Tutor Action Plan

CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR FIRST GIG!


We've set up this quick and easy ''Tutor Action Plan'' as a guide
for you as the tutor to fall back on might you need anything.

WHAT NOW?
If a time wasn't scheduled before hand, you'll need to arrange
a time with the Student/Parent for the first lesson.
Any special requirements will be communicated before hand
by our Sales team.

Here is an example of an introductory message:


''Hi (their name), how are you? 😁 I'm (your name) from
Prep2Perfection and I'll be your (subject) tutor. I'm contacting
you so we can arrange lessons and discuss the course
content to be covered during the lessons. When are you
writing your next test? I look forward to hearing from you.
*smiley face*"
BEFORE THE LESSON:
Prepare well. If the student isn't happy, you will lose the
gig.
Do not wing it! Familiarize yourself with the work. If the
student/parent aren't satisfied, you won't receive
compensation.
Please make sure you are on time! If for some reason you
are late or can't attend a lesson the student/parent and
Prep2Perfection should be notified ahead of time.
If the lesson is online make sure you are familiar with the
platform you are using and that the connection is stable.
We recommend Microsoft Teams. Follow the link for a
tutorial.
AFTER THE LESSON:
Make sure that you fill in the ''Lesson Log'' for to make sure we can
keep track of performance and allocate payments. Simply click LESSON LOG
the button next to the text to access the form.
Remind the Student/Parent to fill in the feedback after you've
recorded the lesson.
Payments will be done at the end of the month so remember to
check your emails. Lessons should be logged after each session.
Use any feedback the student provides to prepare your next
lesson. Schedule the next lesson, to make sure you work through
your hours.

IF ANY ISSUES ARISE:
If any form of issue arises or you sense an issue with
the student/parent, please notify the staff so it can
be resolved. If we get notified we can help! We will
notify the student/parent!
If for some reason you can't continue with the lessons
or can't make a lesson or have any form of conflict.
Please notify the represntative that connected you
to the student.
HOW TO MAKE THIS A SUCCESS:
Prepare well before the lesson.
Communicate effectively and with confidence.
Get feedback after each lesson. Remind the student they
will receive an email to approve the lesson.
Answer the parents/students ASAP.

If an issue arises where you are not prepared or you are


substituted for another tutor, we unfortunelty cannot pay you.
HOW THE 30 MINUTE FREE LESSONS
WORK: ONLY WHEN NOTIFIED BY THE
PREP2PERFECTION TEAM
You and the student will have a 30 minute session, for the student
to see if you are the best fit for them. Only to be done if notified by
Prep2Perfection.
You will receive the work to be covered in this lesson before hand.
Otherwise you can assess the student's issues and demonstrate
how you can assist them in the lessons going forward.
You can send us a Microsoft Teams link. We will then forward it to
the client.
If the student is happy with you, then the lessons will proceed.
You will only have the 30 min lesson. You are only to continue
with the lessons after we've notified and given you the go ahead
to continue with the rest of the hours.
