Happy Sunday Everyone!!

Today is another Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge and this week the hostess is the sweet and talented Linda.  Linda has chosen the verse:

Php 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

There is the saying "What goes in must come out".  I am very cautious with my children in what they watch on tv or do on the computer etc.  because I truly do believe that what they watch can shape who they are as human beings.  If they view violence or shows showing disrespect toward parents (some of these teen shows....yikes!) etc. this can effect how they react towards me or others.  We learn by example.  If I am polite and show respect, my children are most likely to do the same.  It is the same in our thoughts.  Sometimes our thoughts seem real, if we keep our thoughts pure, our actions will also be pure.  Not that we a are perfect and never do wrong, we are human.

Linda's challenge is:
Make either an all white or an all cream card, a monochrome in pure tones.

This week's sponsor is Simon Says Stamp who is offering a generously offering a $15 gift certificate to their store.

I sure hope I did my creation right since I did color my image, but the rest is cream.

For my creation I used the Say a Prayer image from Wags n Whiskers and some acetate.  Of course I had to add lace, ribbon and pearls.  The image is framed with the Spellbinder Bead it Circles. The image is colored with copics.  The border on the bottom is punched with the Wavy border punch from EK Success.

Happy Friday Everyone!! I hope you are having a great day and a beautiful start to the weekend.  Today Susana Custom Arts and Custom Designs is releasing some adorable rubber stamps by a NEW artist
Carmen Medlin.  These stamps are exclusive to SCACD and are referred to as the Reflections Release set 1.  I am so honored to have been invited to be a guest for this hop and share in this exciting venture! Thanks Susana

If you arrived here from Kim Costello's Blog, you are in the right place, if not, you may want to start back at the beginning at Suzanne's blog to have a chance to win some awesome prizes, be inspired by the talented team, and see all the awesome new releases!! If you should get lost along the way there is a complete list of the order and all the designers at the store blog here.

There are four prizes which are gift certificates for a 20%  off coupon to the store(one time only excluding shipping) for four random bloggers from 4 random designers blogs.  These prizes are offered by both Susanna at SCACD (three coupons) and Quixotic Paperie (1 coupon).  What do you have to do to win you ask....well...

1. Leave a comment on all the hop blogs.  Only one entry per blog please.   Make sure you leave a comment on each blog because even the designers do not know where the prizes are.
2. You have until 7 p.m. EST to enter for a chance to win. The winners will be posted on the SCACD store blog here.

Here is a list of all the talented designers.  You are sure to find lots of inspiration along the way!

Now onto my creation....

I enjoyed using the most adorable Teapot Mouse ever, illustrated by Carmen Medlin. I colored the image in with copics.  The teapot is created using a template from Lauren Meader at My Time Made Easy.

The designer paper is digital paper called Tea Party Candie Apple Jack (from My Time Made Easy)    The paper is perfect as it has tea cups all over it (although the front is covered with the image)

I fastened the dp and added a decorative edge with stitching. The wavy border punch is from EK Success and the dies used were the scalloped circle for the top of the teapot and the oval scalloped and classic ovals nestabilities for framing the image.

challenges I entered this creation in are:
Alphabet-Z is for Zig Zags,  Creative Card Crew- Let's punch it, Top Tip Tuesday - Anything Goes
Sweet Stampin- Anything but a card,  Speedy The Cat's Friends - Die Cut or Punch,  A Spoon full of Sugar- die cuts or punching

If you have any questions, please email me since I would like to make this brief so you can keep on hopping!!

Your next stop on the hop is the amazing and talented Kim Dellow.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed my creation.  Please remember these images are available at Susana Custom Arts and Custom Designs (SCACD) in the USA, Quixotic Paperie in Europe, and at Art Du Scrapbooking in Canada .

Have a great day!!

Hello all!! I hope all is well with you!!  Boy is everything still so pretty with the fall leaves and the colors.  Unfortunately we had a lot of rain and wind and they are dropping quickly now.  Oh well...  Soon the cold weather will be here.  What I like best about winter is Christmas and family time especially on Sundays by the fireplace.

