Happy Sunday Everyone!!  I am back safe and sound!!  I am so happy to be home!!  I truly missed Scott, crafting and my own routine.  It was great to visit with my dear family though.

Today I would like to share a card I created for this week's Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge hosted by Rebecca!!  Rebecca is the sweetest ever and she so inspires me with her faith and ability to share what she believes despite all the hardships she goes through. I so wanted to participate in her challenge despite my lack of time or not being home.  So here is my quickie card...

Rebecca chose the verse:
Those who know your name will trust in You, for You, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek You. --Psalm 9:10
What a blessing to know that God is there for those who seek Him whether we deserve His Grace or not...All of us are sinful and do not deserve the Grace He has bestowed upon us but he promises that He
will not forsake us if we seek Him.  God did give us the choice on whether we want Him or not, however.  God gave us a soul and a mind to make choices...To me...there is no other choice to accept him as my Saviour...What a blessing to have His Salvation and know that I am not alone!!  He is with me in every circumstance.

Rebecca's challenge is:
Use things that secure! Buttons, no less then 3

Here is my take on the challenge using a sneak peak of He Will Rise from Our Daily Bread Designs to be released on March 1.  The sentiment is embossed on black on the material designer paper and cut out with a special customized Eternity die (made for ODBD by Spellbinders).

The designer paper is fabric designer paper which I purchased from Hobby Lobby.  The flourishes are cut out with a Bosskut die. The leaves are punched with a Martha  The flower on the bow is hand crocheted. I added some delish lace that I just received in a RAK from my dear friend Sabrina!  Thanks Sabrina!!

Happy Saturday Everyone!!  I have been gone all week visiting family.  I was looking forward to coming home and seeing my dear hubby but it looks like mother nature does not want to cooperate.  I am stuck due to the snow.  Good thing I worked well in advance and have some creations made to share....Today I would like to share this week's Shining the Light challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs!!

This weeks challenge:  Is a sketch!!  Since Pat Smethers is now a full time designer for our Challenge team, I thought it would be nice to welcome her by honoring her with a "sketch case"  Isn't this card beautiful?

To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize, a $ 15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Thursday, March 3. One random winner will be chosen and announced next Saturday. If you are not using ODBD stamps, please do not enter more than once. Additional entries without using ODBD stamps will not be commented on or will they qualify for prizes.

While it is not required to use Our Daily Bread Designs images and sentiments on your creations, we would love to see them if you have them.As a way of recognizing those who do use Our Daily Bread Designs stamps, we will again be choosing 1 to 2 creations to spotlight for our Shining the Light Award. In order to qualify for this award, however, you must use Our Daily Bread stamps and have your submission added to Mr. Linky by March 3 at 8 p.m. EST.If you upload your creations to Splitcoast Stampers or any other online gallery, please use the keyword is ODBDSLC50. When creating your posts on blogs please include a link to the challenge.

Here is my take on the sketch using some more gorgeous sneak peaks at Our Daily Bread Designs.  I am so excited to share the new die and matching stamp set called Eternity to be released on March 1.  It has such gorgeous quotes and a frame which fits in a customized die made by Spellbinders especially for ODBD.  How cool is that!!
For my card I used some Kaisercraft English Rose designer paper and gold glitter paper from American crafts.  The lace is from Joann Fabrics and I wove some silk May Arts ribbon through it.  The roses are from Wild Orchids.  The bottom of my card is punched with a Martha Stewart Shell border punch.  The flourishes are die cut with a Bosskut die.  The leaves are created by a Martha Stewart Leaf punch and hand embossing the veins (as well as distressing). The pearls are from ZVA Creative.

card recipe:
stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs : Sneak Peak of Eternity and specialized die (created by Spellbinders)
paper: Kaiserkraft English Rose, Pink pirouette, gold glitter paper from American Crafts
Tools and accessories: Martha Stewart border punch-Shells border, gold embossing powder and heat tool, Wild Orchid flowers, Bosskut flourish die

Hi All!!  Have you ever seen the fun minis at Your Next Stamp.  I just love these little stamps which are smaller than the original stamps and perfect for tags.  Great way to coordinate projects.  I had a great time using my scraps and creating and coloring with these minis.

Sinice YNS is sponsoring the the fabulous Etsy Inspired challenge, I decided to create my first creation for that challenge. The Etsy inspiration shop for this challenge is Claylicious, for functional and decorative pottery.

I used this image here on the Craylicious  site for my inspiration on my first tag.  I used the mini Shopping Fhiona stamp and colored it orange and blue to follow the color scheme.  The dp, which is from my scraps, mimics the swirls on the pottery.

Set of two nesting oval dishes in turquoise and pink

To play along in the Etsy Inspired Challenge:
**Go to http://www.etsy.com/shop/claylicious, look around, and find an item or two that inspires you.
**Make any *NEW* creation that you would like and post a link on the Etsy Inspired challenge blog by Friday, February 25th, 2011 at noon Pacific time.
**Give credit to the shop/item you found your inspiration from and link back the Etsy Inspired.

