A little note to say hello...

Hello, Friends!! It has been a while since I posted a card so I thought today I would share one of my latest creations. It was made to send to a friend to let them know I was thinking and praying for them using the March Anniversary Release. I just love the decorative dies that are so perfect for layering!!

For my card, I used the Lavish Layers dies, Filigree Frame Dies, Double Stitched Rectangles and Rectangle Dies. The sentiment is from the Faith Card Sentiments.

The combo of papers is from the Old Glory Paper Collection. The middle border is created with the Leafy Edged Borders dies.

Is there someone who needs encouragement? Sending a kind word to someone regardless of whether they are going through a difficult time or just to let them know you care for no occasion what so ever can build someone up or add a smile to their day.

Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. Ephesians 4:29

ODBDSLC273 You are "sew" special...

Hello, Friends!! I am hoping today finds you all well and that you all are receiving some sunshine wherever you may be located!! Spring, here in Virginia, has been more like a yo-yo from cold to warm with a record number of mornings with freezing temperatures, The flowers were out, the leaves were appearing on the trees, my daylilies were popping out of the ground and growing nicely and now I have a bunch of brown foliage, wilted or dead flowers, and a lot of dead leaves on the trees. I so love this time of year and am looking forward to when Spring has Sprung to stay.

Today I would like to share I created for this week's Shining the Light challenge using the recipe beginning with each letter of the Acronym- O D B D.

I had so much fun stitching, layering with the star quilt die and the gorgeous Cozy Quilt Paper Collection. I just love the pink!!

I can not sure whether or not this will be my mother's Day card for my Mom since My Mom may be viewing this post...LOL! I am also so blessed to have my parents visiting with me from NY this week!! God is so good!! I am so thankful for my parents and am enjoying every moment with them!! God is so good!!

ODBDSLC273 Fluttering in with a Happy Birthday!

Hello, Friends!! I hope everyone had a good weekend!! It is hard to believe it is already April!!

I am popping in to share a card I created for the ODBDSLC273 challenge and for a dear friend on her birthday. The Shining the Light challenge was to use the letters in the ODBD abbreviation for a recipe on your card whether it be the image, materials used or technique.

For the challenge, I used the letters in ODBD for a recipe for the Shining the Light Challenge:
O- Our Daily Bread Designs stamps, Ornate Corners
D- Doily, Double Edged Circles
B- Butterfly, Banner, Black, Bow
D- Dimension, Designer Paper

ODBD Card Recipe:
ODBD Stamps Used: All Mothers
ODBD Dies Used: Layered Lacey Squares, Doily, Ornate Flowers and Borders, Double Stitched Circles, Fancy Fritillary
ODBD Paper Used: Cozy Quilt 6x6 Paper Collection

As you can see, I have used several layers. I am loving the Cozy Comfort Collection paper!! The colors are so beautiful as are the patterns. If you look at the card close up you will see the sewn border and the Poppies embossed in the background.

My first creation uses the new All Mothers Stamp set which is die cut with the Mini Tags Dies. The beautiful designer paper is the new Cozy Quilt Collection 6x6 Paper Pack.

The flower is created with the Pretty Posies Die mounted on the Doily. More foliage was added using the Fancy Foliage die. It is framed with the Double Stitched Squares dies.

My second creation is using the gorgeous new Star Quilt Die and Americana Quilt 6x6 Paper Collection. The sentiment is from the Quilted with Love stamp set and is die cut with the Mini Tags die. The quilt is framed with the Layered Lacey Squares die.

I had so much fun creating these cards with the new quilt die, the gorgeous papers and the new stamps. Here are the stamps, dies and papers used from the new release.
