Another Christmas Card...
Another Christmas card, using the same conceptual design as my last post. Same stamp and some of the same paper...this time I used the negative cut-out of the DP. It's always good to make use of those leftovers!
Supplies used:
Papers from MME - Merry Days of Christmas
Stampendous - Holly Points stamp
Spellbinders - Asian Motifs die
Recollections - Christmas Border Stamps
Hope your weekend is going well, and the weather is all that you wish for...ha ha. Here, we are hoping for rain...crazy no?

Christmas in July.....
It's unbelievable how hot and dry this summer has been, and it has only just begun! Even the weeds are wilting....and the grass is burnt up and yellow. So thankful for air conditioning! I think it's time for a Christmas card....
Here we go with something nice and easy for a summer make, to maybe cool things down. A lovely Christmas image stamped in green with added copic colouring. Some pretty DP and some gold peel offs for a bit of trimmings. A simple make and quite festive, I think I might make some more of these.

Still on the ball....
Finally...my oldest brother turns 60 next month. It's been rather lonely, here in the sixties all by myself! Being the only girl in the family, I like to tell people that I'm his youngest sister...but that worked much better before the hip and the cane. Oh well.
This image from Dr Digi's House of Stamps seemed to fit the occasion, and you can find it here. I've coloured with markers and hand written the sentiment. Of course, the inside message won't be quite so positive, after all, it is my brother! lol
For the card background, I've used a crackle stamp.....to represent some wrinkles, and added a few patterns of washi tape. For embellishment...some paper candi, and some die cuts for the corner and the number 60.
Now for some challenges for my card:

CAS & Gold Embossing
The weather is definitely a mixed bag today...sunshine and snow flurries. It is supposed to be spring, however, winter is not yet letting go. On that note...how about a CAS Christmas card.
Something different for a change. Red and white, with gold heat embossing for the sentiment. Two stamps have been used...a Stämpelkällan corner stamp and Classic Greeting sentiment from Stampendous. The red die cut uses the Spellbinders Floral Ovals die, and because I really couldn't just leave it at that....there are 4 little gem stones for embellishment.
Here's hoping winter will soon be on it's way. Looking forward to flowers and green grass again! Thanks for stopping by. Have a great weekend.

Here's trouble....
Good morning all, the weekend has arrived....and now the kids are on their March break. I think this year we could even call it spring break....no flowers yet, but no snow either! Just hope it stays!
This is my DT card for Dr Digi's House of Stamps, and the image...Player One, is quite fitting don't you think? Playing video games is sure to be a favourite activity this week. Just in case you haven't yet heard, Dr Digi now has a Facebook page and a bi-weekly challenge. Be sure to check it out here.
After colouring, I've fussy cut the image, attaching with foam tabs to a die cut backing. I've used only one DP, but in a few different ways, edging with one of the markers that I coloured the chair. I hope you like the orange....I took a trip down memory lane. It did so remind me of a set we had years back. I'm always a fan of yellow, so the result is a nice sunny card. No embellishments, just some doodled faux stitching and a stamped sentiment to finish it off.

Big Hugs
While not everyone may have a special someone who would qualify as a Valentine, we all know someone who would appreciate a fun card with a big hug. This is my DT card for Dr Digi's House of Stamps, and I've made good use of this sweet image....Quackers. Such fun to colour and sure to bring a smile.
After colouring with markers, I've used my Spellbinders die and the 'out of the box' technique to cut out the image. An older DP from Memory Box pairs up well with the older heart stamp from Stämpelkällan, and still on a roll.....the sentiment is from an older Stampendous set. Isn't it great when you find just what you need in your older stash?
Hope you are keeping well, and warm. This weekend we are supposedly having temperatures of 4 or 5...with rain. I'm definitely not complaining, but I'm sure the skiers are. Oh well, they had lots of snow last year.

Season's Greetings
It's hard to believe that Christmas is only 2 weeks away. The sun is shining, the grass still has some green, and we're not really into winter clothing yet....I'm loving it!
Of course it means it's time for those Christmas cards, and I found I wasn't ready....so I've been busy with some simpler designs, which are somewhat quicker. I think I am the slowest when it comes to actually finishing cards!
This is a Stampendous stamp, purchased ages ago, and never used. It was just like Christmas when I found it. lol I heat embossed then partially coloured the leaves, adding red stickles for the berries.
I've cut and matted using two dies from the Spellbinders Decorative Labels Eight set. For the final touch, I've added the corner stamp from Stämpelkällan.
I'm off to physio shortly, and a nice walk in town while the weather is so wonderful.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

Cold Weather Fun
Would you believe...it's only 45 days until Christmas! The stores are all stocking up and Mother Nature's getting in on it too, with some colder temperatures for next week. This past week was lovely...nice and warm with a good bit of sunshine. Although I have to take it easy, I was able to get outside and do some cleanup in the gardens. The more that I can get done now, the less of a disaster it will be in the spring. They do say that this winter should be much milder than last year, and I'm sure hoping so!
But now for a Christmas card...I need to get busy there too...
Today I've used an older stamp from Stampendous, titled Pookie Skates, done up with water colours. If you look closely, you might be able to see the flocking that I've used to give it a little added interest. After cutting him out with the smaller Spellbinders die from the Fleur de Lis set, I inked the edges before then layering him up.
The rest of the card has been dressed up with some stenciled ornaments, and some sparkly metallic peel offs. Even the little circles are peel off stickers.
I know I won't be putting on any skates this winter, but the little ones will be looking forward to it. I do remember that once upon a time it was fun being out in the cold....but boy that was a long time ago!

