Pile it On Challenge (Mostly Orange)

I made this card as part of the Pile it On Design Team. I was inspired by the CAS challenge on Splitcoast which was to use inspiration from select paintings. This painting caught my eye!I used my Penny Black stamp to create the Poppies and used my SU! Markers and a blender pen to colour them. I then outlined the poppies in Going Gray (SU!). The challenges I used for this card were:

1. Pile it On (Mostly Orange)
2. CAS (Splitcoast Stampers)
3. 2 Red Bananas (Sketch)
4. Cuttlebug Challenge (same Sketch but using Cuttlebug background)

The sentiment I chose was "You Make Me Smile" which is one of my fav sentiment stamps from Penny Black and these bright colours did make me smile.

Thanks for stopping by! Try out the Pile it On Challenge this week!

Smiles,
Lesley ;)

Colour Challenge#227 (SCS)

This card was made for the Splitcoast Stampers Colour Challenge #227. (Lavender Lace, Barely Banana, Going Gray, Black and White).

I used SU! To Have and To Hold Set (which is now retired) and finally used the mini flower vines stamp that came with that set...I really like it! Coloured those little flowers with Lavender and the hair on the bride and groom is Barely Banana. The background paper is black, white and a light gray. I used my Going Gray ink pad and a blender pen to outline the main image. The sentiment I found at a stamping garage sale and it fit perfectly in my circle punches. Once again I used the Top Note die and now I know I need to order it! I love it! To add some bling, I put a couple of pearls on the corners.

I also made a little white envelope to match, using the little flower motif.

Thanks for stopping by!

Double Dutch #22 (Sketch)

This card was made for the Double Dutch Challenge Blog. I am a Design Team Member and we were given a sketch to complete. I was so excited about this sketch, it really got me thinking! At first I was going to use the bird from SU! Always set but then as the card took over, it became lighter and prettier somehow. So I went with the ever adorable Lily stamps from Pink Cat. I love this Lily at the Beach set...it is so much fun to colour and ever cute. The cost is great too! The best part is, these Pink Cat stamps are made in Canada! Almost in my backyard!! LOL!The DSP is from Upsy Daisy Designs, which is also made in Canada! Isn't that great eh? Hehe!! Being a Canadian I am so excited when I am able to use Canadian Product! I also used some SU! Saleabration paper. The flowers were from the clearance bin at a local store, the image was coloured with my copics. I added a little pearl to her hat flower and used some of the fancy brad hardware from SU! The birthday sentiment is from the Hero Arts Cupcake Set.

That's about it!! Hope you are enjoying your day! If you get the chance, please head on over to the Double Dutch Blog and try out the sketch. You can also see all the other DT member creations!
I also have entered this birthday card in Crystal's Blog Candy giveaway contest! Check her contest out!

SSS#12 (For You)

This card was made for the Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge #12. I used my new razzleberry paper by SU! and black and white...I wish I had replaced the black with old olive...I may try to make it again tomorrow using the other colours.

Thanks for stopping by!

Christmas in July and Pet Parade (OCC)

I bought this set in a garage sale at my favourite stamping store! I coloured the image with my copics (I sure wish I had more colours!!) and kept the design really simple...I absoloutely LOVE this AI Acrylic Stamp set!! The sentiment is from A Muse.

I made this card for one of the challenge blogs that asked for Christmas in July but of course I cannot remember where I saw it? If you know, please let me know!! LOL! This is also for the OCC Challenge blog which is to use an animal/animals on your card!!!

Edit**I am submitting this card to an Copic Blog Candy giveway...check it out!!

Lesley :)

Mojo #94 (Here for You)

I made this card for this week's Mojo Challenge. I flipped the sketch. I used the new Rich Razzleberry and I must tell you I was disappointed as it is basically just Bravo Burgundy. I was hoping for a more purple hue in it. Ah well! I do love the Burgundy!
The flowers are coloured with my copics...I debated whether or not I should cuttlebug the background but decided to keep it clean and simple!

