Hello Friends!!

Today I had the pleasure of playing with the WT451- Masked Fun challenge at Splitcoast.  What a perfect challenge for Halloween. LOL! Instead of making a Halloween card, however, I went with Christmas.

I masked the Christmas Rose from Our Daily Bread Designs 4 times to create a "garden" of roses. I also used masking with a scalloped die to create my sky. After I colored my image with copics (R00, R01, R11, R20, R22, R24, Y21 and Y35  for the roses, G00, YGO3, YG17, and G21 for the leaves, and R24, R59, and R48 for the berries), I dry embossed my panel with Darice Damask

My sewing machine was acting up this a.m. GRRRRRR! So I decided to create a pierced border instead. The sentiment is a sneak peek from Vintage Pattern Ornaments to be released tomorrow at ODBD.

This card also fits this week's Shining the Light Challenge ODBDSLC176 at ODBD which is to not use ribbon or lace.  If you have the time, we would love to have you join us!!

I am entering this into the Word Art Wednesday challenge which is Anything Goes.  Word art Wednesday shares free inspirational scripture and sentiments each week!!

Well that is all for me today!! I had fun creating this but now it is off to work I go.  I hope you all have a chance to stop by tomorrow for the New Release at Our Daily Bread Designs!!!

Have a blessed day!!!

Today we are taking a look back at Our Daily Bread Designs  October Release, here is the card/project I created using Jesus is the Reason and Candy Cane!!  I just love all the stamps and dies this month.  They are so fun, beautiful and versatile!!

I decided to design my own background with the heart candy cane from the Jesus is the Reason stamp set. The candy cane is colored with copics, cut out and mounted on the Spellbinders Petite Ovals dies.  The sentiment is framed with the Labels 4 die from Spellbinders and a fancy tag is placed behind it for the fancy scrolls at the end.

I just love designing gift boxes to accompany cards. The candy wrapper uses a template designed by Leigh Ann Baird and the .Jesus is the Reason stamp set.

Here are the stamp sets used:

Hello Friends!! I hope you are doing well!! I am in the middle of a very busy day and week but I thought I would pop in with a new card that I created with some new designer paper from ODBD!!! Yes!! ODBD has their own custom design paper that is gorgeous!! It is a 6x6 pack; all the individual sheets can be seen here !! Although the paper is called 2013 ODBD Christmas Paper Collection and it coordinates with  quite a few of the ODBD sets, many can be used for all occasions!!!!

Here is a card I created with chipboard birds and the new gorgeous dp!!

I used the WT449 challenge hosted by Cathy on SCS for this card to use chipboard.  I wanted to use this ODBD For Unto you Chalkboard, some chipboard and the gorgeous BRAND NEW   ODBD  Christmas Paper Collection 2013!!! (Oh I am so in love with this 6 x 6 paper! ) When I first saw the challenge,  I thought chipboard....I don't have any.  Surprise, Surprise I found a package of some awesome chipboard pieces...including these birds. I have things in my craft cupboards that I did not even know I had. LOL!  I painted the birds with acryllic and metallic paints.

While I am not at all ready for Christmas, I just love Christmas and the joy that it brings!!

For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger. (Luke 2:11-12)

This gift is not just an ordinary gift but a gift of salvation and hope for all who believe!!!   We love all gadgets or gifts. We love seeing that delivery truck pull up in front of the house, and eagerly hop down the stairs to answer the door. When inside, the box is immediately ripped open and whatever was contained inside is put to quick use. Or...we all have visions of opening those gifts up at Christmas and expecting what we always wanted.  What excitement!!  The gift of Christ's birth is humble and lowly and not wrapped in pretty papers but it is a gift for all of us!!!   Christ came into the world for us!! What a gift!!!  This should be more exciting than any tangible or earthly gift!!!

Hello Friends!! Well it is Tuesday and time for another fun challenge at Our Daily Bread Designs.

This week's challenge is: Create your own Background  (Create your own background with stamps or embossing- no designer paper)

Here is my creation using Candy Cane and Jesus is the Reason. The shape uses Grand Labels 23 from Spellbinders.  The sentiment is framed with Gold Labels 4.

I stamped the small candy cane from Jesus is the Reason several times to create my background.

Hello Friends!! I hope you are all having a blessed week thus far...the weekend is on it's way and I am so excited!!  This weekend will be fun as it is the Railroad Festival in our Historic town of Appomattox with lots of fun...including a parade, sidewalk sale, and etc.  Our church is also celebrating it's 179th year and will be having a Harvest weekend!!  I look forward to singing with the choir as I have so missed singing with the Heaven's Harmony group from Goshen Reformed Church in NY. I praise God for the opportunity to join this week!!!

Anywho...Fall is here and before you know it....Christmas will be here too.  With that in mind I am so behind!! I need to get cracking on the cards.  I like to make quick cards but I also to make some more intricate for close friends and family.  This card is a little more intricate or not one you necessarily mass reproduce but yet not to detailed.

I decided to use the Prince of Peace Chalkboard from Our Daily Bread Designs.

I wanted to add some pizaaz so I added glamour dust under my bracket border.

CARD RECIPE
Stamps: Our Daily Bread Designs- Prince of Peace
Paper: Navy, White, SU designer paper
Ink: Black Memento
Accessories: Spellbinders- A2 Bracket Borders 1