Lots of techniques
Here we go with something different today, as I spread my wings and play with some different techniques. I had a fun time with this one and I quite like the results.
First I stamped the butterfly, heat embossing with gold embossing powder. Coloured it with glitter pens and then dry embossed the circle pattern with a Spellbinders die. Masked this with a circle cut from scrap paper, then laid a stencil over top and inked with distress ink. With stencil still in place, I stamped the flowers in black.
Always nice to try something new and so glad that Mr Mojo came to visit. lol
Have a nice day and thanks for visiting.

Bubbles Anyone?
What a beautiful day we had today. The best one so far this year. We still needed a sweater, but actually were able to enjoy a coffee outside in the sunshine. It's probably just a teaser, but hopefully soon....
Today's card uses an image from QKR Stampede, titled Bubbles, and it's sure to bring a smile as it brings back memories of younger days. Of course I'm not meaning being chased by a bear, but rather, playing with bubbles.
I've made a frame for this one, using the left over piece of paper from a die cut, which would be the negative. As you can see, I've used the 'out of the box' technique again, for cutting out the image after colouring with copics. The sentiment is from Stampendous, and was ideal for this card. Nice and simple design.

A Magnolia gift bag
Greetings...on this cold winter's day. At least the winds have died down, and so far...no snow! I have to go out today, though I would prefer to hibernate, and perhaps I'll have a peek in the local stores. I really do need to get cracking on some Christmas shopping. Hopefully I will find some wonderful ideas when I go to the One of a Kind Show this weekend with my daughters.
For now though, I do have my Mom's gift purchased and I needed something special to wrap it in. So what better than a brown paper bag...with a few trimmings. I find these come in very handy, and can be re-gifted in future years.

This is the front, and you lift the framed image up to open. The paper bag is cut to the desired size, and then a folded topper is made, to be attached to the finished back.
This is the finished back.
Here is a close up of the image, coloured with copics and trimmed with some glitter.
These are quite fun to make and are well received by the recipients....something a little different.
Supplied used:
Magnolia stamp - Secret Tilda
Basic Grey papers - Eskimo Kisses collection
Stampendous sentiment stamp - Hugs for All
Spellbinders die - Labels Eight
Glitter paper, snowflake stickers, gems and bow - all from my stash
I realized as I put that list together, I've had nearly all that product for ages...it could almost be vintage! (lol) Thanks for visiting, and here's hoping you have a wonderful day.

A Little Bit Vintage
Good morning all! More of that white stuff again today, which is great for the kids and kids at heart. Me...I just look outside and think COLD, and my bones agree! So, I'm in hibernation mode whenever possible.
I think snow should come for Christmas and then leave, but the weatherman disagrees, so I figured I'd go with another Christmas card...this time with the lovely Christmas Door image from Just Inklined. I've tried for a bit of a vintage look this time, with lots of DI for all the edging.
Other supplies used:
My Mind's Eye - 'Tis the Season paper collection
Marble Texture Cube stamp by Stampendous..for background
Spellbinders - Decorative Labels Eight die
Whimsy - Corner Dies Set
Thanks for stopping by! Best wishes for the New Year!

A Touch of Humour
Hi everyone. I thought I'd try to lighten things up a bit today with a bit of humour. With the cooler weather now on the way, the southern beaches and resorts will soon be getting their northern visitors....I even know of a few!
This little cutie is all ready to head south, and should prove quite the attraction! As you can see, lots of distress ink...around the image, for the stenciled flowers and also on the card blank which I both sponged and stamped. Another stencil was used to create the zig-zag edging, and you'll find some added glitter for the flower centres and the image edge.
Supplies used:
Beach Baby Jayme digi image from Crissy Armstrong
Mature sentiment stamp from Art Impressions
Marble Texture Cube from Stampendous
Deckled Rectangles die from Spellbinders
Thanks for visiting and have a crafty day!

Pink and Girlie for Mommy
Good morning all....I think I lost a day this week, and I almost forgot this post! Today is the start of a new challenge at Charisma, and this time such an easy one....Pink and Girlie. I've made a card up for my granddaughter to give to her Mom this weekend for Mother's Day.
(with 5 digis of the winners choice)
and
(offering 2 lucky winners a $5 voucher each for their online shop)
Using some Echo Park paper from the Victoria Gardens pad, and the Lacey Ovals die from Spellbinders, I've opted to made a window card.
The sentiments are from the Hugs for All set from Stampendous, and the sweet little image (Emily Hug a Heart) is from one of our sponsors....Digi Doodle Shop.
The little butterfly is made with an embossing stencil....something I purchased ages ago but forget all about! I keep meaning to make a list of all my hidden goodies, but that hasn't happened yet!
Then, just a few punched flowers and some sparkly gems to finish it off.
This week's generous sponsors are
(with 5 digis of the winners choice)
and
