Today, I've gone with a Thank You card, using an image from Sweet Pea stamps, titled Raindragon. He sure looks happy, walking in the rain....which would be a pleasant change from the heat and humidity that we are experiencing right now.
Something a little different on this one. The paper at the bottom of the card is cut in strips and attached with a layer of double faced tape. Then I've sprinkled glitter, which of course sticks to the tape showing between the layers. This creates a kind of watery look....as of course it's raining.

The best of luck with your surgery, I know exactly what you mean when you say we take things for granted until something goes wrong as I've had problems with my back and sometimes it's unbelievable how much pain the human body can create. I wish you a speedy recovery so you can feel like yourself again!