With that in mind, I decided to create another gift lunch box using the poinsettia image from Vintage Christmas at Whimsy.  I used the Lunch box template created by Lauren Meader for Paper Trey.  I bet you can't tell what my new fave Christmas paper is...you bet ya...Basic Grey Jovial!! Love the colors and designs and how they coordinate!!  The image is colored with watercolors and layered. I had to add some lace to give it a vintage flair and also some glittered gold ric rac to give it a little glitz.

 recipe:
stamps: Vintage Christmas at Whimsy.
paper: water color, Basic Grey Jovial
accessories: Labels 10 Spellbinders, lace, glittered ric rac
Template for box: Lauren Meader's lunchbox available at Paper Trey

WAGS N WHISKERS CHALLENGE

My second creation is a first for me.  I have never colored an image in all black and white (silhouettes or stamped flowers yes but coloring an entire image...No!!  It was almost intimidating and a real challenge for me to use just black and white (with the exception of the pink cheeks...o.k. so I cheated just a little..LOL!)  I actually am pleased with how it turned out.

This card is for the Wags n Whiskers challenge!!  This week our challenge is hosted by Angelique!!  She really challenged us all with using only black and white (or sepia) on our creations (including the coloring)

I am so excited to announce that Wags n Whiskers
has now opened up the challenges to ALL stamps!!
It is no longer a requirement to use a Wags 'n Whiskers image on your card. But there will be a separate prize if you DO use a WnW image!

Starting this week, one random participant will win a
Wags 'n Whiskers Rubber stamp of their choice.
And any entry using a Wags 'n Whiskers image on their card will be entered into a drawing for a free WnW Digital stamp of your choice!!
Therefore, anyone who uses a Wags 'n Whiskers image will be entered into both prizes of a rubber stamp and a digital stamp!!
The only requirements are that you link directly to your challenge project - not to the main page of your blog. You must have a new project (no back linking). And you must link your card to the challenge post.
If you do not have a blog, you can still enter the challenges by uploading your cards to an open gallery such as Splitcoast Stampers.
So what are you waiting for, join the challenge!!
Now on to my creation:

I used one of my fave Wags n Whiskers image Puppy love.  I also followed this week's Sketch for you to Try Sketch designed by Jen.  The sentiment is from an old SU set (the set name is escaping me so I will have to check later).  I used copics to color my image including W-1, W-2, W-5, W-7 and R-10. The dp is from Memory Box Halloween.  I did add stitching although the layers covers up a lot of it.

stamps: Wags n Whiskers Puppy Love, SU for the sentiment
Nestabilities: Lacey circles, scalloped circles, classic circles
Paper: Memory Box Halloween from a few years ago
punches: SU Circle
accessories: ric rac (large), rhinestones

Happy Tuesday Everyone!!  Have you ever felt you were in a rut and just keep creating cards or paper projects.  I do...last week I posted mostly all projects with the exception of 2 cards...Well today I challenged myself to creating with material for home decorating.

Using the stamps from Randi's song at Our Daily Bread Designs, I created coasters to match a table runner I created.  I just loved the material at Jo Ann Fabrics and had to create with it.  Here are my creations.

Here is a picture of the runner.  The colors in this photo do not do it justice.  It looks more like the top photo than the dull color here but it gives you an idea....
The leaves were embossed with gold Ranger embossing powder on tie dyed looking green fabric and then cut out.  A button was sewn on in the middle to fasten the leaf to the coaster.  All the edges were sewn with gold thread.  The material used for the coaster background is quilted and pretty thick.

 Challenges-
City Crafter- leaves falling color challenge (red, yellow and orange)
Top Tip Tuesday - Anything Goes
Sweet Stampin- Anything but a card
The Ribbon Girl - Red and Green
Papertake Weekly- sparkly and bright

Today was my day to do the Time With post at Our Daily Bread designs.  I created or altered another item for my home and have step by step directions on how I created.  Here is a sneak peak of what I altered at the ODBD blog here.

Thanks for stopping by and for your comments!! I so appreciate you!!

I used the newly released Pop Top box template from Perfect Presentations available today at the Wild Flower shop.  I used the Whiff of Joy Little Witch image now on sale at Stamp and Create for 25% off.  I just love this image and had a blast coloring it with copics.  The designer paper is some old American Crafts halloween paper from my stash.  The ribbon is yummy May Arts Green Silk.  The image is framed with the Spellbinders Lacey Circles and standard circles dies.  The boo is created using a Quickcutz die that I won from Sunday's with Crissy Armstrong.  The bats are created using a Martha stewart punch.

