There was too much excitement when Pop went down. Suddenly the condo was filled with strangers: cops, EMTs, gurneys and everything else. I watched from the hallway while they worked on Pop and barked orders to TW. I thought I was the only one allowed to do that. Pop was finally responsive when they wheeled him out. TW followed and I was alone all day, wondering what I'd just seen. Hours later, TW came home by herself … with Chinese food but I didn't even come in to get any. It was those lousy boneless ribs anyway.
I think she was partying cos Pop wasn't home.
TW: I hadn't eaten all day. I was starving. No party.
CK: Whatever.
I wanted to know: Where's Pop? Is he alive? What have you done with
him?
Long story still long but could be longer. I wouldn't eat nothing until he
came home Tuesday. Something about low blood pressure and electrolytes,
whatever they are. TW was a pain in the you-know-what. Every half hour she
was bringing food or broth to me. Take it away, Woman! Bring me Pop!
If TW Fits, She sits
CK: The Woman sat on me! She sat on me with her 10 tons! Then
she screamed and almost broke my eardrums to add insult to injury.
TW: I don't think I sat all the way down. What were you doing on my
chair? BTW, I only weigh 128 lb.
CK: *I* own everything here so it's *my* chair and I
can sit in it without feeling your 20-ton butt.
TW: I only weigh 128 lb! I got weighed two weeks ago. Plus, if I
fits; I sits.
CK: 40-ton butt! I think you see where this is going and you
better quit while you're still able to fit in the doorway!
Friendly Fill-ins
Let's answer some of Friendly Fill-Ins, a weekly feature held at this time, which is already in progress. Our hosts—15andmeowing and Four Legged Furballs—need no innerductions as they are giants in the cat blogging world. They think up the fill-ins and I fill in the correct answers. My answers are boldface. This week my image relates to number one.1. How humans can just throw cats out into the street is something that boggles my mind. We are family members—NOT PROPERTY. Humans will recycle everything and donate clothes and furniture but we cats just get dumped. Would they dump their sticky little humans? One of the cats in this image looks a lot like, well, ME.
2. I hope to put on some weight this summer. Of course I'd have to eat but it's too hot.
4. Sending Pop to Urgent Care wasn't my best idea. That's in the past now. I really didn't mean to bite him all the way to the bone but that was so last year.
Caturday Art
Caturday Art is hosted by the lovely Athena Cat Goddess Wise Kitty and her mum to showcase how talented us anipal artists are. We can use the many different digital apps, Photoshop, AI art or share original art. Actually all the art programs/apps use AI but a lot of older ones employ picture to picture, rather than text to pictures.Prompt: stunning gray cat with white chest, wet on wet watercolor on newsprint, sloppy, speedy, splatters. This actually looks more like art than the art piece. We 'shopped the nose a bit so it looks more like my markings. Even the "devil horns" are intact.
That's it from me. Now it's your turn to comment.
We are glad Pop is home safe and sound and that you survived being sat on. We would like to claim that, that would never happen here but Mom sits on Yin on a regular basis, you would think Yin was invisible or something. Scylla has also been sat on because she like to burrow under the covers and is actually invisible but you would think Mom would notice lumps under the covers. And she actually stepped on Fenris, and you know if she can't see him she is as blind as a bat.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you were ALMOST crushed (key word being almost). I'm glad your pop his home, that sounds like it was scary. I hope he's feeling better!
ReplyDeleteCK, that's a lot of craziness!
ReplyDeleteWe are purring for Pop and TW...and of course, for you, since you have to put up with those two!
As for a arty site, I recommend Prisma, which I downloaded to my phone for free.
Later, I decide to pay for it, and I enjoy messing around with my worst cat pics, because they make fun subjects to artify.
So glad your Pop is now OK, and that you came through being sat upon, CK. We don't understand how people abandon cats or any other animals, either. Nice art, and I do like the way the AI one turned out this week.
ReplyDeleteI am glad your Pop has recovered and back home. It must have been very scary for you and TW! Your art is great. I am not that sold on AI Art. Some comes out okay, but some is plain weird. I still keep at it as long as they give me free credits.
ReplyDeleteYes, what a week all three of you had and the home full of strangers like that is no fun and downright scary. I'm glad all is okay now though. Those were good answers and totally purrfect art too!
ReplyDeleteAmen to #1! Mudpie knows all about EMTs invading a house. It can be very traumatic!
ReplyDeleteI am sorry that happened to Pop and that you were too upset to eat.I am glad he is back home. Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers except about sending Pop to Urgent Care. I hope you gain some weight this summer. Sorry I have no suggestions , I always use Lunapic.
ReplyDeleteI love both of you works of art. Thank you for the puzzles. XO
I'm glad that Pop is back home now! I still can't believe that TW sat on you and crushed you! This 128 lbs that TW was talking about, is "lbs" a code word for "tons" ? (◠‿◕) You should eat more, CK, you need to get more strength to withstand any more potential crushings. (◠‿◕) Sending healing thoughts to everyone in the townhouse! Have a good weekend!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry your Pop was so sick and gone so long. I hope you are eating better now, you are certainly beautiful.
ReplyDeleteMiss CK.. Poor you ! You should demand more treats for TW ! Meow out loud CK !!
ReplyDeleteMe so happy your POP HAS RECOVERED AND BACK HOME !
Purrs for best healing
x
Glad your pop is OK and you weren't sat on. Love the artwork!
ReplyDeleteWe are glad all of that is in your rear view now, CK. It must have been so scary (we know WE were scared when we heard about Pop being in the hospital). And then TW sat on you by accident. That is one tough week for sure. Love to you all.
ReplyDeleteOh dear - you do seem to have had a couple of near misses, CK! Well, OK, Pop couldn't help passing out - but TW really ought to look before plonking herself down! Anyway - We hope Pop is now OK. Why did the cops turn up when he passed out though? Paramedics We get, but cops?
ReplyDeleteWe always love your art. About recommendations - well, LunaPic is Our Favourite, as you have probably guessed, but We also like PhotoFunia quite a lot.
Oopsie: sorry to be late, been the proverbial "when it rains it pours" week for you CK and your fambly, so sorry. Hoping all are on the mend now ... Pops shouldn't do stuff like that, too too scary. As for you, stop the whining, you know that TW is a lightweight, right? But you're amusing nonetheless with all the whiney business. Anywayz, great art, love the second one the best ... here's to a GOOD week.
ReplyDeleteAnn from Zoolatry asked me to let you know the software I use. I use PicMonkey, Photoscape and Lunapic, so not much help and on my phone are the art apps that create for me. i don't have the gift of ART that you and Ann have so not much help. Sorry to hear about Pop and glad you were not smashed in the almost sit upon. Beau weighs almost as much as your mom so no way to miss him and sit on him. Hope things calm down and all is well with Pop. it is harder to treat low BP than High..
ReplyDeleteWe are happy that every one os OK. Was it an almost sit on you or a full on sit?
ReplyDeleteCK, your poor thing almost being crushed by being sat on. And I hope Pop will be okay. Sending purrs and blessings.
ReplyDeleteCK, that was the week from H-E-double hockey sticks for you and your parents!
