Time: 55min Topic: Integrated skill:


Objective: by the end of this lesson students will be able to name, recognize, and sequence the
days of the week. Learn new words related to days of the week (today, yesterday, tomorrow,
week, weekend)

Materials: board, calendar, flashcards

stage activity technique timing


Warm-up - Greeting students 5min
- ask students to Raise their hands, if they know the name of any day of Eliciting
the week.

presentation - Tt askes students’ what day is it today 10min


- Ss try to give answers
- Tt shows the calendar and points out the days of the week, then write
them on the board (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Brainstorming
Saturday, Sunday) Eliciting
- Tt plays a song that names the days of the week
- Ss repeat after it.

Practice - Tt show flashcards with each day of the week and have students 15min
repeat after her as she shows.
- Tt Mix up the flashcards and ask for volunteers to put them in the
correct order. Do this as a group to reinforce their learning. Guessing
- Tt Uses the classroom calendar to go over the current week., Then Memorizing
Asks questions like "What day comes after Wednesday?" or "What day
is before Sunday?"
- Tt Encourages them to answer in complete sentences, such as
"Thursday comes after Wednesday."

Production - Tt gives students cards with a day written on it. Tt asks Ss to stand up 15min
and work together to arrange themselves in the correct order of the
week.
Homework - rewrite the days of the week in the correct order:
 Wednesday
 Sunday
 Tuesday
 Saturday
 Thursday
 Monday
 Friday
- write one sentence about what you do on Sunday.
