CR84FN and Mojo Monday {Hello Sunshine}

The past week or so, I have been checking out the awesome colours at CR84FN. I love the combo of  Pink, Orange and Yellow together but I always struggle with it.  I don't know why! So I was determined to make a card and to try my best with the colours.

I needed a sketch to get my creative vibe going and I decided to look at the Mojo Sketch this week.  The Sketch could be a square or a circle.  I decided to opt for the square version and suddenly those strips of paper in the background became my inspiration for the colours. I pulled out 3-12x12" pieces of polka dot designer paper from my Bold Brights Pack in Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo and Tangerine Tango.  I cut one strip off each piece and fit it onto my square card (I used the Confetti White Cardstock as a base).  Then I sat there and thought, what image should I used?

{Supplies Used}
Stamps: Sentiment from Stampendous
Papers: Bold Brights Pack (SU!), Whisper White, Confetti White
Inks: Melon Mambo
Tools: Daisies #2 Die Sizzix, Big Shot, Button, Oval Punches (SU!)

Then the daisy die came to mind and I used a small yellow button from my stash to create the centre.  No black ink for the sentiment...I keep it light and happy with some Melon Mambo Ink. I have been in a creative slump for a long time. I have not been feeling the card making vibe but tonight, I am pleased with how this turned out.

Have a sunshiny day tomorrow!

Freshly Made Sketches #22-A Sketch by Jennifer Timko

Wednesday is here and another sketch at  Freshly Made Sketches! This week the talented and lovely Jennifer Timko is our hostess with the mostess and she has come up with a great sketch that can be blinged up or left clean and simple!

I decided to ink up an old favourite of mine, "Because I Care" from Stampin' Up. It was a hostess set and I loved it SO much! I also used the script stamp from "French Foliage" and the sentiment is from "My Friend". This card was inspired by two challenges, the colours at CR84FN and the Our Creative Corner Challenge which is the theme "Best Friend" and it must include a floral image. In order to achieve the two-toned look on my flower, I inked it with my Stampin' Write Markers.

Supplies Used:
Stamps: All SU!- Because I Care, My Friend, French Foliage
Inks: Lavender Lace, Old Olive, Basic Gray
Papers: Whisper White, Old Olive Marker, Lavender Lace Marker, Basic Gray for Sentiment
Tools: Crimper, Big Shot, Striped Embossing Folder (Sizzix)

The Paper Players Challenge #77-{Just a Note} and CR84FN

Sunday is here and I am off on a fun weekend with my hubby! I sure hope this post will go live! He turned 40 on Thursday and so we decided a little getaway was in order! This week at the Paper Players I am the hostess and I am challenging you to make a project with a Love Theme. It can be romantic love or platonic love!

So I created this card for my sweet friend Jake. The inside says "You Light Up My Life".  Jackie (only I call her Jake) has been my best friend for 30 years! WOW! We met as young children and even though she moved a lot, we always kept in touch.

The colours come from CR84FN. I love the bold, bright hues! This stamp is from Stampendous, and I had a blast colouring it with my Copics.

The Friday Mashup, Scrapbooker's Paradise Guest Designer, CR84FN42 & Sweet and Sassy Digi Challenge

Happy Friday everyone!  It is time for the Friday Mashup!  This week Kasey is our hostess and she has challenged us to go girly and to add our favourite technique!  I had this post ready to go all week but for some reason the formatting was just not working!!!  So I have deleted it all and am trying again!  I created this card for the following challenges:

The Friday Mashup-Go Girly and your Favourite technique (Dry Embossing)

I was pretty excited to win the Scrapbooker's Paradise Challenge a couple of weeks ago and so I have the chance to be a Guest Designer over there this week! Thank you ladies for the wonderful opportunity!!  I also wanted to play along with CR84FN and the Sassy Digi Challenges, so I combined all the challenges to make my snowgal card!

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you get the chance to play along with all these wonderful challenge blogs!!!

CR84FN Challenge #41 {with deepest Sympathy}

I love the colour challenges over at CR84FN. The design team samples are jaw droppingly amazing!!  They are all so perfect and this week my creative juices were flowing as soon as I saw the beautiful soft colours.

I decided to use some pattern paper from the Bo Bunny et cetra pack...I have the 6x6 package and I love the soft colours in there. I found the main piece that I used for the card base and went from there.  I had these roses in my stash and they seemed to work.  I also used some lace ribbon, to add another accent element to the card.  I also added pearls all around the scalloped circle.

Something I rarely do is to stamp the sentiment on the scallop circle. Usually I would cut another circle out of cream coloured cardstock and then stamp on that.  I am happy with stamping on the Baja Breeze paper...it is something different for me!
 Thanks for stopping by!!!

CR84FN and Splitcoast Stampers Sketch Challenge

I have never played along with the CR84FN Challenge before.  I just LOVED the awesome colour combo and decided that I wanted to give it a try!  The Design Team inspiration is amazing!  Then I went in search of a sketch, and found an awesome one for the SCS Sketch Challenge this week!  The samples over there were inspiring too!!!

I decided to ink up another new stamp set (no, I didn't buy EVERYTHING from the new catalogue!! LOL!).  This set is called "Summer Solstice" and it was the number one set I wanted when I saw the new cattie!  I LOVE how it stamps and it is really affordable!

I used the new In Colour called "Wisteria Wonder" and used Celery and Basic Gray as the colour challenge suggested!!!  The sentiment is from " Pursuit of Happiness" again, I just LURVE that set!!!  Once again, I used my favourite French Script background stamp!!!

Thanks for stopping by!!!
