DEFINITION:
A group of words that stands together as a single
grammatical unit typically as a part of a clause or a
sentence. It cannot stand alone as it does NOT contain a
subject and a verb. It usually consists of a article,
preposition or noun.
USAGE:
It is used to fill up a clause or a sentence. It acts as a noun,
an adjective, or an adverb in a sentence.
Example:
in the box
finished the module
eating apple
under construction
Etc.
CLAUSES
DEFINITION:
A group of words having both subject and verb. It can
sometimes act as a sentence but it’s not always the case. There
are two types of clauses
1:Independent clause
2:Dependent clause
