ASSEMBLY AND DECORATIONS
Sew the beak between the 17th and 21st rows of the head, stuff the detail (photo 24). How to sew the beak

If you haven't used the eyes with stalks, it’s time to glue them. I use eyes with stulks, but glue them. I like it
better this way, because the plug doesn’t interfere with the design of the face in the future, and a thread “doesn’t
run” under the glued eye.
Firstly mark the points 1 and 2 between the 15th and 16th rows of the head (the space between points is 12
sc (photo 25)). Position the points so that the beak is centered between them. If necessary, increase or decrease the
distance between the points.
Now take a thick knitting needle or something similar (I use knitting needle No5.5 (5.5 mm)) and start to
gradually expand the crocheted fabric at these points (photo 26). How to do it, look on example at the link

Now take glue and drip inside the resulting hole. Also, lubricate the inner surface of the eye with glue. In-
sert the eyes there and press on them, wait a couple of minutes (photo 27). How to do it, look on examle at the link

Start to design the face (photo 28). Embroider the whites of the eyes with a white thread (I used whole
thread Yarn Art Jeans No62). Embroider the eyelids with the whole main thread. Embroider the brows with the
brown thread (I use Alize Cotton Gold №690, 2 threads of 4). How to design the face, look at the link

Make the crest with the main color. To do this, make chain 6 ch, insert the hook in the 2nd loop from the
hook and crochet 5 sc, make chain 5 ch, insert the hook in the 2nd loop from the hook and crochet 4 sc. Cut the
thread, leaving a long end for sewing. Sew the crest to the top of the head.
Tint the cheeks with dry pastel pf pink color. How to do it, look at the link

Take a piece of wire about 20 cm long, fold it in such way that the cut points are approximately in the mid-
dle (photo 29). The folded length should be about 10 cm. Isolate it with adhesive plaster (photo 30).
Now place the frame in the body and the other end into the hole of the head. The frame must be evenly
spaced, i.e. half should be on the body, half on the head (photo 31). Sew the head, stuff the neck in the course of

Now we need to connect the wings and sleeves. To do this, half the sleeve in half and insert the wing in-
side, further crochet 1 sc, grasping the sleeve’s loops only. Further crochet 4 sc, grasping loops of the wing and
sleeve together (photo 35). Crochet 1 sc, grasping the sleeve’s loops only. Cut the thread, leaving a long end for

Sew the wings between the 25th and 26th rows of the body (photo 37, 38). How to sew the wings carefully,

Crochet 2 pant legs with the blue thread and hook №2 (2.00 mm). Make chain 24 ch and close the ring by 1 sl st,
further crochet in a spiral:
1-5 rnd: 24 sc (5 rows)
Cut the thread on the 1st pant leg only (photo 39).
Make chain 3 ch from the 2nd pant leg (photo 40) and insert the hook in the 1st loop of the last row of the 1st leg, as
it’s shown at the photo 41. Further crochet in a spiral:
1 rnd: 24 sc on the 1st pant leg (photo 42), 3 sc on the chain (photo 43), 24 sc on the 2nd pant leg, 3 sc on the other
side of the chain (54) (photo 44)
2-13 rnd: 54 sc (12 rows)

Make straps in the next row. Crochet 5 csl st, make chain 37 ch (photo 46), insert the hook in the 8th loop from the
hook and crochet 30 sl st on the chain (photo 47), further crochet sl st in the next loop of the row (photo 48). It’ll be
the 1st strap. Crochet 37 sl st, make chain 37 ch and crochet 30 sl st from the 8th loop from the hook, further crochet
1 sl st in the next loop of the row. End the row, crocheting 7 sc. Cut the end, fasten off, hide the end (photo 49).
