the opportunities and challenges for the next generation animal nutrition in Nigeria.