Happy Sunday Everyone!!  Ah!!  After church I hope to sit back and relax and maybe some blog surfing.  It has been crazy and I am just looking forward to some time to relax.

Anywho...today is a new Stampin Sisters in Christ challenge.  This week's hostess is ME.

I count it a blessing to share scripture with you at the same time as sharing my love for crafting.

Since it is October and cancer awareness month, I chose the scripture:
My health may fail, My spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; He is mine forever. Psalm 73:26

You can read my devotional on the Stampin sisters in Christ blog, I will just give you a brief synopsis here.

Many of us know of someone who has cancer or are terminally ill.   I know I have several friends who are battling cancer, including my dt sister Randi. Soon it will also be the anniversary of my dear mother in law's passing from Cancer (on Thanksgiving Day...somehow Thanksgiving has never been the same...)  She is dearly missed.  What a dreadful disease from a worldly standpoint.  So many are affected and with all the technological advances in this world we have not found a cure or a way to keep it at bay.  What good can possibly come from an illness such as this. Well, God has all things planned for our good.   What  a comfort to know that God is right beside you to hold your hand no matter what the circumstance if you believe and trust in him.

One of my very dearest friends  is suffering greatly at this time with cancer.  She is weak and in a tremendous amount of pain.  It brings me to tears to think of her suffering and the possibility of losing her but I know God has a plan…It may be to heal her in this earthly dwelling or it may be to take her Home to Him.  Through it all she trusts the Lord and is growing closer to Him each day.  How about you….Can you say you have that comfort?  I want to share her testimony with others.  No matter what the circumstance, when you are a Christian you have God on your side to hold your hand.

This week the challenge at Stampin Sisters is to create a card or project with mostly pink and include pink ribbon.

Here is my take on the challenge using the Our Daily Bread Designs Hope stamp set.

I used the sketch from Midnight Madness (turned on its side) and the Pixie Dust Sketch which are very similar for my layout and some DCWV Music paper I have had in my stash forever.  I rarely use bright colors like this so I pushed myself to think outside of the box.

It is hard to see in the photo but the lace is also pink.  The rhinestones are from a birthday RAK from my dear friend Grace.  The ribbon is from my dear friend Crystal.  Thanks girls.  I am enjoying my goodies!!

    challenges:
    Midnight Madness- sketch
    Meljjen's Designs- anything goes
    Stampin Royalty - Ribbons

    Tuesday Throwdown- Anything goes

Happy Thursday Everyone!!  I hope all is well!! Today I am popping in with a few different projects!!  I guess I am tired of just making cards so I decided it was time to switch it up a bit.

Anywho...today is the Divine Diva challenge.  Lori sent the team this link to a hostess sight showing Fall and Thanksgiving Day treats.  I chose this photo as my inspiration:

Doesn't this look yummy!!  I just had to make caramel apples and a treat container.  Here is my take on the challenge.  This is my entire project for the Diva challenge.

Here is my treat container that I created with an altered Recollections Flower container from Michaels, some muslin fabric and the digi apple image (Apple a Day Digital set) which I colored with copics from Designed to Delight.  The sentiment is from Stampin Up.  I just loved the wood lid and had to leave it uncovered.  The circle shape with the glass blobs on it is created with the Spellbinders Bead it Circles.  The label for the sentiment uses the from Labels 13 die from SpellbindersThe doily under the treat jar is created by fraying some Muslin and stamping leaves from the Your Next Stamp Autumn Greetings setI added stitching on my image panel.

The contents of the jar includes 1/2 a Granny smith and Red Delicious apple chopped.  A large heath bar chopped into small pieces (or 4 small) and caramel sauce at the bottom. Yum!!!

Here is my Caramel apple that I created and rolled in nuts so it would not stick to my packaging.  The image is a digital freebie (two apples) from Designed to Delight.  The sentiment is from Stampin Up.  The nestabilities used are the Lacey circles from Spellbinders and the Scalloped Circles.
