May your Christmas be merry....
Hmmm, won't be long now! The little ones are getting excited, with big smiles similar to this little guy, while the adults are probably still rushing around trying to get things done. Of course some people are super organized and have been ready for ages....that is so annoying! ha ha
This is a KennyK image coloured with markers and mounted on some festive DP from Wild Rose Studio. Bright festive colours and a perky little elf....seemed like the perfect card for a friend of mine. Someone with a great sense of humor who always makes me smile.
Merry Christmas everyone, and wishing you all the best for the New Year. Many thanks for stopping by and having a peek at some of my posts, and thanks too for the lovely comments.
And now for some fun challenges for my card:

Just a few snowflakes
Well, the big day is almost here and still no snow....yay! Although others won't be so happy, it's like Mother Nature is smiling on me....giving me more time to recover from my surgery. I can still get out and about without fear of slipping and sliding. Although we have had snow-less Christmases before, I think this is the first that I recall where the grass is still mostly green, rather than brown.
So, I am more than happy to make a Christmas card with a bit of snow in it, and some colourful snowmen in the DP. The image is a rubber stamp from LOTV, coloured with water colours, with some flocking for the white trim on the hat, and liquid applique for the falling snow.
Some of the supplies used:
Crate Paper - Snow Day collection
Spellbinders die - Labels Twenty Two
Elizabeth Craft Designs die - Merry Christmas
Martha Stuart punches - Alpine Snowflake & Pine Branch
Gold peel-off border
Hoping all is well with you and yours, and your holiday preparations are nearly complete! Thanks for stopping by.

Thumbs up and ready to go!
It won't be long now, until the big guy is sliding down the chimney. He's thumbs up and ready to go! This is one of the new Christmas digis from Dr Digi's House of Stamps....titled Simply Santa. Fun to colour and sure to be a hit with the little ones. The sentiment is also one of Dr Digi's creations and can be found here. Now, if I could just speed things up a bit so that I could be ready for the big day too!
Other supplies used:
Copics and liquid applique for image
Memory Box die - Frosty Border
Spellbinder die - Labels Twenty Two
Papers from my stash and scraps
Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!

Special delivery....
Well, we know the little ones like the snow, but the older ones (like me!)....not so much. Looking at the forecast, I don't think I have to worry about a white Christmas, in fact the grass is still rather green and some are wondering if it might need another cut. Wouldn't that be something!
One of my grandson's delivers papers, so one guess where this card is going....
This is another fun image from Kenny K, don't you love the smile? After colouring with markers, I've cut him out then attached him to the snowflake dp with foam tabs. The sentiment and additional stamping all uses stamps from the Inkadinkado - Foliage Trails stamp set. With just a bit of paper candi and paper contrast, it makes for a nice bright card...all ready to go.

Here, I have heat embossed with gold embossing powder. Doesn't it show nice against the red card stock? So there is just stamping on this one, and a bit of gold pen for the edging.

Inkadinkado - Foliage Trails
Hero Arts - Holiday Sayings

The colours of Christmas
Another card that was fairly quick to do, at least once I got my head around it. lol
This time it's a stamp from Stampers Anonymous ...Joyful, and I have heat embossed with the WOW Sparkling Embossing Powder. I've cut and matted with the Spellbinders Labels Twenty Two die set, giving the edges a bit of gold pen.
Some additional stamping is added to the DP along with a few gemstones, before adding the bow. A classy look that is relatively quick to finish. I should do more of these!
Hope your Christmas preparations are coming along and you are better organized than me. lol.

Season's Greetings
It's hard to believe that Christmas is only 2 weeks away. The sun is shining, the grass still has some green, and we're not really into winter clothing yet....I'm loving it!
Of course it means it's time for those Christmas cards, and I found I wasn't ready....so I've been busy with some simpler designs, which are somewhat quicker. I think I am the slowest when it comes to actually finishing cards!
This is a Stampendous stamp, purchased ages ago, and never used. It was just like Christmas when I found it. lol I heat embossed then partially coloured the leaves, adding red stickles for the berries.
I've cut and matted using two dies from the Spellbinders Decorative Labels Eight set. For the final touch, I've added the corner stamp from Stämpelkällan.
I'm off to physio shortly, and a nice walk in town while the weather is so wonderful.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

Sparkle and shine...
Something a little different today...without a stamped or digi image. Just papers and dies, and of course some sparkle. The DP is from my stash, with some fancy cut-work.
By using both parts of the die cut DP and spacing them apart.....it left me room to stamp a greeting. I outlined the cut edges in gold, adding some Icicle Stickles to the open work above, which gives the idea of a frosty window.
The bottom corner is adorned with a nice glittery deer and a bit of gold stamping. Quite pleased with the result, and quite easy to do.
The dies used:
Marianne's die - Anja Edge
Dee's Distinctively die - Deear 1
Hope everyone is keeping well and not too busy....

