I made this one up before I left for my wee holiday, and tonight had a play with posting it on my iPad.  Having a lazy evening.  Clouds have come in and we might or might not get a thunderstorm overnight.  The weather has been great, and we are trying really hard not to say it is too hot! Lol.

So here we have a stamp from Crissy Armstrong, coloured with water colours, and I've added a few left over bits of Christmas DP.  then a  few peel-offs for embellishment, and another one is now ready for the holiday rush.

Birthday morning tea...

You may have thought this card would be for a guy, but no no no!  In this case it is for the lady of the house.  Hubby dearest is bringing her a cup of tea in bed, and who knows what other surprises may be in store.  This fun image, titled Weekend Walter, can be found over at Dr Digi's House of Stamps.  I even know who will be the lucky recipient ....my brother's wife.  lol   I'm sure she will get quite the chuckle.

 Quite a simple card design, with only a few pearls for embellishment.  Once again I've used my copics for the colouring.  Some rub-ons and then a sentiment to finish it off.

Hope your weekend is grand and the weather behaves.  I'm heading away for a few days with my Mom, so I'm hoping for some good weather too.  At least it shouldn't snow!!

It must be spring.....

Yes, it really must be spring....the birds are back!  Such a nice sound to wake up to when the windows can be opened.  This card uses the Birdhouse Border stamp from Victorine Stamps, suitable for so many occasions.

I've added a make-shift trellis, using paper scraps and some gold peel-offs, and them some pretty flowers and some die-cut greenery.

We have a nice sunny day today, and my gardens on in!  Thanks to the help from my nephew.  I might be able to put my feet up and enjoy....in between doctor appointments.  Hope all is well with you, and thanks for visiting.

Playtime....

 

Sometimes I need a thank you card, and flowers and cute just don't really work if it's for a guy.  So I had a play and made up something a little different.  

This is the Scots Pine stamp from Art-Kure, and I've heat embossed using a green ink pad and clear embossing powder.  This allowed me to add a background with distress inks, using the negative cut-out from a Spellbinders die as a stencil.

Otherwise, just some washi tapes, a sentiment, a few black gemstones and some doodling using a black marker.

Feeling old?

Good morning everyone.  Are you feeling old today?  I'm sure this sentiment was written especially for me, but I'm sure there are others who feel the same.  Today, my DT card for Dr Digi's House of Stamps uses both a saying and an image from the shop.  With his candle, it looks like Derek is all set for the coming thunder storms and possible power outage.  That hot water bottle is a left over from winter, but it still provides added comfort for the old bones.

A nice simple card today.  Another one for the guys.  The image is once again coloured with copics.

Lovely temperatures have finally arrived, and thanks to my nephew...my gardens are nearly ready to plant.  It seems a bit early, but I'll take my chances.  Hope you all have a wonderful weekend, and Happy Mothers Day for those of you celebrating this weekend.  Have a good one!

April Showers

'Tis the weekend again, and it looks to be a good one, weather wise.  I need to find some energy now to try and get out in the garden.  It won't be easy this year, but I'll give it a good try!

So, in celebration of spring, with it's April showers and May flowers, this little stamp from Tina Wenke is sure to please.  Copics were my colouring medium with a bit of glitter pen for a few highlights. 

The mage is cut out with the Scalloped Ovals die, and then matted with the Floral Ovals die...both from Spellbinders.  Some pretty trims from my stash to coordinate with the image and some hand drawn leaves and  liquid pearls to complement the flower.