After creating one tag, I could not stop at one so....here are a few more I created. What is the most fun of all is using some of those scraps you keep saving!!
Tag created with Mini Windy Day Fhiona

Tag created with Mini Ellie Loves to Skate

Lacey, owner of Stamp and Create, has written before about a little boy Luke and his battle with complications from Spinal Meningitis. You can read about his story here and her Card drive for Luke here.

She purchased a special image called "Little Luke" as a fundraiser for Luke and his family (Luke likes Star Wars which is why she chose this image)...

100% of the sale of this digital stamp will be donated to Luke's family to help with medical bills and travel expenses for his treatment at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.

She has started this image as a digital stamp, but has plans to turn it into a rubber stamp if there is enough interest.
Please help this family by purchasing this digital stamp.

It would be great if you would help spread the word as well.
You can grab the image above and link it to this post here at the Stamp and Create  store.

Happy Sunday Everyone!! I hope you are all having a great weekend! We are all recuperating and still fighting the flu.  It feels good to be a weekend and have some down time.

Today I am popping by to share the new Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge.  This week's host is Peggysue!

Peggysue chose the verse: Exodus 8: 9-11
And Moses said unto Pharaoh, Glory over me: when shall I intreat for thee, and for thy servants, and for  thy people, to destroy the frogs from thee and thy houses, that they may remain in the river only?
. And he said, To morrow. And he said, Be it according to thy word: that thou mayest know that there is none like unto the LORD our God.
And the frogs shall depart from thee, and from thy houses, and from thy servants, and from thy people; they shall remain in the river only.

Peggysue challenges us to use the color green somewhere in your creation.

This is a sympathy card I created for a dear friend who recently lost her husband to a sudden heart attack.  I used the Upsy Daisy Stampin UP set and the sentiment is created with Sincere Salutations (also from SU).  My SU supplies have been so neglected I just had to use a lot of my retired dp, inks and ribbon.

The colors on this card are soft sky and certainly celery.  The ribbon is retired Wild Wasabi.  The dp is retired Wintergreen from SU.  The embossing folder is Spots from Provocraft.

Happy Saturday Everyone!!  I hope you are all having a great beginning to your weekend!! Our Daily Bread Designs is kicking off the weekend with another fun challenge!!

This weeks challenge:
The team challenges you to creating a card or project which includes stamping an image over a sentiment.

To make the challenge even more fun, we will be giving out a prize, a $ 15 gift certificate to be used toward stamps at the Our Daily Bread Designs store!! Entries for the prize must be submitted by Thursday, February 24.

When creating your posts on blogs please include a link to the challenge.

For my creation, I used the Anchor Stamp set for a more masculine card to send to a gentlemen friend from our church who has been battling  cancer.  I don't normally post too many masculine cards on my blog but am trying to post more of a variety.  A little more blah in my opinion but I do think it is good for a guy. The dp I found in my scrap bin and just looked like a stormy ocean to me so I thought it would fit perfectly.  The sentiment is over stamped over an anchor image.  The sentiment is framed with an oval and the Fancy Tags die.

CARD RECIPE:
Stamps: Anchor from Our Daily Bread Designs
Paper: scrap dp, kraft, night of navy
Accessories: twill ribbon from SU, Anchor charm, soft swirls embossing folder, brown and white Baker's twine

Happy Hump Day Everyone!! I want to apologize in advance for the lack of details on my creations...I don't want to let my design teams down but I am quite ill right now with the flu as is the rest of my family so this will be short and sweet.  If I am feeling a bit better in the a.m., I will come back and add more details for you.  Sorry!

Today I would like to share 2 creations for 3 different challenges and teams.

Being a Wednesday...it is time for a new Creative Belli, Your Next Stamp, and Whiff of Joy Challenge creation!!

The first creation I made is for the Whiff Of Joy challenge which is to paper piece on your creation.  I used the darling Willow from the Blooming Spring Kit.  I colored her in with copics but paper pieced her dress, apron, bow and some of the leaves.  Some of the papers used were scraps and others were from the Kaiser Kraft English Rose pad and the K&Co. Julianne.  Most of the paper is embossed.  The ribbon is silk from May Arts.  The flowers are primas that I ripped and took apart to create new flowers.  The tag is created with the Labels 17 die from Spellbinders.  The lace is recycled from packaging I received as a bow or ribbon on a gift.

The next creation I made was for the Your Next Stamp and Creative Belli challenge.  The Your Next Stamp challenge is also Paper Piecing.  The Creative Belli challenge is to use felt on your creation (if you don't have felt, you may use material).

I used the darling Flower Bouquet Fhiona from Your next stamp and paper pieced her with some old SU dp I have hoarded...Belle...( I am drawing a blank on the name...sorry).  The felt flower is also from SU.  The tag is punched out with SU tag punches.  The bow is May Arts Silk ribbon.  The box itself is using the Be Mine template designed by Leigh Ann Baird available at Perfect Presentations.
