Fall Flashback * Decoupaged Pumpkins

Since fall has pretty much arrived here in the mid-state of Tennessee, with the cool air breezes and the leaves starting to change, thought I'd share one of my favorite posts from fall last year.

I love decorating for fall. It's only second to Christmas as my favorite time of year. Last year, I took part in a Pinterest inspired crop and created some decoupaged pumpkins that I still just love looking at.

Here was my inspiration....decoupaged pumpkins.
Source:  Tatertots and Jello

And here are my finished decoupaged pumpkins. I really wish I had taken pics along the way but honestly, it's a very easy process.  And the tutorial at Tatertots and Jello is so well done, why reinvent the wheel, right!

I just made it work for me. I purchased the inexpensive pumpkins you can find at Michaels and used those. I didn't remove the stem as her tutorial showed. I just left it on and decoupaged up to the stem. Then I added some extra stuff around the stem for more fluff.  This was just really things I already had on hand.

I added some gold and brown tulle from my gift wrapping stash, some eucalyptus leaves that I had on hand, some sticks and some velvet leaves I found on clearance at Michael's for just a few cents.

I love my leopard print pumpkins!

If you like today's post, be sure to check back tomorrow. I'll share another Pinterest inspired fall project that was a lot of fun!

Thanks for stopping by!

Halloween Treats *Elle's Studio*

Are you looking for some last minute Halloween treat ideas? Thought I'd share a few things that I created using Elle's Studio wonderful Halloween papers! They were so quick and easy and anyone can do it!

Take a look at these oh-so-cute treat bags!
Now Elle has these available in a wonderful pdf file that all you have to do is print out.
You can find them here.
I took the digital files to Staples and had them print it on regular paper and they came out amazing! Whatever they use to print, gave it a really nice sheen to it, even on just regular stock paper! Then you cut them out, adhere the sides and bottom, I also cut the top with pinking shears and you have an adorable treat bag to hand out.
And these candy poppers were so much fun to create!
How fun would it be to send the kids off to school with these? Or hand these out to special friends who come to visit! These were created using Elle's wonderful Halloween papers found here.

Again, I had the papers printed a Staples and they were perfect! You simply use toilet paper rolls or paper towel rolls cut into thirds, fill with candy, wrap with tissue paper, tie the ends, fringe-cut the ends and then wrap the Elle's Studio Halloween papers around and adhere. I added some ribbon at the ends and even a skull or a spider. I loved how they turned out!

On to the Treat Boxes!

These little boxes were so fun to make too!
Again, I used the Elle's Studio Halloween Papers found here and also the adorable Halloween Circle Tags found here.

I used a box template which I have made available on Elle's Studio blog (you can find it here, scroll down to the photo of the boxes and right underneath you'll see the link Elle has provided to get the pdf of the template).

Once you cut them out, you adhere the edges together and then decorate using ribbon, tulle, and tags! So much fun to give out!

I hope you've found a few fun ideas you can use this weekend! These were really so quick and easy to do. Even easier with sending the files to Staples for printing...try it!

Have a fun Friday!