Picture perfect...
With Christmas just around the corner, Santa decided he needed his picture taken, and his friend Frosty was glad to oblige. Another fun new image from Dr Digi's House of Stamps....this one is titled Selfie Santa. How cute is that, and so in keeping with the times!
Another simple design, making use of some of my scraps. The sentiment uses a die from Elizabeth Craft Design and some gold sparkly paper.
Although many people will be hoping for a white Christmas, I must admit that it's not on my wish list. We've been having milder temperatures, and I'm hoping that lasts until spring! Guess I'm one of those 'bah humbug' people.....
Take care and thanks for popping by.

Little Sweetie
Getting there....another Christmas card done. Soon it will be time to mail them. Thankfully we have no snow yet, but it is definitely colder now...and might soon feel like Christmas is coming. I hope to get some shopping done soon...maybe next week. I really don't like crowds, and I'm really quite stuck for ideas!
I've made good use of the freebie image, provided by Aurora Wings on their Facebook page. Such a sweetie, and fun to colour with my copics. Of course it doesn't show in the photo, but I've also added lots of sparkle to the garland on her dress.
I've used a couple of Christmas papers along with the Spellbinders Heirloom Ornaments die, adding a bit of stamped greenery from an older set by Darcie's Stamps. It always feels so good to use one of those hidden gems that you've had for a while.
Take care and thanks for stopping by.

Thanks for the little things...
Okay, we had our first snowfall last night and it wasn't in the forecast. Always a surprise to wake up and see the white stuff. Must be because I went out and bought a new snow shovel yesterday. I wanted to be prepared, but..... Luckily it was only an inch or two, and it is slowly disappearing on it's own.
So, how about a nice warm sunny card today, as a reminder of warmer days.
Water colours again today, using an older stamp from Whipper Snapper designs, titled Hello Kitty. A very simple card design, playing with some nice bright colours and black for contrast. A nice way to use up some of those scrap papers hanging about.
Winter and Christmas may be on their way....but then again, so is spring! Thanks for stopping by.

Is it...or isn't it?
Sometimes you just want to say Hi, or give a little encouragement. Today, my card for Dr Digi's House of Stamps, is using the Toolshed Ted image. I'm sure he's been putting his gardens to bed for the winter (just like me!), but just wants to save this one little plant for his windowsill. Of course, he looks a little puzzled....perhaps he's just trying to decide if it's really a plant, or just a weed.
As you can see, I've coloured and then fussy cut the image, before adhering with some foam squares, and this time I've framed him in the negative of a die cut. This is the Spellbinders Labels Twenty die, and I've traced both inside and outside with brown pen. I've used a Stämpelkällan stamp for the grasses, and a bit of sunshine for a nice outdoorsy feeling. The doodling at the top of the card is actually made with a stitching template.
We've been spoiled lately with some lovely sunshine and mild temperature, but it does look like that is coming to an end. I guess that will mean more time for crafting, no?
Take care everyone, and thanks for stopping by.

Believe....
Good news today....I saw the surgeon and everything is progressing well. I'm still using the cane, and I have more physio starting Friday, but at least according to my granddaughter...I look 'normal' again. Out of the mouths of babes...don't you just love 'em!
So, with Christmas soon upon us, here I am with another Christmas card.
Today I've coloured up a sweet little image from Robyn's Fetish....something that I won a while back. Once again, copics are my colouring medium, with some stickles and liquid pearls to create some added interest.
The DP is from the Basic Grey Nordic Holiday collection...definitely an oldie. I've used the Curvy Snowflake die, from Simon Says Stamp....adding some stickles to the open areas for a bit more sparkle. The ribbon is something I picked up from a local craft store.
Hope all is well with you, and your Christmas cards are coming along too. The weather was unbelievable today, as I was driving around with my car window open....but I'm sure that will change soon. I'm going to be getting my snow tires on this week...with luck, that will keep the snow away!

