Life

There are so many changes happening in my life right now. Some of my wishes are coming true, but not without sacrifice.

After battling cancer for two years, my father passed away one month ago today.
I saw him take his last breath and was finally at peace.
I put on his knitted blue hat because his body grew cold.
I made him the knit hat one cold evening before going to the hospital for the millionth time... and if I might add, knitted in record time.
Now, I have it in my possession to cherish.
I have to be honest, I don't like death. I understand it's a part of life, everyone and everything dies, but still...

I couldn't bring myself to write this post for the longest time, after all, it's a knitting blog and I try to keep it positive.
And, this is not happy news, but this is my life right now, and it's challenging me in more ways than one.
I do have some knitting, but I'll save it for a little while longer.

Happy Summer Solstice :-)

Bless your heart! I am so sorry! I cannot imagine what you feel. I don't like death either but like you, I know we all have that appointment. I don't like to see people suffer though. You are in my prayers.

We lost Randys Mom January 9. I don't like death either. I actually started blogging again to try to keep me busy. Praying for you.
