Spinach, Feta and Potato Pies 菠菜乳酪马铃薯派

The other day when i bought two bundles of Chinese baby spinach from the usual stall at the market, not sure why the boss gave me extra one bundles for free (maybe due to i am their loyal customer ^_^). With this extra spinach, i immediately decided to make this pie that i saw from the Food & Travel magazine (i bought this magazine because Nami Just One Cookbook was one of the recipe contributor).
After i eaten a very nice Borek during my trip to Queen Victoria Market Melbourne, i have been thinking to try the similar filling that using spinach and cheese..I prefer savoury pie more than sweet pie..
I am glad that this pie turned out so good, love the flaky and crumbly crust , and yummy spinach and cheese filling!

Chinese Braised Tomato Noodles 番茄面

Today again about tomato ^_^. I have to post by this week because next week is school holiday and we are going to visit a state in Malaysia that we have never been there before, Kelantan (Let me know if you have any nice recommendation where to find good food or nice places to visit)..
Tomato noodles is famous in Sungai Lembing Pahang, and they use homemade Lembing noodles. I can't call my dish as Lembing tomato noodles since i did not use Lembing noodles..so i just called it as Chinese braised tomato noodles..

Stuffed Tomato and Eggs Cabbage rolls 番茄鸡蛋津白卷

This stuffed cabbage rolls was inspired and created after i saw a Guangdong famous dish cabbage rolls 津白卷 recipe (filling is using meat ) was published in a Chinese news papper and a another cooking show using tomato and scrambled eggs as the filling for dumplings..So i combine these two ideas and turned into this stuffed tomato and eggs cabbage rolls. A plain, light and healthy dish , Chinese said 清淡可口..

Mango Pomelo Sago Dessert 杨枝甘露

After every Pai Tin Kong celebration (CNY day 9) , my mom sure give me one pomelo. Usually i don't buy pomelo because kids don't appreciate this fruit. When i was thinking to make this dessert using the pomelo given by my mom the other day. I saw Jessie also sharing this dessert using so beautiful pinky pomelo. When i was trying to peel this pomelo, I was hoping my pomelo will be look pink like her but i still got the same ordinary plain pomelo, so sad ^_^..

Birthday Longevity Noodles 寿面

We had this Birthday longevity noodles when we were having Chinese New Year lunch together with few relatives at Banting. The other day i tried to imitated this noodles at home for a light lunch..If for Hokkien people like me, usually we will have mee suah soup when Birthday but those restaurant outside usually serve this type of Birthday noodles. Nowadays we can easily have this type of noodles in any days.
There are various version of these noodles served in different restaurants such as mee suah (flour vermicelli), yee mien and etc. But one common in this noodle is that cooked thick gravy with vegetables, seafood and meat and pouring on top of the noodles. The version we tried was using wanton noodles.

Baby ABC Soup 迷你罗宋汤

The idea of making this Baby ABC soup has been in my mind for quite some time after seeing in Wendy (Table for two or more)'s blog. Today when i was doing my marketing at the Tesco, i saw cocktail potatoes and small red onion from India, immediately i decided to make this soup. The usual ABC soup we made is normal size of ingredients, but this Baby ABC soup is using all mini size of ingredients such as baby carrots, baby corns, baby tomatoes, baby potatoes and baby onions (not shallots)..
