This Is Not My Home!

Bean soup and Cornbread!
It doesn't get any better than this!

Yesterday was a hard day in our country.
I am so glad that God is the one in control.
And I am glad I am only passing through.
This is not my home.

Everybody was looking so forward to 2021.
I wonder what they think now!
Praying for President Trump and Vice President Pence.
Prayers for our Country and the upcoming leadership!

We still live in the best country there is and I am so thankful.
I pray things calm down but I honestly don't think we have seen the worst of it.
Yesterday was so hard to watch but back in the summer was hard to watch too.
And I have to question why it would be so easy to break in to the capitol.
I just think that is strange and questionable.
By the way, this is my helper!
Sweet Hunter cutting Jalapenos for poppers!
"What I love most about my home is who I share it with."

Seven Days of Gratitude

I know I am late on this gratitude thing.
I know traditionally it suppose around Thanksgiving but
honestly shouldn't it be everyday, all year long?

I am more thankful than I have ever been since I was sick.
I am thankful for everyday I wake up.

I read blogs like most read books.
I have often heard my Mom say that she doesn't have to travel anymore.
She can go anywhere in the world inside a book without ever leaving her home.
I have always wanted to be a reader like her but the only books I could
read is something to do with my life. I guess you could say to do books.
But blogs, take me away.
Thats where I discovered this YouTube.
And if you have seen my Facebook, you have probably seen where
I posted this video.
But I don't want to ever forget it.
It is 11 minutes and 46 seconds.
I have listened to it several times.
I need to listen to it every day.
It really spoke to me. He says it all
I hope you enjoy as much as I did!
Video is below!
Lord, don't ever let me forget to be grateful.

Beautiful Imperfections

This video is not to make us sad, but to make us stop and think.
I don't want to ever take the small things for granted.

Happy Thanksgiving From Me & Granny!

I went over to Granny's the other day and found her making another quilt! Imagine that! Thats pretty good for a 96 year old, isn't it? She gets so into her sewing that sometimes she forgets that anyone is there. She looked up at me while I was taking this video but she is so used to seeing me with a camera in my hand she doesn't think anything of it. She looks as though she is confused on this video but this is just how she concentrates. She has her way of doing things and if anyone tries to tell her different it doesn't set well. If you watch really close you will see that she just finished a strip and then she was going to add it to the rest of the quilt. She always leaves a pc. of fabric under her needle. I noticed that she just left that last square under the needle as she picked up the other end and started sewing it on the quilt. It is really amazing watching her work. I thought she had got it tangled underneath and I started to help her but she figured it out. There isn't anything special on this video except for one thing........Granny! Did you notice her hair? She got a permanent! I just thought you all would enjoy watching her working on another quilt during this Thanksgiving holiday. Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

Oh by the way, this quilt is already sold to my My Sweet Mom! A special thank you goes to Beth C. for sending Granny all this fabric!!!! You bloggers are great!
