Introvert

A small work on discrimination of introverts and extroverts in the context of right to education. The author claims that introverts and extroverts are different people and each group has to be treated differently in order to provide them the opportunity to satisfy their needs in the context of right to education when they are vulnerable and not prepared for life. The author argues that there is a need to set the legal framework for the protection of introverts and extroverts.

Abstrak Karakteristik dan kepribadian siswa dapat mempengaruhi kemampuan mereka untuk berkomunikasi. Beberapa ahli menyatakan bahwa dua karakter utama siswa dalam pembelajaran bahasa, yaitu ekstrovert dan introvert, yang mana karakter tersebut saling bertentangan. Oleh karena itu, para pengajar disarankan untuk mengetahui karakter siswanya, karena dengan mengetahui kepribadian mereka, para pengajar akan dapat memilih strategi pembelajaran yang tepat untuk diterapkan pada proses belajar mengajar di kelas mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan deskripsi tentang proses belajar mengajar dan strategi yang diterapkan oleh para pengajar bahasa Inggris kepada para siswa yang memiliki karakteristik kepribadian introvert di kelas speaking. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif yaitu wawancara semi-terstruktur dan didukung oleh pengamatan pada proses belajar mengajar yang dilakukan oleh peneliti. Hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa penggunaan metode pembelajaran kooperatif dapat menjadi solusi untuk kelas speaking yang didominasi oleh para siswa dengan karakteristik introvert. Kata Kunci: speaking, karakteristik introvert, strategi pengajaran. Abstract Characteristics and personality of students can influence their ability to communicate. Some experts state that the two main characters of students in language learning, namely extroverts and introverts, which are conflicting characters. Therefore, the teachers are advised to know the character of their students, because by knowing their personalities, the teachers will be able to choose the right learning strategies to be applied to the teaching and learning process in their class. This study aims to give a description of the teaching and learning process and the strategies applied by English teachers to students who have introverted personality characteristics in speaking class. The research method used in this study is a qualitative approach that is semi-structured interviews and supported by observations in the teaching and learning process that has done by the researcher. The results of this study concluded that the use of cooperative learning methods could be a solution for speaking classes dominated by students with introverted characteristics.

This paper attempts a Jungian approach to Margaret Drabble’s novel The Realms of Gold. Jungian reading has been taken up to unravel the distinctive characteristics which make this novel so unique and popular. The focus of the paper is to classify the main characters of the novel in terms of their psychological types. In this novel from the beginning the reader is introduced to an atmosphere which is related to the personality of the main character Frances Wingate. Her thoughts are introduced to the readers in form of monologues. By the usage of these monologues and the narrator’s judgments on the characters their psychological types can be implied. This study was an attempt to investigate the effect of two types of learning, competitive and cooperative, on the reading comprehension of introvert and extrovert EFL learners. To this end, 120 learners studying at Marefat English Language Institute in Tehran, Iran were selected, after taking a Preliminary English Test (PET), to participate in this quasi-experimental research. The participants also answered the Eysenck Personality Inventory (EPI) to categorize them into two personality types of introverts and extroverts. Therefore, there were four subgroups: 30 introverts and 30 extroverts undergoing the cooperative learning treatment, and 30 introverts and 30 extroverts experiencing the competitive learning treatment. This paper is an attempt to uncover the methods and features of architecture and urbanism in Iranian environment during the recent history;The importance of various elements and factors influencing decision makers and peoples' views in designing cities and metropolitan areas is very clear. However, the cultural and environmental parameters can be regarded as essential as other determinant elements in Iranian urban planning and architecture. The study results show the significance of introvertive urban planning thanks to Iranian traditions and the religious trends that have dominated this country's culture, and thereby, affected architecture and urban planning schemes. The buildings are very simplistic in terms of their forms, functions, and the equipment used, without any relationship with outside. The most valuable and beautiful section and space of the houses are made inside without their face showing this specification. City textures not only do not change to development strategies, but also they destroy national capitals and budgets and social and economic rudiments.

The study aims to shed some light on pedagogical and learning issues that have cropped up during the pandemic for transitioning from traditional classrooms to entirely virtual learning. The study reflects how the paradigm shift can directly or indirectly affect the soft skills of all parties involved in the success or the failure of an educational system. An in-depth focus group discussion methodology was used to collect information in this qualitative study. Thirty faculty who taught online courses at the tertiary level were selected for the discussions. They provide significant insights about how the fully online learnings continued longer than the anticipated timelines impact the pedagogical value and the futurity of an individual's educational goals. The study shows that embracing the virtual approach in teaching can promote teachers' innovativeness by using various new applications and digital tools but bring new challenges for dealing with diverse learning styles.

Stress is a psychological disorder that commonly found among co-assistant of faculty of medicine. The source of stress can be internal or external. Personality is one factor that can influence the occurrence of stress. The aim of the study was to determine the relationship between introvert and extrovert personality with stress among co-assistant batch 2011 of Faculty of Medicine-Udayana University. The research design used was analytic cross sectional. Collection of data performed by using questionnaire given to 62 co-assistant batch 2011 of Faculty of Medicine-Udayana University. Bivariate analysis using chi square was performed by software SPSS 16.0 for Windows. The number of respondent with extrovert personality were more than those with introvert personality (56,5% vs 43,5%) dan the number of respondent suffering stress were 33 (53,2%). Bivariate analysis showed a significant relationship between introvert and extrovert personality with stress (p = 0,000 [p < 0,05]). This research investigates the efficacy of cognitive therapy in reducing test anxiety. The method of this study was experimental and the target population was undergraduate students of Tehran city. The sample consisted of 90 girls randomly selected from the subjects who were diagnosed as with test anxiety by TAI and psychological interview. Subjects were assigned randomly to experimental and control groups with regard personality components (Introvert and Extravert). The cognitive therapy was used as therapy techniques.A one way analysis of variance showed significant differences between experimental and control groups in variables of test anxiety. Tuky test demonstrated that cognitive therapy was effective in reducing test anxiety. In addition t test demonstrated that cognitive therapy was more effective in reducing test anxiety of introvert students.

Detailed information revealed through combined use of light-and scanning electron microscopy, is given for two species of kinorhynchs, representing the cyclorhagid genera Semnoderes and Antygomonas. The two species have not previously been examined using SEM, and the new observations point out several similarities between species of the two genera, which could indicate a potential close relationship. The generated data is meant to be incorporated in a future phylogenetic analysis in order to clarify the phylogenetic relationships among kinorhynchs.