Cold Weather Fun
Would you believe...it's only 45 days until Christmas! The stores are all stocking up and Mother Nature's getting in on it too, with some colder temperatures for next week. This past week was lovely...nice and warm with a good bit of sunshine. Although I have to take it easy, I was able to get outside and do some cleanup in the gardens. The more that I can get done now, the less of a disaster it will be in the spring. They do say that this winter should be much milder than last year, and I'm sure hoping so!
But now for a Christmas card...I need to get busy there too...
Today I've used an older stamp from Stampendous, titled Pookie Skates, done up with water colours. If you look closely, you might be able to see the flocking that I've used to give it a little added interest. After cutting him out with the smaller Spellbinders die from the Fleur de Lis set, I inked the edges before then layering him up.
The rest of the card has been dressed up with some stenciled ornaments, and some sparkly metallic peel offs. Even the little circles are peel off stickers.
I know I won't be putting on any skates this winter, but the little ones will be looking forward to it. I do remember that once upon a time it was fun being out in the cold....but boy that was a long time ago!

Maturity...
Can you believe it? The weekend is here again! Now for some of us, that is just one more thing to remember...lol. Today I've made a fun birthday card using the Night Shift Shaun image from Dr Digi's House of Stamps. Sure to bring a smile (or not...) when they read the inside.
A nice simple design, using DP from MME and some Spellbinder dies. A little bit of doodling and some paper candi to finish it off. The wording is actually part of a stamp, which I cut apart. The finale is inside....("and to teenagers everywhere, you're old!") This is a locally produced stamp which doesn't have an online store.
May you have a wonderful weekend...stay cozy and warm.

Age is just a number...
Hi there again. Halloween is now over, so for sure winter will soon be on it's way. So glad that I got my surgery out of the way before the snow. Now I'll just have to be really careful and make sure both feet stay firmly on the ground. Of course, I could just hibernate until spring comes again. lol
So here I've made a birthday card using Halloween colours of orange and black. I had some inky fun with distress inks and a couple of stencils. A piece of washi tape and some stamping in black provide a nice contrast. Something a little different, and suitable for just about any adult's birthday.
Stamps and stencils used:
Clear Scraps - Numbers stencil
Tim Holtz - Dot Fade stencil
Inkadinkado - Happy Birthday stamp
Pocket Watch stamp - unknown (sorry)
Thanks for stopping by. Until next time.....take care.

King of the castle...
Ta da...I'm back, with my first DT card for a while. Today I've used another fun image from Dr Digi's House of Stamps, titled Seaside Sidney. It would be perfect for that someone who may be getting older, but refuses to grow up. Definitely a guy card! Do you know anyone like that? lol
Once again, I've coloured with copics, and some glossy accents for his specs. Lots of DI on the background along with a crackle stamp for a weathered look. A bit of ribbon and some buttons for the trim and then a sentiment in a sunny yellow. Sure makes one wish for those sunny days again.

A Dancing Ghoul
Hello everyone. Hope you are all keeping warm, now that the cooler weather is upon us. The leaves are now starting to fall, the gardens are a mess, and soon the little goblins will be looking for candy.
My card today uses an image from SLS Lines, and it's all done up with Halloween colours. Such a dashing fellow....looks like he's ready to party and dance the night away. I wonder who will be his lucky date!
Don't get too excited...and don't eat too many candies.

Happy Holidays
Well, I made it down to my craft room, but I'm not really there yet with much motivation. As I have a number of stamps and images coloured up, I think perhaps I'll try to make them into cards. Hopefully Mr Mojo will be along soon! Perhaps he will pick up those buttons that I spilled on the floor.....not allowed to bend yet. I see a potential for a big mess!!
Here I have used water colours to colour this Simply Sassy stamp from Funky Kits. The papers were from my leftover bits, and just a little bow for embellishment. Christmas colours of red and green, with some gold metallic marker to provide the edging, and its all ready to go. Won't be long now, until the holiday season is here, as fall is definitely upon us.
Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy your day!

Bicycle Boy
Good morning everyone. Still awaiting the energy to go downstairs to my craft room, but the thought is there. I've now transitioned to the cane, rather than the walker, so at least it is now feasible. Maybe today??? In the meantime, here is a card that I thankfully finished before my surgery, as my grandson's birthday is coming up quickly!
This Kenny K image is perfect for the birthday boy and was a delight to colour up with my copics. Nice and simple, with minimum embellishment. I used the Spellbinder's Postage Stamp die behind the image, and added the bit of line/stitch work to the image to make it look like a stamp. I think it worked.
Thanks for visiting, and hoping all is well with you.

On the move....
Well, I'm back...... I'm not ready to get into the making of cards yet, but I'm finally up to posting one that I made before my surgery. The hip is doing good, but speedy is not my middle name. Still needing the walker and the pain meds, but things are progressing.....there's a light at the end of the tunnel. Wish I could make use of one of these to get around....
This card uses an image from Kenny K (Scooter), coloured with copics. Complementing DP in shades of brown makes for a great fall birthday card, for a little guy I know who is chock full of vim and vigor!
Hope you are all keeping well...thanks for visiting.