Thanks for looking!

Lesley :)

Splicoast Stampers Sketch Challenge #236

This card is for my best friend Jackie. It was her birthday on the weekend and unfortunately I missed it because I was camping with my husband and Cyrus the Wonder Dog. Tomorrow I am going to visit her and take her out to lunch. Can't wait!
The dots were an afterthought...I usually don't dot things but I thought I would try something new. I used a soft gray marker to make the dots...not sure if I like them? The sketch is from SCS Sketch Challenge #236, it seemed like such a fun sketch I had to try it out! I also have it in the SCS gallery!
Thanks for stopping by!

Let Lounging Penguins Lie....

This card was inspired by this week's CPS Sketch Challenge. This card is also for the CAS#22 at Splitcoast Stampers which was to make a CAS Birthday Card. I tilted the sketch a bit (I hope that is ok :) )

I used my summer penguin set (again!!) from Impression Obsession. I coloured my lounging penguin with my Copics and added some bling in the form of a little metal spiral, some ginham ribbon to add the line across the image in the sketch.
Thanks for stopping by!

2Sketches4You-Sketch #30 (Bonus Sketch)

A couple of gal pals and I got together today and made some cards. We used the "2 Sketches 4 You" bonus sketch and created some thank you cards.
We used a moss cardstock for the base, layered it with black and then used pink. The pink panel is embossed with Swiss Dots through the Cuttlebug and the white background is embossed with French Script. The image is from a SU! set. It is coloured with copics.

i{heart}2Stamp (SFYTT #21)

As soon as I saw the i(heart)2stamp sketch layout, I thought of cupcakes in the little circles area but then the Pink Cat Sweet Treats set came out and all of a sudden I was trumping cupcakes with a sundae! LOL!!! I added some stickles to the whipped cream part of the sundae. Coloured it with copics. There are LOTS of layers on this card....including a ribbon layer in the middle. The back panel is stamped with a sentiment from a older Hero Arts set. The main sentiment is also from that set. I just love it and found it in a sale bin for $2.50! I thought it was $10 and took it up to pay for it and it scanned at $2.50!!! Yippee!

Thanks for stopping by! Hope you are enjoying your day!

Colour Throwdown #49 (Chocolate, Guava and Soft Sky)

When I saw the colours for this week's Colour Throwdown, I knew I wanted the card to be clean and simple. I used my Fresh Cuts Set from SU! Have not used that one in a while!! I stamped the centre panel in Chocolate and then inked the little flower in Guava. I cut out the little flower and popped them up on dimensionals. The sentiment is from Garden Greetings. I used the soft sky in the back panel.

Thanks for stopping by!

SCS (Sketch Challenge #235)-You Make Me Smile

This card is for the Splitcoast Stampers Sketch Challenge. I decided to use squares and followed this awesome sketch created by Roxie. I have wanted to use this little Stampendous Monkey for a while. I think he is the most adorable little guy!! My card measures 5x5" and I layered it with chocolate and white and a Kraft type paper.

I punched out the squares with my 1 3/8" and 1 1/4" square punches. Then I stamped the monkey in Chocolate on the small squares. The middles square is on white paper and I coloured that monkey with my Copics. The middle square is also raised on a dimensional.

Thanks for stopping by!!
Happy Canada Day!!

Lesley :)

Mojo Monday- Sketch Challenge #93

This card was made for the Mojo Sketch Challenge. Unfortunately my C Plate on my Cuttlebug broke in half a few weeks ago and I have been unable to use my nesties. So no scallop edges for me!! I did try to follow the sketch as closely as possible. The paper is Daisy Bucket, I used the Best Yet set from SU!, the Classic Labels Set from SU! and the Peony Panel by Stampendous. The ribbon is from Walmart...it is a silver, shiny ribbon. One of my favs!!
I highlighted/coloured the Peonies with my W00 Copic (Warm Grey).

Thanks for stopping by! Smiles...Lesley :)
