Do not disturb....
Ah, it's a dog's life! This pooch really knows how to get comfortable. Today I've coloured up the Sofa So Good image from Dr Digi's House of Stamps. This looks just like my daughter's dog, a Weimaraner with those long lanky legs, and it really does sprawl all over the sofa....just like this.
I've coloured with copics, using a Spellbinders die to cut it out. Just some washi tape and a few buttons for embellishment. The sentiment stamp is from Technique Tuesday.

On the road again.....
A lovely weekend, weather-wise, plus I had my granddaughter visiting for the weekend, which was a nice treat. Always amazes me how much they change, not just physically, but their personalities too, as they grow up.
Today, I have added another page to my travel journal. Getting prepared for the new me....after my hip surgery!
Here, I have used the image provided for the Rick St Denis progressive challenge, and it sure made me smile. I must admit, I don't want to see any actual mice on my travels, but sometimes we do come upon some unusual characters...no?
The papers and washi tape are both from the Bo Bunny Primrose collection, while the sentiment is from Technique Tuesday.
Once again, thanks for stopping by.

Over the moon...
Some really good news....I have my surgery date for my hip replacement! I'm really looking forward to the new me, and doing all the things that I took for granted....until I couldn't. If anyone has any advice or helpful hints, please let me know.
Today's card uses an image provided for the second part of the progressive challenge on the Sweet Pea Facebook page. After colouring with copics, I've covered the image with glue and added glamour dust, for lots and lots of sparkle.
The background paper was chosen to co-ordinate with the colours used, but then I've used the fancy Ankara Lace die from Cheery Lynn to bring in the colours of the night sky. A number of gold peel-offs provide a little more glam.
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you enjoyed your visit. Take care.

Great expectations
Just when you thought you'd seen and heard everything....here is the newest contestant for the Christmas talent show, with his take on the Little Drummer Boy. This is a new image from Dr Digi's House of Stamps, titled One Man Stu and his Magic Kazoo. I just couldn't resist making it into a Christmas card, and I know who will be the recipient too!
It's always nice to colour an image and know beforehand which DP you will use. It sure helps shorten the project time! Copics are the medium again today and the DP is from the Basic Grey Nordic Holiday collection. The sentiment is also from Dr Digi, and I've coloured and fussy cut it out. Just a few sparkly snow flakes as embellishments as this will have to go in the post.
Enjoy your summer days while they are here, as Christmas and the cold weather is not that far off!

Days of summer...
Good morning. Another lovely sunny day today, following a good rain yesterday. Taking the car in for an oil change later, then I'll go for a long slow walk at the mall and a Starbucks. Not very exciting but at least I can still get out and about.
Today's card is for my granddaughter who turned 13 yesterday. She's now a teenager which is definitely awesome. The image is coloured with a combination of Copics and Spectrum Noir markers, and the die cuts have been coloured to match. The butterfly border is actually washi tape, and this time I have added some buttons for embellishment. The image is from Lacy Sunshine, titled Rory Playing Hookey, and works great with the sentiment.
Hope you enjoyed your visit, and have a lovely day!

Flowers in her hair....
Good morning! Our weather is beautiful right now....hot but not too humid. Perfect for those enjoying a bit of holiday...especially the campers. I'm not going anywhere, just taking it easy and visiting with family, and waiting for my surgery. It is now to be the end of October, but I am still hoping for an earlier cancellation.
Today's card uses an image from Sweet Pea Stamps, titled Forget Me Nots, by Norma Burnell. Coloured with copics, I've then added some pearls for the flower centers.
I finally made use of these pretty papers from the Basic Grey Out of Print collection, one for the background and one for the die cut frame. I was quite surprised with how the paper gives the frame a metallic look.
The die used is from Joy Crafts (Lacey Square Frame) and the sentiment is from Verve Stamps (Birthday Surprise).
