Thinking Spring

Greetings.  We're still waiting on spring, but maybe tomorrow it will get here.  The snow is slowly disappearing, but we still have ice to melt so it will probably be a while.  Mr Skunk was back this evening, looking for grubs....I'm sure he will do quite a number on the lawn.  Hopefully we'll still have one when he's finished!

So, again I've gone with a warm weather themed card with lots of bright colours.  This is the pretty Village Pump image from Just Inklined.  I've coloured with copics and coloured pencils, and Pan Pastels for the sky, and then I've made good use of the Spellbinders die - Creatopia Frame 2, for both cutting and matting the image.

For the very first time, I've used a digital paper for my background.  It is a freebie design from Bearly Mine and you can still find it here.  I was really surprised how nice it printed out...I think I may have to go shopping!

Some challenges for my card:

  2. This is a striking design. The colors are so bold and the composition of your focal image keeps the eye from "wandering". Great design that is beautifully executed. Thanks for slipping this under our door here at 613 Avenue Create!
