    HISTORY & BACKGROUND :-
    Seven Basic Tools of Quality :

    • The Seven Basic Tools of Quality (also known as 7 QC Tools)


    originated in Japan when the country was undergoing major
    quality revolution and had become a mandatory topic as part
    of Japanese’s industrial training program.

    • These tools which comprised of simple graphical and


    statistical techniques were helpful in solving critical quality
    related issues.

    • These tools could be implemented by any person with very


    basic training in statistics and were simple to apply to solve
    quality-related complex issues.

    • These Tools are developed by the person shown in the picture.

    IMPORTANCE OF QUALITY TOOLS :-
    Seven Basic Tools of Quality :

    • Kaoru Ishikawa has stated that these 7 tools can


    be used to solve 95% of all problems.

    • The 7 Tools of Quality is a designation given to a


    fixed set of graphical techniques identified as
    being most helpful in troubleshooting issues
    related to quality.

    • They are used to analyze the production process,


    identify the major problems, control fluctuations
    of product quality, and provide solutions to avoid
    future defects.

    • A structured, prepared form for collecting and analyzing data; a
    generic tool that can be adapted for a wide variety of purpose.
