    At the end of this module, We can :
    • Generate a report on the performance of our ICT project for
    social change on the basis of data gathered from available
    monitoring tools and evaluating techniques.
    • Create a reflexive piece or output using ICT tool, platform,
    or application of choice on the learning experience
    undergone during the semester.
    Analytics and Maintenance of ICT Projects
    • In this module, the focus will be on the application of the
    concepts learned in the previous module on social change
    projects in ICT, which includes monitoring the amount of
    traffic and user views on ICT applications dedicated for
    social change.

    • Regular Web site maintenance is essential to keep the
    viewers of the Web site satisfied and its content error free.
    • Common problems brought upon by Web sites not properly
    maintained are broken links and the presence of
    nonfunctioning site elements.
    • For social change Web sites, new happenings and events
    will surely be sought after; thus, maintenance and updates
    are essential.

    Updates can include the following parameters:
    • Product Updates – Items or services offered by the Web site
    are referred to as products.
    • Discontinuation of a product – Similar to the announcement
    of new products, viewers should be informed that a certain
    service or product offered by the Web site has already been
    phased out or no longer exists.

    • Change in prices – The change in prices should be
    announced on the Web site so that customers will not be
    caught unaware when purchasing items on your Web site.
    • Company or organization news – This update ensures that

    • Feature addition – Upon the creation of the Web site, there
    are times where activities are deadline bound.

    structure or the program of the Web site.

    is broken, and the solution to fix it.

    different vital user information, social media can be used by
    this application to target a certain group of individuals with
    common demographic characteristics.
    Internet Activism
    • Internet activism or online activism refers to the use of
    ICT technologies to communicate faster with different
    individuals and citizen movements efficiently.
    • The technology is usually used to solicit resources and
    cause-related fundraising, community building, and
    organizing.
    • There are there main categories of online activism:
    awareness or advocacy, organization or mobilization, and
    action or reaction.
    Internet Activism
    • The most popular type of activism is the hashtag activism.

    • A hashtag (#) is a common tool in most social media


    applications to tag a certain post.
