History
• The Chicago red stars were established in 2007
• They started off in the WPSL with 6 other teams
• In 2011, they made it to the WPSL championship and lost to the
California Wave
• From 2009-2012 was another league that the Red Stars joined called
the WPS
• In 2011, the Red Stars bought the rights from the WPSL
• At the start of the 2013 season, the NWSL was formed
• In 2019, the Red Stars had their first championship appearance
• In 2021, the Red Stars had their second championship appearance
Current
● Two key players were missing in the 2021 season due to injury ( Julie Ertz & Alyssa
Naeher)
● Watt & Pugh entered the 2021 season bringing a new energy offensively to the team
● Boyd and Miller stepped into Naeher role making huge adjustments
● The 2021, season was the best winning season at home they’ve had
○ The record: 8-2-2
● Sarah Gordon received the “Feat of iron woman”

Campaign Budget
● Podcast
○ The podcast producer will make $60,000 to support the cost of living in Chicago
○ Equipment: Rodecaster, headsets, microphones, cameras, SD cards, editing software
● Instagram and TikTok
○ A salary of $45,000 will be paid to the social media manager to manage both the Instagram account and TikTok account
○ Equipment: camera, photo editing software, ring light, iPad
● Appearances
○ The cost for appearances would come in the form of travel for the staff and players
○ Costs: Vehicles, Food, Gas,
● Newsletter
○ The social media manager will also be in charge of writing the ad for the YWCA Newsletter
○ The expenses will come from putting the ad in the newsletter twice a month for the whole year
