The main aim that we have is to create a completely automated car parking system with minimal human interference. With the rising population in the world, time is of the essence and hence we need to minimize the time taken by trivial activities such as finding a place to park in a busy place and avoid traffic congestion. We have seen in existing systems sometimes accidents can occur in parking situations by cars going at high speed o caused by frustrated drivers unable to find a parking space for a long period of time. In our project we propose a smart and automated car parking model that will help the user in booking their parking spaces beforehand and the vehicle will be able to park automatically once in the parking zone .The difference between our project of automated car parking systems is we hope to minimize human interaction as much as possible and make both the vehicle and the parking area fitted with sensors that will help us execute a safe and efficient way of parking. Hence, we aim to provide a completely safe and automated experience that is robust and can be implemented in real time and hopefully be implemented as the general norm for parking systems in the future.

In the early times the concept of smart cities have gained great popularity. The proposed smart parking system consists of an onsite development of an IOT module that is used to monitor and signalize the state of availability of singe parking space. This paper introduce an IOT based coordinated frame work for efficient and easy way of parking the vehicle by checking the availability of slot. Everything in the modern world is moving automatic, we have built a system which can automatically sense the entry and exit of cars through the gate and then display the number of cars in the parking lot. This automated car parking system reduce the time taken to check the space for the vehicle by displaying the available space for parking on a LCD displayer by using infrared(IR) sensors installed at the entrance and exit. This project is developed using micro-controller.
Over the years, there has been lot of changes that has taken place which affects human life. Due to increase in the number of the vehicles in cities have led to major problems such as traffic, pollution, etc. One such problem that is the reason for traffic and disturbance is the parking problem. People usually park their vehicle in an indiscipline manner which leads to informality. Also people usually waste their time and efforts for searching proper space to park their vehicle. The aim of this paper is to resolve this issue related to parking. IoT based system named Automated Parking is implemented which involves sensors for detection of free spaces and LCD's for display purpose. RFID tag for payment purpose. This system allows the user to get the nearest free slot for parking which avoids the wastage of the time and also avoids traffic.

The industrialization of the world, increase in population, slow paced city development and mismanagement of the available parking space has resulted in parking related problems. There is a dire need for a secure, intelligent, efficient and reliable system which can be used for searching the unoccupied parking facility, guidance towards the parking facility, negotiation of the parking fee, along with the proper management of the parking facility. Intelligent Parking Service is a part of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). This paper reviews different Intelligent Parking Services used for parking guidance, parking facility management and gives an insight into the economic analysis of such projects. The discussed systems will be able to reduce the problems which are arising due to unavailability of a reliable, efficient and modern parking system, while the economic analysis technique will help in analyzing the projects' feasibility.
We chose the Intelligent Mode of Parking Management because we feel that parking is a growing problem of urbanization. There is an urgent need to address this menace. At present, most car parking systems do not have any intelligent monitoring system or are monitored by human beings. This Car Parking system indicates the total number of empty and filled parking slots at the entry gate as well as at each crossing inside the parking area. A magnetic sensor is used to sense the entry of a car into the parking system. The boom barrier at the entrance opens only if a parking slot is available. Empty slots are indicated by IR sensors and LEDs. An ultrasonic sensor assists in parking of the vehicle. The entry time, exit time and, photo of each car is recorded to address security concerns. The status of the parking system can also be accessed through a website by the user in the course of the journey. The intelligent mode of parking system can be easily adopted by housing societies, malls, theatres etc. any paid or unpaid parking facility with ease and less cost. The smart car parking system uses the Raspberry Pi Board. This paper describes the details of the technology and software used in the development of the product.
This paper aims to provide a user friendly, reliable and automated car parking system Even if known; many vehicles may pursue very limited parking spaces to cause serious traffic congestion. In this paper, we design and implement a prototype of Smart Parking System The automatic car parking system is totally automated with the user being given a unique ID corresponding to the trolley being allocated to him or her this kind of equipment is useful to solve the issue of limited parking space available is busy cities. With the increase of economic behavior and the upgrade of living standard, the ratio of people in India who own automobiles and motorcycles have recently increased giving a boost to Metropolitan Traffic. Therefore, parking issues will be a big challenge to facilitate traffic network and ensure urban life quality. Searching for parking space in most metropolitan areas, especially during the rush hours, is difficult for drivers. The difficulty arises from not knowing where the available spaces may be at that time.

In today’s era one of the most common problems which the world is facing is an exponential increase in population. This has indirectly increased a lot of other issues; one of them being the quantity of vehicles on the road. The increased number of vehicles results in shortage of parking areas. This project aims to present an intelligent parking system for vehicles that identifies the parking slot automatically through sensors and displays it without making the drivers to circle around the parking area. The availability of parking slots will be displayed to the drivers at the entrance. It also captures the number plate of vehicles by using camera and recognises the number using image processing and stores it in the server at the entrance and also at the exit of parking area for ease of payment purposes. Now-a-days, mainly in metropolitan cities one of the major issue is availability of parking space. The reserved parking area during the busy hours gets completely full and congested which makes a lot of confusion for the car owner to look for their vehicle in the parking area. To overcome this difficulty, it is essential to modernize and improve the current parking system. For this purpose an android application is used to implement a prototype of Smart car Parking System. These allow the car owners to easily look for vehicle parking spaces with the help of IoT (Internet of Things) with slot allocation method and android application using firebase. The current available parking facilities are unable to cope with the arrival and departure frequency of large number of vehicle. To mitigate the previously mentioned issue, we proposed a Smart Parking Management System that helps drivers to automatically find a free parking space easily. Smart parking would enable vehicle occupancy, monitoring and managing to be done very effectively in real-time that would even help in reducing the environmental pollution. Proposed system provides optimized usage of parking space and gets considerable revenue generation.

Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) is a modern approach in transportation engineering and management strategies of computer science, electronics and communication as it aims to provide advanced services in various methods of transport and traffic management systems. This helps the users to make safe, smart and efficient transport networks. Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) has a very wide application starting from traffic management to driver operation and vehicle control systems. Due to increase in vehicle production and world population leads to demand for more parking spaces and parking facilities. This problem is arising due to gap between demand and supply of parking spaces. The basic focus of this study is how to identify the exact location for parking the vehicle with the help of Arduino IDE software program. It will address the problems effectively associated with identification of parking slots and reaching parking places in urban areas. It informs and guide drivers to find limited number of parking spaces including their price in parking zones with in a shorter duration. Infrared sensors are also used to detect car parking slot occupancy. Smart Parking System (SPS) deals with identification of empty parking space, improper parking of vehicles and show the direction towards vacant parking slots. It also deals with digital payment facility. The ultimate focus of this is to identify the availability or non-availability of parking space.
Parking system became a necessity for public places especially in big cities. For reasons of efficiency of human resources, the automatic parking system was developed. Automatic parking system is a parking system without any human intervention as a system operator. To create a fully automated system, requires a mechanism automatically recording the vehicle's identity and security mechanisms to prevent acts of theft. Vehicle plate number recognition is a method of image processing to recognize license plate number and vehicle color recognition as an additional method, to provide an additional vehicle identity. The use of two recognition methods to make the system work automatically. To add security features to the system multifactor authentication is applied. This paper presents a study, design and prototyping of automatic car park system. Where plate number recognition and color recognition are adopted to make full automatic system. The use of technologies such as RFID and microcontroller is needed in the future to implement real systems that is completely automated. The design of this system is expected to provide the efficiency of human resources.
