Greetings. We're still waiting on spring, but maybe tomorrow it will get here. The snow is slowly disappearing, but we still have ice to melt so it will probably be a while. Mr Skunk was back this evening, looking for grubs....I'm sure he will do quite a number on the lawn. Hopefully we'll still have one when he's finished!
So, again I've gone with a warm weather themed card with lots of bright colours. This is the pretty Village Pump image from Just Inklined. I've coloured with copics and coloured pencils, and Pan Pastels for the sky, and then I've made good use of the Spellbinders die - Creatopia Frame 2, for both cutting and matting the image.
For the very first time, I've used a digital paper for my background. It is a freebie design from Bearly Mine and you can still find it here. I was really surprised how nice it printed out...I think I may have to go shopping!

Bubbly Bath
Well, it's Saturday again, and here I am with another DT card for Dr Digi House of Stamps.
Everyone knows that a good hot bubbly bath is a great way to start the weekend. As you can see, it provides the perfect opportunity to relax and peruse the paper for coupons and ads for more crafting supplies.....and no, this isn't a selfie!!! This is another awesome image titled Bath Time Deirdery, and you can find it here.

Smile....spring is on it's way!
Good morning all...and maybe it is too! It looks like the weather is finally going to break. The forecast is actually showing temperatures above freezing. Won't that be an awesome change!
Today we also have a new challenge for you at Paper Crafting Journey, and it's everyone's favourite ANYTHING GOES. Be sure to check out what the rest of the DT is sharing, and hopefully they will inspire you to get your crafting hat on too!

I'm still working on the power of positive thinking, so once again you will see nice warm spring colours, both in my copic colouring and my choice of papers and embellishments. I think it might finally be working too!
Supplies used:
Image from Elizabeth Bell - Click
Papers from Cosmo Cricket - Delovely collection
Spellbinders die - Fleur de Lis Rectangles

Clean and Simple in Green
Well, it's that time again....for another challenge at Charisma Cardz. Nice and easy, we are looking for cards with a Clean And Simple style. So today, there's no colouring on my card....just some stamping and some stenciling.
This is a new stamp that I've added to my collection (Scots Pine), and it has such lovely detail. No ribbons or embellishments, just a stenciled border for a bit of added interest and a pretty sentiment. I think I'll have to do more of these....really CAS!

Take time to smell the....strawberries
Well, we got a lucky break last night. They were calling for another good dumping of snow along with freezing rain. Although we did get some, thankfully not in the amounts they were calling for. A pleasant surprise, for a change.
So let's go with a change of season. Anyone for some nice fresh strawberries? Here's a delicious image from Just Inklined, titled Strawberry Pot, sure to make you think of warmer weather. Coloured with copics, and then some DI on the background die-cut and doily.
In case you are wondering...that die-cut is very fiddly. Be sure to layer a piece of wax paper in-between your paper and the die before cutting.
Supplies used:
Paper from Paper Mania - Burleigh Blue collection
Spellbinders die - Decorative Labels Twenty Seven
Other - ribbon, doily, paper candi, corner punch
Hope you have a wonderful weekend. Stay safe!!

Keep calm...spring is here?
Well, I guess it's spring....somewhere anyway. We actually have some bare patches, but there is still plenty of snow and ice that needs to melt. Temperatures are hovering around the freezing mark, which is a huge improvement, but we still have a ways to go.
So this is how I spent my winter....ha ha ha! Not too likely....I would have frozen to death. It will be so nice to put all the sweaters away. Today I've gone with water colours again, for this pretty stamp from Sparkle Creations. Nice soft colours....still working on those warmer weather thoughts.
Hope you have a wonderful day, and thanks for stopping by.

Sunshine Colours
Well, we had a nice sunny day, but still too cold. According to the calendar, it's nearly spring...ha ha. Our snow and ice has to disappear before I would consider it spring, but at least we now have a few bare patches, so there is hope. Although I would like for it to just disappear overnight, in truth, that would result in a lot of flooding, so I will try to be patient.
I'm not sure when I'll be able to get to the gardens or to cleaning up the winter damages....or even when I'll see flowers again, so how about a card with some nice sunshiny colours...
I played with water colours again for this stamped image (Pink Ribbon Tilda), working with green and yellow. Thinking spring thoughts with a nice sunny card!
Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely day!

Days gone by....
Good morning! It will be so nice when the temperatures stay above freezing for more than a few hours at a time. Any melting of snow and ice just freezes back up again, and of course, we can't forget those additional bits of fluffy white stuff that keep on coming to visit stay. Old Man Winter was sure in a grumpy mood this year! Does he not know that he's overstayed his welcome?
So now, for my DT card for Just Inklined using a rather nostalgic image, Stepping Out. No snow in this picture, though they are still dressed for the cold, and I've gone with a monochromatic colour theme...this time with Spectrum Noir markers. I only have the brown set so far, but they did work beautifully!
For the frame, I used the Spellbinders Creatopia Frame 2 die, colouring it with distress stains and inks for a vintage look. Found some papers that followed the theme in the Printery Collection from Prima, adding black ribbons and lace for contrast. The gold watch and corner piece add a little bit of class for the final touch.
Hope you are all keeping well and thinking spring thoughts! Thanks for stopping by.

A Big Celebration
Loved the chance to put all of those wild and wonderful colours together....copics again of course, and my favourite 'out of the box' technique. Had to keep the embellishments simple, as it is for my father-in-law, but the image didn't really need much else. Just some buttons, some gems and a fancy die-cut. The sentiments are cut out with the Whimsy - Birthday Sentimentables die, while the 90 has been made with a stencil.
Thanks for stopping by, and have a wonderful weekend!

Birthday Girl
Hello again.
Today I have a card made with a sweet image from Saturated Canary. She's coloured with copics in pink and green, and works nicely with some floral paper and a pretty ribbon bow.
I'm posting this card while on a bit of vacation , so I'm not able to provide all the particulars this time. As I am an early riser and the weather isn't exactly the best,I thought I would give this a go on my iPad. It takes longer, but I did it!
Take care everyone and think spring! Thanks for visiting.

Fancy Folds with Just Inklined
Hurray...February is behind us! Now it is March and time for this month's blog hop at Just Inklined. Our theme this month is for some Fancy Folds, so some of us really had to put our thinking caps on.
Remember to leave your comments on each blog as you travel along, for your chance for one of this month's two spot prizes. Now, grab your coffee, put your feet up and enjoy!
Here you go, with the blog hop order:
Today I've gone with a centre step card...lots of folds there! I wanted to use the Heart Wreath image which I think is lovely for an Anniversary card. As you can see, it's an over-sized card and I've added lots of bits and bobs
Here is a close up of the image, which I've coloured with copics and then fussy cut.
Some of the supplies used:
Small Exotic Butterfly die from Cheery Lynn
Fence die from Impression Obsession
Madera Corner die from Memory Box
Happy Anniversary stamp from Stampabilities
Flowers from Wild Orchid
Papers, gems and peel-offs from my stash
Hopefully all goes well with this pre-scheduled post, as I will be away for a bit of holiday. Somewhere where there is no snow!!! Take care everyone and have a great day!
