Guardian Shields+ are wielded by Guardian Scouts III within "A Moderate Test of Strength" Ancient Shrines. When scanned with the amiibo Rune, the Breath of the Wild Series Guardian amiibo has a chance to spawn a Treasure Chest containing a Guardian Shield+. They are larger versions of Guardian Shields with a boosted output level.[1] They belong to the Guardian Gear equipment archetype.[2] In terms of defensive abilities, they are considered to be on par with metal Shields.[1] Like other variations of Guardian Shields, Guardian Shields+ are capable of reflecting the beams of Guardian Scouts and other Guardians.
As they are made from Ancient Technology, Guardian Shields+ will float if they are dropped in Water. Unlike metal Shields, they will not conduct Electricity or attract Lightning during Thunderstorms, and they will not burn when exposed to Fire or a Scorching Climate like wooden Shields. They also cannot be manipulated with the Magnesis Rune.
