Hola kitties! Bet I have you thinking about this title. How and why is CK in England? Heh! You'll find out
later. July is World Watercolor Month so I'm going to be sharing a lot of
watercolor art. Mr. AI has helped quite a bit.
As most 18-year-old cats do, I slept through my
birthday. Pop is replacing two of the sisal legs/scratchers on my Tower of Power as I dictate this post. TW, on the other paw, bought herself an early birthday
present using a lot of green papers that she could have used to buy me a NEW
Tower of Power.
Pop bought the replacement legs cos I had scratched the older legs until
they were worn out. We love Armakat trees since you can buy replacement parts
rather than buying another tree. This is the second time the legs have been
replaced. The tree, otherwise, is in close to purrfect shape.
Friendly Fill-ins
Let's answer some of Friendly Fill-Ins, a weekly feature held at this time,
which is already in progress. Our hosts—15andmeowing
and
Four Legged Furballs—need no innerductions as they are giants in the cat blogging world. They
think up the fill-ins and I fill in the correct answers. My answers are
boldface. This week my image relates to number two.
1. When I sleep all day in TW's bed, it means that I am sick. Normally I sleep all day in my she-shed or on the chair next to Pop.
2. I don't mind fireworks. I'm deaf. I don't hear them but even when I could hear they didn't bother me. We have good windows and are on the 4th floor so it's not so loud. The peeps used to leave me alone every July 4th to go outside to see Macy's fireworks when they shot them on the Hudson River so it's a good thing they never bothered me.
3. I have a newfound appreciation for being deaf. I'm no longer terrified of thunderstorms since I don't hear them. I used to cower under Pop's sink during storms but I sleep through them now.
4. I think everyone should adopt or foster cats so that there are less on the streets and shelters have room for new kittens and displaced cats. We recently shared two on FB that our friend Liz rescued and they're currently crated in her basement which isn't an ideal situation. She's a cat-rescuer hero as she and some neighbors spent one full day trying to get a kitten out a car. I hope someone will step up to foster little LT.

Caturday art
Caturday Art is hosted by the lovely Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty and her mum to showcase how talented us anipal artists are. We can use the many different digital apps, Photoshop, AI art or share original art. Actually all the art programs/apps use AI but a lot of older ones employ picture to picture, rather than text to pictures.I think this art from the archives is one of my watercolor masterpieces. I found this great box in my hostel room in London. If I fits, I sits.
Enjoy your weekend and the week ahead. Hope you liked my watercolor art. I
have more to share next week.
Oh yes, indeed we do like/love your watercolor artwork, and how pawsome that you can transport yourself anywhere in the whole wide world with it! We didn't know July was "watercolor month", but we'd actually planned a whole month long Art Gallery Retrospective ... really so's the hu-mom could kinda take some time off from doing new stuff, or rather try to learn "how to do new stuff" (cause she still supersucks at AI), sigh. Anyway, you're one lucky girl (being dear I thinks) as the thunder boomers scare the furrypants off me, I hide in the closet under her chest of drawers and don't come out for nothin' and no one. But then I s'pose if'n I couldn't hear I wouldn't hear my food bowl getting filled either, huh? So ... TW is to have a birthday? Is she ancient like mine is? Inquiring minds and all ... happy, happy early.
ReplyDeleteMy cats aren't scared of fireworks either. Love the London art. And the watercolor!
ReplyDeleteyour artwork is beautiful CK! I remember when my Angel Bobo lost his hearing, he was around 16. Made me sad but he still could enjoy many things!!!!
ReplyDeleteI so agree with your number 4 answer, I wish more people would adopt and foster cats too. We do have lots of rescuers working in our area but they are finding an overwhelming number of stray cats and kittens this year. Love the artwork, the older watercolor really appeals to me, and the AI with the London setting is cool too.
ReplyDeleteThose are good fill ins. I like both artworks.
ReplyDeleteThank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers, especially #4. My Joanie is almost 18 and also deaf so nothing bothers her either. I want to know what TW got for an early birthday gift. I love your art. Thank you for the puzzles.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're getting your tree all fixed up CK and those were good fill-in answers. We'll have to see how Maxwell and Macy do with the fireworks. Your London art sure is pretty CK!
ReplyDeleteLove your England art! We wanna go too :) Hope TW bought something extra special for herself!
ReplyDeleteSweetie is deaf too, CK; I have to bump the bed so she wakes up for breakfast.
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous art today, and I'm now off to puzzle...thanks!
We had no idea that July is Watercolour month. Your art is lovely. Welcome to England!
ReplyDeleteYay for Pop replacing the legs on your tree, CK.
ReplyDeleteYes, not being able to hear those stoopy fireworks is a positive, for sure. We're fortunate that Ava doesn't really give a hoot about them (or thunder). Thank Cod.
Hugs to you, TW, and Pop!
We don't really worry about fireworks (or thunder boomies) either. We know We are safe indoors. But We worry about the poor, homeless kitties. We agree one zillion per cent that people should adopt more kitties from shelters and off the streets, instead of lining the pockets of humans who breed them for money!
ReplyDeleteCK! Furrst, you don't look a day over 12. I don't care if you are way older than me, I, Marvelous Marv love you too bits! I LOVE your art today too! And as I am posting late -- today is a very special day for the US! We wish you all a safe and happy Independence Day celebrations! Keep being awesome! Purrs your #1 Fan Boy! Marvelous Marv
ReplyDeleteYour artwork is really cool! Fireworks and thunderstorms never bothered any of my animals, but they bother me. The fireworks and thunderstorms, not my animals. Hahaha! Have a good weekend! Sending healing thoughts to everyone in the townhouse!
