Unfortunately my DH has been feeling a bit rough with a chest infection, which meant I have stayed mostly around home. This does mean I have managed to finish the hand sewing on the last BOM and completed the blanket stitching.
Here it is with the other parts and very nicely modelled by Lola.
This one probably shows the whole top a bit better.
I didn't have enough variety of fabrics left over to complete the top how Annie Downs suggested - full border of triangles and random circles. But where I used a couple of packs of 5" charm squares I did have lots of left over pieces 1.5" x 5". So I utilised them on the border and I am very happy with how it turned out!
Well that just about wraps it up before Christmas. I will link up with Kathy's blog for some slow Sunday stitching although Im not sure how much stitching I will get done today, I have gifts to wrap!!
Happy Christmas
This is such a bright and cheerful quilt. I too have gifts to wrap, but what is needed for Christmas day is mostly done. Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better for the holiday, Sarah! Your quilt top is a beauty. So many fun blocks to look at! Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI love how you did the border with the leftover strips! This is such a bright and happy quilt! Are you going to hand quilt it? Lola approves! Merry Christmas! Gail at the cozy quilter.
